PATH msg gone and refund and back but no DDD!!

Hi all, so I’m just wondering how many PATHERS who were expecting good updates instead lost the PATH msg and still dong have a ddd? I filed and was accepted 1/31.. Got PATH msg and refund disappeared w no bars around the 2nd week of Feb and this morning woke up to the refund amount back again, still no bars and just a generic “We have received your refund and it is being processed. A date will be available later” or something like that.. I’m a weekly updater so I was hoping for good news but still no DDD. Is this good or bad?

I filed 1/29 and was accepted 1/30. Have been stuck on still processing with TT152 forever. I called IRS last week and was told they didn’t receive my return until 2/13 so my 21 days isn’t up until 3/6. That’s not true! My transcripts aren’t available yet either. Anyone have any idea what’s going on? I do have both credits. Last year I was accepted around the same date and flagged for review. Kept getting pushed back and finally got my full refund plus interest in June. Is history repeating itself? :(

Marie Code 1541 is an an internal code that the IRS uses to identify returns that have been “Delayed”. This doesn’t necessarily indicate there is a problem with your tax return, it could simply be that the IRS has an overflow of tax returns at this time and processing tax returns is behind schedule.Feb 24, 2017

I was so worried when my bar dissapeared but today the system updated at 320am and i got a ddd. When i called early yesterday they said anyone who filed early and had eitc and atcc would be updated at 3am they were right! I was so scared because usually when your bar dissapeares your unusually being reviewed but they said anyone over 21 days or with the eitc and atcc the bar dissapeares because they are processing all of them! So excited my heart sunk when i didn’t see the bar.

Hello, if you are with Jackson Hewitt, create an account on their website. From there you’ll be able to access your progress. If your ‘Return Status’ reads “Acknowledged” that means your return has been “filed, received and accepted by the IRS”. Thus, a refund will be issued.

The 846 code is on your transcripts. You have to access them online if you can log in and create an account. I’m a pather was accepted 1/28, I see the 846 on my transcript this morning with the ddd of 2/27/19. That updated overnight because the code was not there yesterday and no ddd.

IRS says WMR will update for most early filers 2/23 – tomorrow – with 2/27 DDD.

Some HAVE gotten earlier DDD and a few when got refunds already, but they are part of small test batches – not the “mass PATHer” crowd like the rest of us.

IRS told me if you see “your return is being processed” with no bars on WMR, as long as there’s no action message or tax topic other than 152, this means your return has processed & is sitting in the system awaiting update per the PATH laws.

We should see WMR movement tomorrow & a DDD of 2/27.

You can get your transcripts online if you have a credit card, mortgage, or auto loan and a phone in your name! Otherwise you order it in the mail, I’m waiting on mine currently. That’s where the codes are

@Jessica: Yes….many of us weeklies who have waited for a week or more (from being accepted) should get a DDD this weekend. The only thing that will prevent you from getting one this weekend is if you are resequenced or they need to review your return further or an audit.

@Lynn: You have good codes! Just waiting on that 846 like a lot of us are as well. :)

The processing date is more or less a “process by date” so that returns don’t get stuck without a resolution. As the date approaches then the system is flagged to scan the account again to see if there was a problem that caused it to no be resolved. For the most part, having your refund released (846 code) resolves the account and it closes it out.

Lynn this is your processing list as the days go by and the system makes calculated adjustments it takes note and give a code for every move.

The system filed your forms or “Tax return filed” on 02/18/2019 the process code: 150 and cycle date: 20190505
The next process was doing your “W-2 or 1099 withholding” that process code: 806,
then “Credit to your account” with process code: 766, …..etc.

every process has a code. And when the funds are released guess what code that is……………………………. 846

Just to give accurate information, rather than the generic irs dates given on press releases/websites.

There were people with DDD of 2/21,22,23 receiving deposits yesterday. There were FEW, like I only saw 1 or 2 people WITHOUT a DDD get a deposit on 2/19.
I was an early filer with PATH, then accepted before Jan 28th. I still have no DDD and many others who filed early, accepted early (these are the assumed test batch but there’s no way to know forsure if you were a tester or not) and did not get a DDD!

Some of the people with DDD 2/22 filed ~2/1~ which wouldn’t be considered a testing batch once the IRS opens and they’re accepted. Again, there is no way to know who was a tester, it doesn’t tell you if you are…but after watching every deposit post for over an hour last night I saw who got deposits and it was not just the early filers.

The only people who have received DDD that claimed credits are those that where part of a test batch its just about luck it does not matter when you filed or when you were accepted. They randomly chose individuals to partake in the test phase.

Listen don’t freak out your good I just got off the phone with Irs that said the wmr site isn’t showing it but your taxes are done they have already been approved but your refund is froze until the 27 th of feb and then it will be sent to your bank ! I called the financial center my tax preparer used.. They claim the IRS has indeed informed them of my refund being approved… On wmr it says my refund is being processed… I’m thinking we will get our refunds as usual but we just didn’t update on wmr… So of you have no additional messages or codes you should be fine.

