When I called the offset # last night around 9pm it was unavailable as well. I called back early this morning and in the afternoon and it worked fine and let me know I had no off-sets. It must shut down after a certain time.

I looked at the post of irs updating schedule seems I filed in accepted on 15 cycle date of 201602 for processing date for production schedule cyle is 201603 which state are a dead cycle but was going to mix in with 4 cycle that IRS on now 21-28 201601-201604 should be this week as I understand

So those who received a DDD were daily cyclers. The IRS will continue processing returns from daily cyclers today and tomorrow as well.

Weekly cycle means your return only gets processed Thursday evenings so you won’t see WMR movements until Friday morning at the earliest. Weekly usually has their processing start within 7 days. Daily gets processed within 4 days. The IRS did not begin processing any returns until the 22nd. They started accepting them on the 19th but the 19th-22nd were designated as non-production days.

I used FreeTaxUSA, finished 1/6, accepted 1/12. Yes I moved, an this is my first year ordering transcripts. I can’t order transcripts, does that mean my taxes aren’t approved? I’m really getting concerned. Does this mean even though I am an early filer, I won’t get my refund on 1/29 like soooooooo many others?

Regardless I believe it’s stupid to send out a generic email saying thank you for using Turbo Tax when we already got one after being accepted. Give me a good reason as to why they would send out a email after 15 days you were accepted?

I filed through FreeTaxUSA on 1/6. Was accepted 1/12. I haven’t been able to order transcripts, this would be my first year doing so, I moved last year, since I can’t order transcripts does that mean my taxes aren’t approved yet?

Guys and gals getting your hopes up cuz ty email from TT… it’s a generic email sent 14 days after they email you that your return has been accepted. ..

If you accepted on 11th you got it yesterday
If accepted on 12th you got it today. And so on.

It has no correlation with your DDD.. TT knows nothing about when you receive your return… hence why they give you the option on the app to state you’ve received it…

Stop flooding TT email crap lol .. be patient

For those wondering if there will be an update today or tomorrow, the IRS processes returns every day. So yes, you may see an updating tomorrow morning or Friday. If you’re on a weekly cycle, you will start seeing updates on WMR Friday morning since weekly accounts are processed Thursday evenings.

@ricks I’m getting over $5k. But I also got over $5k last year and got my refund within 10 days of my return being accepted by the IRS. I’m getting a little bit less this year than I did last year.

@Dan The IRS is very transparent as to how and when they process returns and their process. It’s all in the publications on the IRS website. They release information about updates on their software to prevent identity theft because there have been too many in previous years. They’ve gone to social networking to relay information to the public.

Its doesnt matter if u got accepted earlier than 1/19, reason because the IRS started taking refunds that same day not taxact, turbotax, etc. Yea u couldve submited ur refund starting 1/7 to them but watever u used it didnt forward it to the IRS until 1/19, i used turbotax, submited on 1/20, yea got accepted, meaning there was no errors on my file so it went in with no problems to the IRS, but still processing in WMR in IRS site, possible DD for refunds filed from 1/19-1/27 are likely to be in bank from 2/5-2/11, we can just wait its not like that money is going anywhere, the longer u wait the longer it will last without being spent, lol…

So i filed w/TT on 1/18, accepted 1/19, 1 bar no DDD and can’t order transcript.

Last year I filed w/TT 1/21 accepted 1/22 and had transcript ordered and approved 1/27 recd DD on 1/30.

NOTHING has changed from last year. Same info all the way across the board, same dependents, everything.

Just frustrated I guess because I don’t understand how the IRS system works. I work in insurance and believe you me our claims are processed in order of aged received date. Very few exceptions to that rule, if you file your claim before somebody else it gets processed before somebody else. The only way that is different is if your claim is an appeal I see people who filed after the 19th getting DDDs, and I am glad for them but frustrated for those of us that filed before opening day. *shrugs* Wish I understood the process. It shouldn’t be a mystery. Shouldn’t the IRS be subject to transparency in their practices?
NOTE: I did file on a holiday so I guess that means I officially filed on 1/19, but the frustration remains.

I filed and was accepted 1/22 also. I have cannot access my transcripts and stuck on one bar. The struggle is real!!! Last year, it seemed like they only updated once a week, but every year prior to that, it appeared to be random. I hope updates are not only once a week. I don’t mind the wait for the money, I just hate the wait of not knowing anything!

At this point unfortunately its the sit back and wait game.. Sucks but its the truth, i mean hopefully the IRS got a huge amount of refunds processed today and we will have good news in the morning but it is not likely. The only thing we can do is wait til wednesday exactly 21 days from being accepted and call the IRS and get answers as to why they haven’t issued our returns..? Some people already got DDD dates others have said in the past the WMR doesn’t update at all for them. They just receive the funds via DD. Maybe we will be that lucky?? Lol we can only hope.. If u have any info please share and I will do the same :) good luck.

Filed federal and state on 1/22 both accepted within an hour. No wmr movement. Still stuck on one bar and transcripts not available. I used TT to file. This is the first year I paid the fees upfront instead of having them taken out of my refund.

