I owe back taxes, However; I called the accounting department today and was told by two separate employees that this will not delay my refund.
I am only able to order 1 transcript for 2015 tax year.
Last year I was able to go online and view my transcript and it seems like they took that ability away from me this year. However; IRS uses a cycle chart with your cycle number. I am a cycle number 05. Please look at the following link it gives a lot of useful information.

Called the number and the ext 362 Was only on the phone for 17 mins (that’s a plus). All the lady told me was that it is still being processed and didn’t see anything wrong. But I still needed to wait the processing time of 21 days. I can’t help but still be concerned. My husband filed his the same day I did and has a DDD of 2/3.

Im seeing a trend here.

The thread for all of us accepted on 1/19 is one of the longest, 90% of us have not moved past the first bar, and most of the websites used were the same. Also Taxslayer and turbo tax sent an email saying the irs would be accepting returns on 1/19 which I’m assuming caused tons of traffic on their sites. I see a major coincidence, but its likely not. I think this was probably the day that had the MOST returns submitted and thats what is delaying everyone.

I got mine within 7-10 business days for the past 3 years always using taxslayer. tomorrow would mark my 10th business day and no ddd. Is the estimated 21 days business or actual days? Also the IRS website and state website have a topic about a new law stating that returns wont be process until both the employer and the employee have submitted the proper paper work. how do you know if your employer did their part?

Passed the ID verify! Be prepared for some multiple choice questions. Asked what year was my house built? Really? D-none of the above is an option for all questions. After the first 5 questions they jump into questions regarding your previous years return (at least for me they did). Asked questions about stock that i sold, what brokerage and a name of one of the stocks listed. Pretty intense stuff.

He released the hold on my account. I asked why and how this happened. His response “The system randomly pulls accounts for review along with pulling ALL victims of identity theft for review.”. Early last year I was a victim of identity theft and put a 12 month freeze on my credit information from all 3 credit bureaus. Meaning if my credit was pulled for anything it would get denied immediately and I would get a letter in the mail. I have a strong suspicion this is what caused my 9001 ref number.

Have your previous year return and current year return handy just in case.

If you took the time to read my whole post (which i will just assume you did) then you noticed his I put ” i know it hasn’t been that long, but its never taken me this long to receive an IRS approval” and i believe my actual questions were at the end of my post. Thank you, so telling people “you will be waiting awhile” is in fact not an fact considering im pretty sure you do not work for the IRS and couldn’t possibly know what’s going on or how long an individual wilk have to wait. I have seen posts from people who filed after me with DDD dates.. So troll along… Thanks and have blessed day.

I talked to a Netspend rep who said that if the card has not arrived before the deposit, the deposit will be pending and not post to the account until the card is activated. If you start seeing a lot of people post that their refunds are available, you may want to call Netspend and ask if there is a pending deposit on your account as you may not get a mobile alert. the card should arrive in 7-10 days not including weekends. Hope this helps!

So I just got off the phone with someone, told him that I filed on the 13th and that I was accepted on the 14th and that I still dont have a DDD but theres been people who were accepted the same day as me who has their DDD. He told me that it may have said the irs accepted my federal on the 14th but it actually accepted it on the 19th and that I should get my money between the 11th (next thursday) and that following Monday. I ended up asking him about people who already have a DDD that filed the same time and got accepted as me and what the difference is between me and them and he was at a loss for words.

So idk what to think right now. Thought Id have my refund this week and now idk if Im getting them thks week or the week after or the week aftet and so on. Can someone give me some advice or let me know something?

We got accepted on 1/14 and kept seeing all of the websites talk about transcripts so we tried and ordered ours on Friday successfully. However, we woke up Saturday to your refund is being reviewed tax topic 151. He called the IRS this morning and she said she didn’t see anything about his return or a letter. I had used a Walmart MoneyCard (greendot) in the past and I received my refund late night/early morning (I believe around 4am) on the expected DDD. The do not put holds on any ACH transaction.

The myth about ordering transcripts may be true. Friday I was able to order both transcripts and Saturday morning I had a DDD for 2/3. It turns out, my experience with the PIN hasn’t been too bad.

@Jason I wouldn’t worry about it too much actually. Like I stated on another thread, I filed on the 7th and got accepted on the 11th. I had one bar for maybe 4 days and they NEVER came back. And then, on 1/30 at around 5 am, I had two bars, showing that I was approved for my refund with a DDD of 2/3. On the 29th, I was able to order both my account and return transcript. Like I said…you should be fine. As long as that 152 is still there, you’re fine. Not everyone is going to have bars.

