Its about a week wait for the deposit after “stage 2”
NCDOR can go kick rocks.
Just received the NC refund on my NetSpend card. Glad I’m all done for this year…
Doesn’t actually say Stage 3. It says “Your refund has been issued to the bank account provided on your return and should be processed within 10 days. Please contact your bank for a record of the deposit.”
Either way I still haven’t seen a NetSpend deposit yet and the status updated either last Thursday or Friday.
I think they update the status before they actually release the funds.
I filed my Fed and State on 1/24. Fed accepted the same day, NC accepted almost a week after.
Fed refund received on 2/16
NC status just updated to stage 3 (refund sent to bank) Friday morning after more than a month after filing.
How long do they actually take? I got my refund on my Netspend card the same day as my 846 code on my transcript.
Why is NC so painfully @#/%! Slow year after year.?
About time for yall, what took so long? Jeesh…
Yoooo!! 846 Code on the transcript this morning and deposit on the Netspend card today. The Alphabet Boys on they job this year, they ain’t bullshittin’
This was actually faster than last year.

846 Refund issued 02-22-2018
If you have an offset pending the TT203 message will appear when the second bar appears. (After approval)
Twice in a row…
Damn we on point!!!
150 Tax return filed
766 Credit to your account
806 W-2 or 1099 withholdingThose are not the “Uh-oh” codes, so you should be good for now
@AmberCC14 Hopefully it wasnt a large amount, either way the Alphabet Boys will catch the error, make the adjustment and send you a notice. The thing is you dont know when its coming, it could be this year next year or 2 years from now. You’ll owe the additional tax on the unreported amount plus whatever late fees and interest they decide to tack on to it. Also, if there is a big diff between the numbers you could possibly wind up owing your state some more bread too.
Remember shit rolls down hill…Send in a 1040X with the correct numbers.

Where are you getting your MIS-information? The PATH act applies to those who claim the EITC or the ACTC or both. It’s either or but it doesn’t have to be both. I claim the EITC not the ACTC and my wife and I still fall under the PATH act even tho our EITC is only $88.
As far as the refunds go…Approvals/releases for PATHERS will start on or after 2/15 and DD’s will start on or after the 20th. Last year my refund was deposited to my Netspend card the evening of the 20th before the WMR ever moved off the second bar.
That “27th” date is a default date the IRS gives them to stop people from tying up the phone lines with a ton of stupid questions.
Have patience, Stop trippin and wait.
I think whoever has the PATH message will have to wait until after Feb 15 to see some kinda update. Its just a waiting game at this point.
Just got my activation code in the mail today so I was able to log in and pull my account transcript.
So can one of you transcript experts please explain what I’m seeing so far?
Processing Date Feb 19, 2018
Cycle: 20180505
Codes: 150, 806, 766, 768FREEDOM EDITION IS THE ONE TO CHECK FOR, NOT THE FREE EDITION.
IF NOT, JUST FIND A COPY OF TT ONLINE COME DECEMBER.
I WILL NEVER AGAIN PAY TO FILE A TAX RETURN. BET THAT!!
Bars gone, replaced by PATH message just now.
Filed and accepted on 1/24 with TurboTax
EIC/CTC
As of right now WMR still showing one bar.
Still playing the waiting game…
I as going by the NCDOR website which said the 29th.
EITHER WAY I JUST GOT AN EMAIL FROM TT.
NC STATE RETURN HAS BEEN ACCEPTED.
NOW THE WAIT BEGINS…
I know NC is slow, i didnt get my last year refund until sometime in march
I used Turbotax to file this year’s state/fed return. Fed was filed an accepted on 1/24. State was filed at the same time however, Turbotax is still showing a “pending” status for the state return.
Anyone else still showing a pending status for your NC state return??