I filed 1/31/19 with Turbo tax. I was accepted 1/31/19. I did receive the path message, but updated to “We have received your tax return and it is being processed.” Turbo tax shows estimated DDD of 2/21/19. I am unable to access my transcript due to the system not recognizing my phone number, so now I am waiting for a code. I do have child tax credit for 1 child, and school tax credit. I normally get my refund on Feb 21st or 22nd,s o I am hoping that I get it by then. The 21st makes my 21 days. My WMR hasn’t updated since after the path message. I am not sure if I am daily or weekly since I am unable to look at my transcript :( I am just getting over cancer, and I have been out of work due to being sick, so this money will help me get caught back up. I have filed early the last three years with the child credits. Each year, I have gotten my refund on 2/22. I always take a week off of work starting the 23rd as a reward to myself for busting my ass thru the year. I was many of those who updated on Friday/Saturday to “we have received your refund and it is being processed” yet did NOT update to a DDD shortly after. I honestly cannot remember when WMR did update for me last year to give a DDD but I did receive my refund before it had updated to “Issued”. I still have a glimmer of hope that I might update on Tues/Wed with a DDD for the 22nd or I might just still get the refund without it updating. Either way, a week delay will not ruin my plans for my week off, I just really hate touching my savings. I can’t tell you if I am a daily or a weekly because I cannot view my transcripts online.

In response to your post, first let me say I do not post on hear just read for information. Let me give you a run down about filing early. I was a victim of identity theft back in 2009 someone stole my information and filed a return. It took me almost 2 years to get my refund. Because of this this the IRS gives me an Identity pin every year. This is the first and only year I field early which was on 1/25/19 just a few days before they opened.

So you tell me how can someone that has already been a victim that has a IRS generated identity pin be pulled for stealing someone identity?

I have been reading this forum all morning because I was bored and what I wonder is how did all of you guys file before having your W2? And why would you file before January 28th? Now I know a lot of people are going to say something about a test batch or whatever but come on really. No wonder 95% of you haven’t received any DDD yet. Don’t you know they look at those for identity theft because people who want to steal someone’s info and money tries to beat the real person filing. I filed last week and probably will get my refund before a lot of yall. And also. Why use turbo tax. They charge to file. You can file for free elsewhere. Next year think about all the trouble you had this time and possibly last time and try something different. If this is your 1st time this has happened then let it be a lesson and do something else next time.

I filed on January 28th and I knew about the child tax and other stuff, On the 15th of February 2019 on WMR said, “Still being processed’ Now the next day (February 16th 2019) it says, “we have received your tax return and it is being processed.” A date will be available later” or something like that.. your filing for last year’s pay period so what year was that?wmr isn’t going to even update for some by the time you get your DD. I’ve had it two years in a row that way. for alot there is a mass update after the holiday generally. you don’t need wmr to tell you whether or not your refund is coming. it usually just hits your bank after the holiday weekend to the following week. the dates they’ve been providing are pretty accurate which is the 27th and most will have their by then

I filed with Liberty Tax (never again) on 01/12 accepted on 01/14 received path on 01/24 and was able to pull m y transcripts on 01/30. My status updated to being processed on 02/16 still no ddd and no change to transcripts. cycle code is 20190405 and processing date of 02/11/2019. I was able to check my transcript back on Friday afternoon. I had a cycle code of 20190405 & processing date of 2-11-19 but had no 846. The wmr tool updated at 2am Sunday morning from the path message (had both eitc & actc) to ‘we have received your return and it’s being processed’ and no bars or ddd. It says the same thing when I call the hotline #. I can’t check my transcript since 330am Saturday because it says it’s disabled my account and to try to re register in 24hrs. It’s now 122pm on Sunday more than 24hrs later & still can’t get logged on or re register so I can check my transcript for the 846 tax code & a ddd. I’m getting annoyed & concerned because I filed on the 01/19/19, Turbo tax says received & accepted on 01/22/19 but people who filed with eitc/actc after me already have ddd & the wmr has updated with bars & a ddd as well. I need to know when my ddd is because 21days will be tomorrow from the 28th when the irs officially started accepting returns. Am I going to have a ddd by Friday 2/22/19 like everyone else is? It’s so friggin frustrating, I can honestly say I am not ever filing again early like this since it seems to cause nothing but delays & problems!

So to those who aren’t sure: you can access transcripts of your returns online or by mail. Go here: https://www.irs.gov/individuals/get-transcript

See if you can get yours online. This will depend on whether you’re able to register. They will ask for an account number for some form of loan you have (auto, mortgage, CC, no debit card). And if you don’t have one you cannot get transcript online.