Just to let some of you know…I only a bar for about 1 week if that..and then they disappeared completely. I don’t know what happened, or if I was under review. All I know is that they didn’t return until 5am on 1/30 stating that I had my refund approved. I always had my topic 152..so I wouldn’t stress too much about it. I also heard that if your bars disappear, that your DDD is coming very soon.

I have checked the Department of Revenue website, along with with calling the 800 number, and I just get the generic processing message.

If your bars disappeared, you’ll have a DDD given in the motning. That’s what happened to me. My DDD is 2/3. I filed on 1/8 got an update 1/29. Felt like it took forever but 10 days is average for me, deposit in 14.

First rep “the process is updating and no issues on this end. give it time and keep checking wmr.” Second rep “Sir, you must allow 21 days to pass from acceptance before i can check your account.”. Third rep “let me look into your account (asks ssn and other basic info) mmmhmmm…..mmmhmmmm….mmmhmmm, sir do you have a pen ready? please call 800-830-5084 and have your current return handy. theyll be asking information to verify your identity for this account.”. Seriously! Where was that answer this morning at 9am!

@Nikki I am expecting my DD late tonight or early 2/2 as I have a AMEX Serve card that makes DD available up to 2 days early as long as the company send the information of the DD ahead of time. For example I work for the federal government. My official payday is Monday, the federal government DD on Friday but I get my paycheck Wednesday night. If you have a bank or prepaid debit card that provides DD early then you should see your money by the end of the day, today.

I got divorced last year and ross is my first year in 3 years filing HOH again and 2 kids. My return is a lot for me so I really need this money. Last year my son filed first, a day later my ex filed and I filed a few days after him. My ex got his refund back first and he had an offset. My son had a really simple return with a refund of a couple hundred dollar refund and waited longer than my ex did. Even though I filed my return a day or two later my refund came a week or more later than theirs. I also remember getting worried because my bars disappeared. I knew my ex owed the irs some back taxes so I was worried that they were taking money from my refund. They didn’t and the day after my bars disappeared I received my direct deposit date. I’m not saying this is always the case, but it doesn’t always mean your under review. More than likely it just means something is changing in the status of your return good or bad.

Last year I stressed about my refund all day up until the money was in my account. This year I am trying to just relax. It’s easier said than done I know. I have 3 small children that I care for on my own and an ex that would love to claim them on his taxes. However, doesn’t feel the need to help us financially throughout the year!!

I made up my mind after stressing last year to not depend on my tax refund. I got back 8k last year and used it to get back on my feet. This year I still need the money, but my bills are paid and we have everything we need. It’s such a good feeling. I can use some of this years refund to do something fun for my kids!

Ugh, it makes me nervous waiting this long but there should be no reason for delay. We filed the exact same as last year (she had a new job this year but mine was the same as last year) and last year everything went smooth with no problems. So there should be no problems this year considering nothing has really changed.
I guess they are just taking their sweet time processing our Returns and we will see some movement (HOPEFULLY) this week! I am a pretty patient person for the most part, but they are testing me. Lol. If the 9th comes and goes with nothing, then I am going to raise hell!! So much for that whole “first in, first out” concept that they go by huh?

Got my ddd on The 29 for2/3 i filed on the 7th was accepted on the 11th. . I always go by my guide of law or attraction i sit and i a send my energy out into tje universe, that i would get mine during the first cycle and i did.. if u continue to think that osnt never gonna come ur gonna prolong the wait. Be positive send positive enery and u will attract it to come to u when u want it .. i knew that it wasnt honna be processed till after the 19th no matter how early i filed. .. u need to just accept the reality of things instead ogd trying to beat the odds.. i have been doing taxes for a long time now. You know if ur taxes are ok or u should have to worry.. so no need to worry send that positive instead of negative enery in ur flow of finaces .. you will get it when u want it.. happy taxing and dont every spend ur money before u know all that will do is stress u out..

I’m still in limbo.. No bars ( They disappeared on Saturday Night) no DDD.. This is really starting to suck!! I can’t order my refund transcript only my account transcript. I was ‘accepted’ on the 13th… This is getting ridiculous! At least provide us info as to what the heck is going on and why the delay..
