has anyone had any updates since yesterday on the status of their refund being that the wmr site was suppose to have this big update last night?
@pb “1242 is a “reserved” delay code. The IRS does not publicize the reason behind it. There are many possible reasons but the EIC seems to be a very common area. If you’ve claimed the EIC and there is anything questionable about the claim your refund will be delayed while the IRS investigates it.”
my wmr now has a reference number 1242. does anyone know what this means? it says to call and mention that code

Friday we were told our refund was done processing but is being held for review and this can still take until April >.< Talked to the tax advocate and he said he don't see anything different from the last few years he doesn't understand why we are being reviewed when even the income isn't that much different.

Still waiting. Status says the same thing with no Orange bar. Been like this since the 2/2. No letter or anything as of yet. I gave up on checking my status. Just makes me mad.
So I was hoping I would get mine early as well over this weekend but no luck. Hoping maybe I can get it at least a day early on Tuesday that way I can go shopping. My DDD is Wed 2/20.
requested my transcripts on 2/7 and still havent received them and now wmr says refund date when available

We didn’t qualify for any EIC and I had read some where on here that -that will hold up some returns. Not sure to the reasoning other then checking for fraud.

on 2/16 I received a DDD 2/21Please hang in there everyone. I know it’s easier said than done. Without trying to sound like a broken record, I waited 7 months for my refund last year, with little to no information being given by the IRS. So I know the wait is excrutiating and you begin to give up hope. I have a feeling we will see more good news this week for those still waiting. Prayers and good vibes for all of you.

he IRS developed and implemented identity theft indicator codes to centrally mark and track identity theft incidents. Each indicator is input on affected taxpayers’ accounts using Transaction Code 971 with any of six different action codes.[5] The IRS currently uses these identity theft indicators to gather IRS-wide identity theft data for reporting taxpayers affected and identity theft incidents. For example, the IRS inputs Transaction Code 971 with the following action codes:
· Action Code 501 – used when the taxpayer reported the identity theft. It is input after the IRS confirms a taxpayer is a victim of identity theft and resolves the case.
· Action Code 506 – used when the IRS identifies and confirms a taxpayer who is an identity theft victim.
· Action Code 522 – used when the IRS receives a taxpayer’s identifying documentation.[6]

This is bull crap honestly we all need to contact our news departments I’ve already emailed three we have todo this as our voice lets start today so by Tuesday they will get the damn point and start releasing these fake a@@ holds that they put on us for no damn reason I’m dead serious I’m ready to do a damn rally .

I filed 1/17 through tt and accepted on 1/24. I was finally able to order a return transcript on Friday then my 21 day message went to, (a refund date will be provided when available)

Ijust found out yesterday that my 2 co-workers who file got put inreview….its because wefilied early, system sucks…maybe should of had microsoft create it
No change for me this morning still have the Refund date will be provided when available. Ordered scripts last Thursday morning… ordered an account script yesterday to see what codes may be on it. Received letter 4464c dated Feb 1.. Filed Tax Act 1/20, Accepted 1/25, per IRS Accepted 1/28… Confirmed return Resequenced 1 to 2 cycles. Status changed from 21 day lingo to new refund date given when available jargon last week… Confirmed yesterday there is still hold on refund and return is finished processing but Exams department on Friday (day before yesterday) confirmed I am not in their department but return was NOT finished processing…I have been told to just sit back and wait.. conflicting info as usual … refund over $8k
A good news from someone under review – I WON A $25 scratch off lottery yesterday!!! But no movement on my DDD except the bars disappeared this. Morning and now I just have “a refund date will be provided, check back”. I’ve heard from some that this is a good sign & from others it means nothing???
Anyone getting this message? No bars and ordered both transcripts on Thursday.

The amnt of your refund should have nothing to do with any holds unless its very different then previous amnts. Just cuz it’s a large number won’t raise eyebrows if your income is large enough to justify it & its not a great deal more then prior refunds. I know a number of people w $20K – $35K refunds and they have ALL gotten them already (EXCEPT ME,!!!!)

just posting my timeline again:
1/28 – filed
1/28 – accepted 11 hrs later from filing
1/30 – around 10pm finally got a status on Where’s My Refund (WMR) with ‘Return Received’ (1 bar) & still processing
1/31 – ordered acct transcript but couldn’t order return transcript
2/6 – received acct transcript & 4464 c letter (dated 2/4) & has no code on it whatsoever. it had no action required. Where’s My Refund (WMR) still the same.
2/14 – wmr had no status bar but still the same msg w/return received.
2/16 – wmr still had no bar but msg changed to Your tax return is still being processed. A refund date will be provided when available. i ordered another acct transcript to see if i get any codes because my transcript had nothing on it…it was blank w/a processing date of 2/18th. i still can’t order the return transcript.I filed 2/6 n I recieved a 4664c letter dated on 2/8 I wouldnt say Im a early.filer Im just pissed I want my money
Filed and accepted 2/1 in the evening. Was finally able to order transcripts yesterday. Woke up this morning to a ddd of 2/21. Married filing joint, itemized deductions, 5 kids, one being born 2012, 5 w2s, refund over 10k. So ours was a little more complicated. Hopefully this gives you all some hope!
dudeexcatly..we were all pulled for filing earely..bbut my internet software, and allkthe others ones, need to take some blame because they should not have sent them before 30th..mine said they would hold till then, so i filed on the24th..they sent it in right away and fucked us all….
they think its free money or they wsould be on it getting us money…they are a joke and they can do whatever they like..
next week i plan on calling 3 times a day everyday to let them know that theycan’t just sweep me uner the rug..it will be long waits..but if we all overload theirphones maybe they get the hint