Once you register and login choose whatever reason you are requesting transcript – doesn’t really matter – and the one you wanna look at is Account Transcript for 2018. Your tax code of (hopefully) 846 and a direct deposit date should be at the bottom of this document

I did some digging in last year forums, everyone seemed to update to the processing message last year on the 16 and the got DDD on the 17th the only thing is was that was on a Friday and Saturday now the 17th is on a Sunday but hey you never know we could still update I have faith

It looks like there’s some confusion around two different WMR readings that look very similar. The operative word is “Still.” Still = uh oh.

The one that says “We have received your tax return and it is being processed” is generally assumed to be good.

But there’s another one that says “Your return is still being processed. A refund date will be provided when available.” That one is sometimes not so good.

You want to register for online transcript. It’ll ask for an account number for some sort of loan you have – if you don’t have one you cannot get the transcript.

Choose whatever reason you feel like for requesting and then the one you want is Account Transcript for 2018. Codes and dates are at the bottom. 846 with a deposit date means your good to go your refund is coming

We went through a similar situation last year and people kept telling us, “You won’t see anything until after the 27th.” Our refund rolled in on the 21st. WMR didn’t even update and show a DDD until after we already had it in our bank account. Our taxes were very simple this year, so simple we didn’t have to pay any fees. I suspect that we will get them around the same time this year, we don’t have any demanding bills that are due like we did last year.

Don’t freak out guys, remember last year how good it felt when you got the DDD? I told myself last year that I wouldn’t freak out this year like I did last year.

Normally update on Friday nights with information on Saturday mornings. Wage and Income transcript has gone completely blank after previously being processed while I rested on the PATH message for the past 3 weeks. I would imagine that processing would take place this week and refunds will be released the week after. Last year taxes were accepted on 02/04/18 with a refund date of 02/28/18, so I am a little surprised that filing a week earlier has me still waiting around the same time.

Just checked the IRS site and it says that there will not be an update on DDD for most PATH filers until February 23rd and the earliest refund date is February 27th. I would use these dates as your guiding lights, and if you don’t see anything move on these dates call and raise hell through a Tax Advocate.

Out of curiosity does yours say “we have received you refund it is being processed”. Or does it say that with an additional statement of ” a refund date will be provided when available”.

I’m not sure but I read in another of these forums that if you have the additional statement then the IRS cannot guarantee the 21 days they say most are done by. In the other forum the guy said he had the additional statement last year and had to I’d verify. Again this is all just word of mouth. But I wondered if yours had the additional statement and that’s why you don’t have the 846 code.

Filed 1/31 accpeted 2/1 had path message since then. Nownits updated to my return had been recieved and is processing. I cant get transcripts because i don’t habe a credit card or home loan shit. Os there any other way to see my codes online? Or any expection when i should recieve a DDD?

Updated from Path to processing return, checked transcript no 846 code, now I cant log in to check again. It’s not sending any codes.

The system isn’t recognizing my credit cards, car loan, or student loan so I guess I have to try getting my transcripts in 24 hours 😒

Check your transcripts I just checked mine and got the 846 code of 2/22/19 I’m a Pather too

Went from PATH to being processed, transcript does not have 846 code! So no, not everyone is getting the DD just because PATH changed. Seeing something different is fun…not.

@Andrew ditto.. Most do have 846 but I have seen a couple a code 570 which is a hold… Ugh wish i could view mine

Everyone that I’ve seen with this new generic message who has checked transcripts has said they have the 846 with a DD of 2/22. So hopefully us people that can’t check transcripts online have the same thing.

Mine was updated the same tonight. I filed 2/4 and was at one bar until today about 1:00am PST then changed to PATH.. now it’s 11:00pm PST with the same message as OP. No bars and still processing.

PATHER..filed 1/29 just checked WMR,.. Path message disappeared. Now stating, we received your tax return, it is being processed. My refund amount and filing status has re-appeared. Praying in Jesus name…DD is on its way in my/our accounts sooooooon!

Yep, I was really excited and happen to be up after midnight and checked and I have the same exact thing I submitted my refund very early before they started actually accepting them and was accepted before they started actually accepting them and had been on path after losing my bars for several weeks but now I have the same message you tell I was really hoping for a direct deposit

Yea wmr is acting stupid I got the we have received your refund and tried to log in again about 20 mins and it said the is an error retrieving your information maybe update in the morning?the system might be getting ready.

I just checked mine I had the path and then it changed its on 1:28 am florida time it shoud be all updates by 6am fingers crossed and good luck…post any changes on here

From what I’ve read on other sites WMR isn’t completely done until around 6am. I read that we should see a DDD by Tuesday (if we don’t see one by 6am Saturday) for a date of 2/21 or 2/22. The past two years on PATH I’ve gotten my DDD on Saturday and it hits my bank account on Thursday.
