Hi Bart,

I need some help. I filed my return on 1/20/15 and received an email stating it was accepted on 1/21/15. I originally had accepted on WMR but it later updated to Processing w/ the 21 day message and tax topic 152. Eventually the bars went away. I can view all 4 transcripts. I have a 570 & 971 code on my transcripts. I received a CP05 letter on Saturday stating I was under review but no information was needed. It said it could take until 4/9/15 to be resolved. Does it normally take that long? Is there anything I can do on my end?

I got my deposit today, I had a ddd of 2/19. I paid my fees myself Bc last year I went through that sbbt and they did my deposit on the actual ddd so I didn’t receive my refund in my bank account until the next business day.

Just got off the phone with the Irs. The holdup on my return for 2014 is I didn’t file my 2013 return. Was going through a divorce at the time thought she filed it blah blah blah. My question is once I send in my 2013 how long will it take for me to get my 2014? Person on phone said my full amount was processed but on hold waiting for 13 return. He also mentioned it would go faster if my return for 13 was filed electronically.

When should I expect 14 to be released from the day I send in my 13 and do you know where online i could prepare and send 13 electronically?

I’ve heard of people just repeatedly mashing the * or # and it connecting to a person that will connect you to any department.

I know from automated experience that to go to a human usually you can push zero, star or pound to get a human. *usually*. Being the key word.

I’m too scared to try and call though, so I don’t have first hand experience.

I called today and they told me my return was fine and that they dont see any letters. That its look ok but that am going to have to wait 6_8 weeks processing time. Code 9001 is crap, its just a way of delaying the tax refunds!

Thank you for the info! Follow up questions – Do they have to fully accept and approve my 2011 return before releasing my 2014, even if it’s showing I’m due a refund instead of owing? Is there a higher chance of audits/problems when sending in a prior year tax return.

So you could pull yourself up on WMR but they hadn’t even received your return? So basically you are starting over like they just got it? That’s nuts if so. What about transcripts? Were they all n/a with no 2014 or did you have 2014 for the bottom 2 account and wage and n/a for the top 2? By any chance?

I have the 2 on bottom but all the account one has on it is an AS Date of March 02. Everything else is 000 no return filed. Which they say means it’s in the process of being processed.

I hope now that they have you, they push you through super fast. How disappointing!

Edited to ask: did you get the you’ve been accepted email? I got the accepted email 20 mins after submitting but still no approval. Then I find out they didn’t actually accept me for 5 days after. So confusing!

Today was my 22nd day i called in and actually turbo tax never transmitted my tax return they never got it!
i had been at 1 bar for 2 weeks and then the message” your refund is being processed a date will be added etc” for a week.

The transcript page is what told me, I’ve seen quite a few that this same thing happened to. File one day, accepted same day only to find out it wasn’t accepted until 4 or 5 days later.

When I tried to get into my transcripts it told me after I made the login that my log in was wrong. I looked at the email and instead of Anita Taconthey had it as Antia Taco with the t and i transposed. I use auto fill so I KNOW it was put in right.

chatami i answered before no the other wages will no affect your return call the id verify department and verify your information if you have not already and you have to wait

jason the health care delays returns about a week so you have to be a little more patient u are still processing

shafeqah it isnt that simple and ur looking at about 45-60 days wait… once you get the letter you need to provide what ever they want they have to verify that then approve the return to be reprocessed….

cashtro you went back into processing and will have an update in about a week….. the freeze was lifted so ur just processing….and that last transcript wont update till about june so u will be fine… give it a little more time

Hi Bart I spoke with an irs rep today and she stated my 1121 code is due to an identity verification. She provided me a number for the wage hoTline so I was confused. I had received a w2 from a small settlement for 400 that I forgot about after I had filed my return. I was told by a rep and my tax preparer that the irs does not receive that information for about a month or so and shouldn’t hold up my return. That I should be able to file and amended return afterwards. I wanted to know if you think that would effect my return or its probably the I’d issue

Had to file by mail (just like the last 4 years) d/t someone claiming my dependent. NORMALLY, in my case, you would send in a paper return, wait for irs to send back a letter explaining what they need from you to prove I am the one who can legally claim the dependent. Last year, I knew what would be needed so I attached it to the return and got my money within 3 weeks! This year, federal shows nothing. State says received being processed. I am having it direct deposited. How long can I expect to wait for my state return?

896 or 846? 896 is the healthcare penalty, 846 is the refund issued. The 4th IRS day of the week is Thursday and they’re In cycle 6 now. So you’d see dd on Thursday.

I filed 2/06 still no update. Same info from last year. I found out by the AS date on my transcripts that they didn’t actually accept me til the 11th! Grrr.

I filed and was accepted on 2/3. At this point I still only have one bar and tax code 152 on the wmr. When I check my transcripts they all say n/a except the last one which says no return. I did have healthcare throught the market place on my wife and kids. And I have self employment stuff on my return. At what point should I start to worry that nothing is changing. I efiled with turbotax on January 30th accepted January 31st. I had the bar saying accepted until yesterday. Today the bars disappeared as well–this is making me nervous. I had to do the form for marketplace insurance–I wonder if many of us getting this had that and it is holding things up or something–would love to know if anyone with missing bars gets a direct deposit!

Had H&R Block do my taxes. Efile got rejected by IRS due to someone else has apparently used my SSN on their taxes as a dependent. I’m 35 and have claimed and done my own taxes for 18 year’s so who knows. Anyhow, I have to mail it in, meaning I had to pay HR Block their fees ($356) up front. I just looked over the copies they gave me to mail in and it still has their routing and account number on it for the direct deposit. My question is this, since I paid fees up front, will my refund still have to go through HR Block or do I need to get them to change that to my info? Thanks in advance!

Head of household. 1 Dependent. I have a schedule C. My return was pulled for verification to which I completed. Return still shows processing.

I am very frustrated. Normally doesn’t take this long to complete a return and when I try to do a transcript it doesn’t show up. Which probably means that they haven’t even tried to process it yet.

He said there is nothing wrong with my account but they need to do further review so I should be getting something in the mail sometime this week to fill out and return to the irs. I don’t know what my transcripts say they quit letting me log in. SBBT can’t find any information on me. I used HRB. Does anybody know if they go through SBBT? This site says it can take 3-5 days once HRB receives it, but I hope that’s not accurate.

Ok guys, I’m gonna try to explain the daily verses weekly cycle to the best of my ability.All of this comes directly from the IRS manual. Daily accounts post within 4 days, weekly accounts post within 7. Most taxpayers will fall into the daily “accelerated” processing.