does anyone know the number to call to here your transcript over the phone I ordered mine yet still have not received them nor has the 800# or wmr updated to say anything different other than a refund date will be given when available called the holds department yesterday the rep said they didn’t see any but my return is still processing…..a bunch of cramp… I filed 1/18 accepted on 1/24 orange bar has been gone since 2/1….
That’s the catch. That’s what’s unfair. We weren’t pulled due to suspiscious activity, we weren’t even pulled randomly. It wasnt even a few of us. It was 99% of early filers. We were pulled AUTOMATICALLY by a sensitive and faulty system that could have been worked out before hand. The IRS could acknowledge this and do something about it but they won’t. That’s what pisses me off.

I got my dd on 2/14 for my federal. I just received my account and return transcript. I just had a question. on the account transcript it says tax return filed 3-4-2013 refund issued 3-4-2013. I filed 2-6-13. and received my dd on 2/14, Any idea what they are referring to the Mar 4th date? Thanks.
@chrisreal504… Weve all recieved different bs letters, mine said they didnt need any additional info and the irs also told me that there doesnt seem to be anything wrong with my refund… Kinda seems like as men we arent expected to have custody our kids and shouldnt be claiming children on our refunds… The bullshit is that my ex has a child with her bf and claims that kid with a different last name and same with a coiple other woman I know and they recieved thier refund already… No problem for me cause ny kids are registered in school under me, my names on all the birth certificate, I have court papers saying that I have full custody, and I recieve child support fot my kids so WTF is the problem…
I got a letter saying I have to prove head of household (I have been the only one to claim head of household for over 6 years at this address.I have to prove my kids live with me by sending in school records and doctor records (I have been the only one ever to claim my kids every year since they been born 4 and 7).And prove that I’m there Dad.Come on this is some BS. I can see if I never claimed them are if someone eles claimed them are it looked like fraud yea check but when they get on the phone and say yea I SEE YOU CLAIM THEM EVERY YEAR AND NO ONE ELSE CLAIM THEM IT LOOKS LIKE YOU GOT PICKED RAMDOMLY THEY NEEN TO CLEAR THE MONEY I NEED THIS MONEY FOR BILLS THAT ARE BACKED UP
I didnt know I was in review until I called to see wtf was taking so long and was informed that Id be recieving a letter that was sent out on 2/5… I have checked a few other forums and it seems to be a very popular thing this year…

@2013taxpayer- The letters are postdated for the 18th to the 25th which is a bunch of shit but youll more than likely get it by the 25th… I hope that next week we all can say we have a dd…
After a couple calls to the IRS is finally told I was under review. The examination department and tax advocate confirmed it. No letters or codes in WMR, IRS2Go or Hotline. I did notice I had code 570 on my transcripts which I believe mean review.
Im so pissed I could blow a gasket… We dont deserve this bullshit!!! If they need proof of our kids then simply ask us questions instead of making us suffer… I truly believe that its just gonna get worse when it comes to helping hard working americans!!! Guess its time to quit the 9-5, get on welfare, get foodstamps, and get housing from the government cause it seems like the lazier you are the more the government cares and helps, they dont give a shit about the hard working tax paying middle class that actually TRY to provide for our family… SORRY, just all worked up cause I took a vacation from work based on tax season and promised my kids a “just for them” trip that I dont see happening now…

Got my transcripts today after a week and a half. Still no ‘under review’ letter.

No amanda, no progress. This sucks. I still can’t even order transcripts yet. Hoping something happens this weekend. i posted a message that I saw on the IRS website that we will see an increased amount of returns throughout the President’s Day weekend and week. Thats good news at least.

Return due date or return recieved date (whichever is later) Apr. 15 .2013
Processing date Feb. 18, 2013But thats it, I can’t figure out what that means and I have searched. My transcripts are dated 2/5/13
The cp05 letter I just got is dated 2/25 and says they will be done with mine by April 11, 2013
I saw someone else post earlier in a chat that the Irs does deposits every day and twice a day at 2pm and midnight. Any body else hear that ? I wonder because of Monday being a holiday if any one will get it early.
Ok some have said they received their return transcripts and had a processing date on them.. Mine doesn’t say processing on them anywhere! IRS told me I’m done processing and my refund has been approved but the money has a hold on it!!!!
Well as of today, I was finally able to order my transcripts. Don’t know what it means but maybe I’m getting closer to a DDD.
