Has anyone had an issue where they paid for insurance all year through their employer and that insurance paid all medical bills and tax return is being rejected due to supposedly having marketplace insurance and being told half of your taxes will be taken to cover the expense of it?
There sees to be something, we don’t know what, where people are getting their advances immediately (minutes) upon being accepted. Then others just sitting there no advance, We don’t know what the common thing is, but we are watching.
@EM: We have seen many people get it with just acceptance. They told you need approved? At that point, you could just wait for your refund,

After redoing my taxes on calfile I was accepted the next day. Turbo tax must have a glitch keeping them from submitting the state taxes. Now just waiting for processing and DDD
No, regular CTC is not path. If you claimed ACTC or EITC, that’s path.
I filed my taxes and on received CTC does that make me a pather
I filed my taxes January 19th. Got accepted by federal on the 22nd and still haven’t been accepted by state . Not sure why usually I’m accepted the same day by both.
Filed TaxAct 1/19 accepted 1/22. Checked this morning on WMR and shows deposit date of 1/29
I’m hoping that since things don’t open up officially until Monday maybe that’s the delay for some of us.

Pending DD for 01/26, which my bank will release on 01/25.Filed direct with CalFile. Historically it usually takes 3 business days for it to hit my bank after they process and approve it, so thankfully no surprises this year.

I was accepted around 1:40pm today and no advance yet.
No emails saying I was or wasn’t approved either.

Got accepted at 2:48 pm est today and still no advance. Anyone else having issues?
It will be interesting to see how much gets cut out of the bill that has little to do with the ctc. Like many bills, different groups are trying to squeeze in unrelated funding, etc. while others balk at the expense.
I really think this bill will pass and I’m waiting impatiently.

I filed with TT on 1/19 and got rejected on 1/24 for not including my 1095-A from healthcare.gov even though I only was covered for 3 months last year.
Anyway, tracked that down, entered the info and refiled. Everything’s submitted now. Has anyone else had to refile and seen any drastic changes to getting accepted (like delays, etc.)

Also, as of today 1/24 it has not been passed as a law.

I have the same issue wirh my state tax. Turbo tax claimed to have submitted, CAFTB has no record of it. I redid my taxes through the Calfile after 3 days of phone calls. This is the 1st time I’ve had this issue but I have had it where no movement happens and I call in then they “push” it throug
@JOe Shmow I was able to use their check my refund yesterday but had the same issue as you this afternoon. I just logged into my CA FTB account and my refund is showing as processed with the amount showing.

Turbo Tax says still pending. Last year I had to verify my check stubs. Nothing has changed this year, do you think I’ll have to verify again?
(Federal was accepted 1/19)So all of a sudden CA refund can’t find my info. 916 number was no help they basically told me to pour sand.

We live in a small town, dad (my be of 10 years) has two kids 16, 20 I have a 10 year old. He has had custody since 2021. Mom is addict. Court ordered her to claim kids on taxes give him half. Dad draws disability so usually doesn’t file, I work, I file. Judge said it wasn’t fair to let me claim. I am main breadwinner I make 4x what he draws. She pays child support. She hasn’t given the children anything in years. Barley sees them.
This year I said, I was claiming them. The court hasn’t done anything about her flaunting the order, doesn’t seem likely to. I pay for everything for them. I do all the appointments. I have for 10 YEARS. She agreed, then went and claimed them anyway. Then sent me a horrible text calling names, threatening me, and more.
I have read laws and forums until I’m crosseyed. I have an appointment with a lawyer next week but any advice or information anyone can help me with ?And yes, dad is fully involved and supporting this.
Same. I filed yesterday with TT, and was accepted this afternoon around 12EST. No ACTC or anything this year, so yay, maybe it’ll be fast.

My MA return was accepted this morning.
I haven’t received a text or email that my return ahs been accepted, but WMR says it is being processed. Does that mean it’s accepted?
updated early this morning. was able to order return and account transcripts on 1/22, first attempt.
Once you are accepted, you can use our refund cycle chart to see when to expect your refund. It includes dates for those people accepted in test batches.
accepted today. I have 1 bar on wmr. EIC,CTC.etc. Filed 1/17. Now we wait and walk the long path. lol I guess I was in the test batch like some of you guys.
@monica Did you get an email that your return was accepted? If so, it was part of a test batch. Otherwise, it is sitting on hold until the IRS officially opens on 1/29 this year. You can estimate the date to expect your refund based on the acceptance date.

Finally got accepted around 7pm last night Filed with HRB 1/17 no path ctc only
Was accepted on 1/18, have been accepted. Tax topic 152
And so it begins…
State file 1/22, accepted 1/23. Hope it’s like last year and I get that refund in a week, and not like previous few years where it took a month or longer!

Tax Topic 152On my turbo tax web page, under my refund amount it says irs refund est 02/09/24, does that mean I may get it by Feb 9th?
