Update, after being MIA for a long time, my bars returned Saturday with a DDD of the Feb. 20.
I filed and was accepted on Feb. 2
bars disappeared Feb. 8I lost my bars yesterday. Same tax situation as last year, basically the same return. FIled with Turbotax software. No EIC no ACTC. It appears the missing bars mean we are under review for some reason. Could be something simple and the bars will return in a couple days with a DDD or could be that the IRS needs more paperwork. Either way, they can’t promise we will get our refunds in the 21 day window so they removed the bar. All we can do is wait for a letter or a DDD, which ever comes first. It sucks, but we are kinda at the mercy of the reviewer and his work load and how fast he can manually process/correct the returns that are sent the them.
well now lets wait for some sinister letter from the irs that will supposedly tell me everything I need to know about how to pry my refund from their icy hands. Its 2200 stinking bucks. I mean come on why pick on me? Some people getting back so much they afraid their bank can’t accept the deposit and they gonna pick on my measly 2 grand?
I have been on hold for 45 min. I am scared to hang up because the lady is “researching” .

stupid..the whole thing is just stupid. I bet if i owed a tax bill it would not be this hard to get information. I am never using the child credits again. ever. Next year my goal is to just break even. No mess, no fuss.

Mine is the same. If I put in head of household it tells me I entered wrong Info. If I put in single it says it’s still being processed. Wtf.
I have that messsage but have not received a letter or anything. However my husband did get selected To verify last year and after he got the letter with the code and went through the process his deposit dropped the next week. Even with this whole “shutdown got us behind” business I don’t think it will be much longer than that. IIRC, waiting for the letter took longer than waiting for the deposit.
@smkillion1 What did your WMR look like when you were chosen for I’d verify?
@sprintcupfan88 I have the same problem you do. Went from 1 bar to no bars and the message that was return was processing to it not even being able to find my return. Its almost like I got booted from the system. I don’t anticipate anything happening further with WMR until at least Wednesday and I can call them and ask “WTactualF. Btw, I checked my hubbies and his is fine, juevinh st processing away.
.@Maranda Mine is the same. WMR is not even finding anything with my information after the update this morning. I give up. Guess it will either be deposited at some point and time or it wont.