I was wondering the same I was accepted on 1/19. I’ve heard if you were accepted before 11 am on 1/19 its a possibility that you will receive a DDD this week not sure if its true or not. I was accepted after this time 3:30 pm

I always file early but this year I waited. The past 2 year my refund was delayed and I was penalized for filing early. Last year I filed more than a week before the IRS opened, and didn’t get my refund until 3 weeks after everyone started getting theirs. So this year, I filed on 1/25/16 and was accepted 23 minutes later. The next morning I had 1 bar on WMR and my anticipated refund amount shows on SBBT’s website. I didn’t expect much since its only been 2 days but can’t order transcripts yet. I can’t even pull up the old ones under my previous address from 2014 tax year’s tracker (when I could yesterday morning). It says I entered the wrong address. And it’s saying no information is found when I put in my new address I filed with this year. Maybe that means something is progressing. Heres to hoping.

OK guys here’s what I got after calling turbo tax and the Irs. – I filed on the 7th, accepted on the 11th…still have one bar and tax topic 152.

First off..no worries on tax topic 152…just telling you the options for receiving your refund and that efiling with dd is best

First I called turbo tax and lady said it only shoes them what we see on our apps or screens. The time frame for me is jan.19th to Feb 8th when I may see my refund sent. She did mention that because I was an early filer mine was put on a hold on the 19th. (I’m thinking filing early was a bad idea) probably for fraud reasons because that’s when scammers make there move. So nothing new on that end but she did say she didn’t see anything to be alarmed about so that’s good.

Yesterday called the offset number and it said I have no known debts so that’s good…but also said there are new debts added everyday. :/ i think I’m OK because my students loans are in forbearance and was told by turbo tax that if they are not in default or sent to collection that they will not be affected.

Now for the irs……this lady was mean at first and said that they cannot see anything or research anything until it’s been 21 days. Even though I was accepted on the 11th ,they didn’t begin until the 19th. So from what she could see….it’s just a waiting game and if 21 days pass then give them a call.

Last year I received my refund in the bank and then two days later the bars on the irs website updated to sent and gave and date for a few days well after I already received it. So I’m hoping this is the case but just gona skip tt and irs website and just check my bank each afternoon til I see it. Lol. Good luck everyone!

Just wanted to update everyone and let them know when I spoke to the IRS today, the guy pretty much said “We just started on the 19th and everyone is in a mixed bag right now, regardless of filing date, so try to stop worrying about when it’ll show up. Check the WMR website and it’ll update to our most recent information. You will literally know as much as I do, when the information is released into the system. You can start worrying a little if it hasn’t moved after February 9th.”

Sigh. Any information they offer us is still helpful.

Same here Taxact filed. Accepted on 1/13… No movement at all. Transcripts are still not available NOTHING. We should have been among the first batch but I am not getting my hopes up.. Its looking more like next week for us it seems :(. It just scares me because I have NEVER waited this long with no update at least. And I always file early so idk what the issue could be..

My point was that I usually get back the same amount. Or pretty close to it. Maybe some of you that are expecting more this year than previous years are being looked into a little more. I’m not saying your getting audited but they are probably reviewing your return a little deeper than usual. Either way you should still get something by friday at the latest. I know last night a gentlemen had posted a phone number to call to see if your returns had been offset. I personally do not remember the number but you can call and see if maybe that’s why it’s being delayed. Offset is if you owe some form of government back child support and so forth and I know if you do it can take a lonnnnnngggg time.

For starters their is a deal called cycle chart.* Now this is the replacement of what we all use to depend on when we actually got DDD. While depending on when you file (e.x.1/11/16) recieved and accepted. Now let’s say your friend Bob filed on 1/23/16 recieved& accepted and got Approved 1/27/16 for a DDD of 1/29/16??? Well going back to what I mentioned earlier about the cycle chart, each date frame as an acceptance and cut off date for that batch. So giving that Bob filed 1/23/16 approved 1/27/16 and you filed 1/11/16 it is because the IRS accept and approves those quicker who file closer too the cut off date.1/29/16 is the cut up for early filers. Now if Bob have an offset it could prolong until next follwing DDD’s. But WMR do update nightly meaning Wednesday night into Thursday morning around 5am-6ish. It never fails filed in
2014: 2/19 accepted–3/1 approved 3/5 DD
2015 1/21 accepted –1/31 approved 2/4 DD
2016: 1/19 –accepted Hopefully refund approved on 1/29 for a 2/2 DDD. So everyone that haven’t gotten a DDD should be expecting them these week. Also its not a bad thing too file early 1 being is that once your approved you dont have too wait the extra 4 days after getting your DDD. I live in NY and was aware I had an offset with them. My state refund was more then enough to cover I was just noticed they are taking the money from my federal and my state and there is nothing I can do but in about 90 days I can request the extra money be refunded back to me.. Err

I used netspend and loved it last year. but this year did the same thing but just wanted a new card..I have still not got an email from them regarding them sending me a card like they did last year, This has me slightly worried.
