Let’s keep California tax refund people updated here
If you had them for over half the year it is your right to claim them. You have to have provided more than half their care financially. Where you had them seven months and he had them five you should be able to claim them unless he has a court order saying otherwise. Just make sure you put they lived with you seven months. He can file and claim them for five but won’t get much if anything.
I lived with my parents for 10 months of the year in 2015. They sued me for custody of my two children and won temporary custody in October. I had an income of $9,000 last year. I submitted my 2015 tax return, which I claimed my girls on because I had full custody of them for more than 7 months, on January 18th and was accepted. Today I received a text message from my father who found out I claimed them Stating that he wanted to clean them on his tax return in that he was going to sue me. he said that I would be hearing from his lawyer and that he is going to press fraud charges on me. Is this possible? Can they stop my rewritten from being processed after it is accepted? I thought that I had every legal right to claim my children because I had custody of them for more than 7 months and my income was more than $3,000. does anyone have any experience with this?
@ricks, some of us just want to know when it may arrive. Maybe we had serious health problem, I’ve spent several months in the hospital due to a JOB related injury. Even with losing money my bills ARE paid. I do not call IRS, I have checked WMR one time. I do want to send my son in the military a bigger than usual care package. He deserves it, while you are teaching your son responsibility mine is using lessons I taught him while protecting our country.
You should be teaching your son how to be kind to others too. I don’t see how teaching him it is cool to be rude will help him in life even if he does pay his bills. Something may happen when he can’t, you need to think about how you will react should that happen.
Turbo tax has an error they are working on. If you scroll some you will see $0 was deposited, the amount is whatever your return is.

I’m an unfit parent because I teach my kids not to live paycheck to paycheck? Or depend on someone/something that might or might not come through? We have different defination.of of unfit parenting. My kids never want for anything. They know the value of a penny. A 10 year old kid has saved his money for a trip to California because he wants to go bad. Sp he saved what he needed plus extra money so he can splurge on whatever he wants. Learn the true definition of parenting. I’m teaching mine to be ideal citizens of this fucked up country that I love.

So after a lot of research online I have come to the conclusion that anyone who was accepted before the 19th will more than likely get their refunds on the 29th or before.
I’m guessing we might see some approvals this weekend and maybe even tomorrow at the earliest.Why would I leave. This is teaching my kids what happens when your a failure at life. My 10 year old son is asking why do they need the money so bad? Lol a 10 year old. He said you don’t have your priorities in line

Let me borrow $100.00 your upset because I can wait all year without my refund? Or is it because I’m a man and pay all my bills on time and don’t need the refund check. All this check to me is a savings. They can have the check until I retire. It would not phase me at all. Be a man/woman whatever you are and handle your business like an adult

anyone having a problem getting a transcript I filed w my new address so earlier at 1pm I tried to order a transcript I put in my new address and it said it didn’t match so I put in my old address from last yr and it matched so I tried again now w my old address and new address it says it didn’t match whats up w that the lady at irs customer service said when my return is finished processing I will be able to order a transcript with my new address and that my address would be updated
It is being desperate when your checking your refund status every 2 minutes. I don’t understand how you can depend on this once a year check. That is crazy to me
I wish the system would move away from the refund system entirely and start paying back that 19 trillion dollar debt that we are in. Some of you are worried about the little shit in life.Has anyone received a DDD for their state refund? In the past my state has always come faster than my federal, but I live in GA now so I’m npy sure how it works here
I filed with H&R Block on 1/18 at 11pm and my status still shows as pending. Like everyone else I always received an email stating my return was accepted within a few hours, so I was a little concerned. I just called H&R Block and spoke to a customer service rep and she advised me that my return wasn’t actually submitted to the IRS until 1/20. She said they had an influx of returns that we in their queue. I assumed it was submitted on the 19th when the IRS started accepting them. I hope this information helps anyone else wondering why their status is still pending.
I filed on 17th. Accepted by arkansas on 19th. Showing on their site as received and DD will be sent in 5-7 days. I called today to make sure I didn’t owe from a past year. Lady said my deposit will be sent on 24th.
I thought other people taxes I did free returns on the 15th they all got accepted within 5 or 10 minutes I did another one about maybe the next day or two days later it just got accepted so hang in there it will get accepted is everything is right
I filed HRB on 1-19 & was accepted 48 hours later today 1-21.
Keep in mind that there’s a heavy influx of people filing right now so it may take up to 48 hours. I got anxious since I have been accepted immediately in the past but I am feeling better now that i know they have it. I am just waiting on the approval & its all good from there. I expect they will be pumping out the refunds as soon as they can. Hang in there everyone, we will be paid soon!So is it real or is it fake only my hairdresser knows for sure
I’ve been using Netspend for 5 years my deposits are always there ahead of time that includes my payroll check my check from Uber and my social security disability check and always my income tax check is right on time
I did my taxes on text at and got accepted the same day which was the 15th of January good luck everyone

WMR – 1 barI just got done going through our bank statements from the previous years:
2013: rec’d refund 2/6
2014 rec’d refund 2/12 (due to us having our filing fee deducted from our return)
2015 rec’d refund 2/4
All of which were on a Wednesday.So I’m figuring maybe Wednesday 2/3 ?!?

I filed on the 11th directly through ftb Cal file whenever I check wmr it tells me we cannot give any information online called and spoke to a report yesterday and she said it was still processing and I should see something by the end of next week. Something seems different this year, I’ve always filed through Calfile had an update on where’s my refund within 3 days and my refund within 10 days.

Did you call H&R Block’s 800 number? I filed through H&R Block on 1/18 at 11 pm and still says pending. In the past I have been accepted within a few hours of filing.
sbbt says 2/4 deposit for me

I sent my return on 1/19 via HRBlock – was accepted by the IRS after lunch today. No other update as of now
it does not take any longer to get your money after an offset you would get your money in the same time you would have gotten it if you had not have had an offset

I would definitely call the IRS! Hopefully they didn’t send it to the wrong person.
