We finally got our dd date. I was finally approved and wmr updated over night on Friday the 29th. I got the update saturday morning and a dd date of 2/3. I dont know why it took so long when I filed on the 9th and was accepted on the 11th.

Filed 1/21 accepted same day. Still no DDD. Able to order account transcript since Friday, but no refund transcript. I had to call earlier because I accidentally sent my refund to a closed account. At first, they told me they cannot cancel direct deposit and I told the rep their website stated otherwise. She checked into it and canceled it but stated it can take 10 days for the request. I’m hoping it takes because if it gets sent to the bank and rejected I will be waiting 8 – 10 weeks for a paper check. So I went from thinking I’ll have my refund this week to possibly not getting it for 2 more months. :(

That sbbt site don’t open till 9-10 so like east coast 12 ish of course it’s not in your bank yet sillies. I hope you all learned a lesson not to file early. Last year took forever to get my refund I filed like the 10th last year.
To the people who filed the 23 Rd and thinks magic happens wait at least a week and half then start complaining.
You got to be kidding me last year they made up a code for their mess up the 1121 or whatever code now it’s a 9001 code.. Crazy computers . GL all :) ??

You can start an amended return on TaxAct but you have to print it out and mail it in. You can not Efile a 1040x

I use the walmart money card once and that was last year the IRS process to my return in one week as usual and then I got a email from walmart money card saying I had to validate my identity which I faxed over a copy of my drivers license and social security card I called them Later that afternoon and they told me it would take 4 to 6 weeks to validate my identity I will never use walmart money card again

@Elisa how did you get them to pull up your account? I called this morning and the woman said there is nothing they can do to access the accounts until 21 days after 1/19!! I was accepted 1/11, had one bar up until Saturday morning and then poof they’re gone and now says processing blah blah blah… I just need to know if a letter was sent because I accidentally put my residential town instead of my mailing town on my return (same address just a different town) and I will not get anything they send.

If you do receive the verify identity letter you might want to switch over to the forum of idverify process on this same website.. Scary all the people there said they didn’t receive their refund til about two months later….. (exhale) i just hope not.

Fred is correct, I am sorry to say. It really is a terrible thing, but I wouldn’t mind it as much if there was a system in effect that worked better (like actually not continuing to punish the innocent who need their refund year after year and maybe flagging and actually punishing the other party. I think it is harder to do when dealing with a situation like mine–see the looong post below, my first one and sorry there is a double, likely because threads were merged. (Thank you to whoever merged them, though)!!

If anyone with this has status updated or speaks to anyone, please update, I will be following this thread for information, since IRS can’t really provide any yet. Good luck!

Hello all. I’ve been following this thread for a couple weeks now and wanted to share my experience so far. I filed with TT on 1/11 and was accepted on 1/12. I finally received a DDD for 2/3 the day after I was able to ask for my transcripts throught the irs site. I am in Ohio. Hoping to get my state soon also. I was accepted for state on 1/26. How long does it usually take to get your state back after accepted?

I know there are several processing centers across the country I think it all depends on which one got yours and where they are in their processing. That’s why some who filed later than is have one and some who filed before us still don’t either. It’s basically just luck of the draw.

well here we go.. Hopefully we get our return transcripts either today or tomorrow. If not, then a 2/5 DDD is out of the question. Best-case scenario in that situation becomes a 2/10 DDD.

Just got off the phone with the IRS.. Surprisingly the lady was very nice and polite.. I am one of those who has the Tax Topic 152 code with reference 9001.. She said she saw nothing wrong with my taxes and there was no pending letters to send out so it could just go away as the refund is processing.. If it doesn’t I will receive a letter telling me to verify my identity.. she gave me a phone number 1800-830-5084 or http://www.idverify.irs.gov.. and thats the fastest way to verify that its really me.. she gave me the information “just in case” but my account at the time of the call, a couple minutes ago, was error free and just still processing… If you do have to verify your identity it can be done instantly at the number above or website, so at least you don’t have to mail anything back in.. But in the next couple days, either the status will change or you will receive that tax payer protection paperwork to verify your identity..

I dont think it really matters the amount one gets. I am usually at 8k every year never had a problem. Last year I got my return in the bank before WMR updated….I filed 1/18 accepted 1/19 still one bar.

For everyone with a DDD of 2/03 and their funds have to go to SBTPG. They are located on the west coast. So technically it is only 4:30am there. Give it time and you will start seeing movement. I’m in Ohio and for the last 6 years I have used TT and they use SBTPG. I always saw an update on my account with them in the afternoon (my time)..

But if you didn’t pay your tax fees up front the tax preparer has to release the funds as well to THEIR bank so they can get their fees… then to your bank. The faster turnaround I’d when you pay your fees upfront and use a prepaid card like you mentioned

No that’s not what it means….THE IRS typically releases funds up to 4 days before the DDD. They do so to compensate for bank holds transient time if your fees are taken out etc… Prepaid cards advertise this because they don’t hold the funds as a typical bank does, they at released immediately
