Wow… we just moved to Vegas, you might have to share your tips and tricks and best places to go. I won’t big on scratcher in 2019 in California I’m talking in the millions and we didn’t get audited :) I obviously could only write off the amount I lost playing the scratchers and also had big tax obligation but no audit. As long as there is a paper trail I wouldn’t worry

Curious to see if TT actually gives me the refund “5 days early”. Paid the $25 just as an experiment, knowing full well I’ll probably update late Feb like always. Cycle code 0405, EIC, CTC. You will have to see if the IRS lets it slip through and processes it, if they do once you receive your refund you can follow these steps to get the correct w2 and amend. *If* it doesn’t process and falls into wage review, you’ll likely need to do those steps and amend as soon as you know its been held up.

Left a 7000 w2 off my taxes on accident. Employer filled it out wrong anyway and put tax paid on amount in box one instead of gross amount because I filed exempt for part of the year. So instead of putting total wages they only put what I was taxed on, leaving out 5000 of income I made and they swear it’s right but it’s not. Box 1 3 and 5 always match unless you have pretax deductions which I don’t. I don’t know what to do. Will the irs reject the missing w2 or will they refund me and then let me amend? And what about when they see the incorrect amount in box 1?

Turbo tax gives an estimate based on 21 days, it’s not accurate. You will *not* get your refund before the 15th if you have ACTC/EIC even when using this since you can’t get a date until after 02/15. . Once the IRS gives you a deposit date, TT will issue the money to you immediately without waiting on the funds to actually arrive. The first update for people held by path won’t be until 02/18 for dailies, and 02/21 for weeklies at the earliest.

Since TT “loans” you the money for 5 days it’s very possible that you would get your cash from TT on the 11th and your refund the 15th.

Okay so I filed taxes on Sunday morning and was accepted today. I paid the $25 to get my refund five days early through TurboTax, it must be something different they’re doing this year.

However, I’m reading that due to the PATH Act, there is no way I can get my refund before 2/15. I claimed the ACTC. TurboTax tells me that I should expect my refund on 2/11.

Just wondering when to actually expect this at this point? Anyone have any idea what might happen?

The IRS has yet to announce when it will start accepting tax returns, but we anticipate it will be on January 27th. Our refund chart will help you know when to expect your tax refund based on that opening date. We will update it if they announce that they are opening sooner.

Spoke to rep and was advised i was adjusted on 10/1 and to allow 4-6 weeks. She said i should see updates Friday so we will see, but i did check my IRS online and the account balance now says we are adjusting your account and this takes about 2 weeks. So i hope its two weeks and not 4-6

Amended my 6/18 return to add 2-1099 and increase gambling debt which was higher then I first put in. Got two 570 which I knew the 1099 I add that is what they were for 570 6/10 and 570 7/15. I am in the same boat and want to end their services, as they have not returned my phone calls, missed phone appts, and have delayed my refund even further asking for information I have already sent the IRS etc. But I can’t even talk to the IRS now because they will no longer discuss my case if I am using TAS services. I filed backed in early February through H&R Block. Found out someone filed using my social security number. So I had to verify my identity which I did February 20th. They told me I had to wait 9 weeks after i verified to get my refund. I had to mail it in as well and I would call and they kept giving me the run around saying they didn’t have it. So after a couple months I reached out to my congressman back in March and got a letter in April saying I have someone working on my case. They appointed me a tax advocate and I have yet to hear from her. I have called and left messages several times. This is August and I have yet to hear anything.

507 could indicate a potential hold or review, often related to identity verification issues, and 570 If you see code 570, that means that there is a delay in processing your return. There is an mass update for 13-15, thinking we should update the 19th.

Yes, I’ve been waiting 6 weeks. I was told when putting that code it is a expedited process for the amendment. As normal processing time is 16wks.
