Because of fraud in the past, they made it that this year you can only order them through the mail. Instead of being able to view and print them online. So if you were able to order anything for 2015 then you should expect an update soon.

Sorry I know I filed on 1/18 and accepted on 1/19, but the account transcript is the one you want to be able to order. That is the one that tells you what you have done and what the IRS has done. Expect an update soon. I am personally expecting an update tomorrow and money by Wednesday 2/3. BUT THAT IS MY OPINION not factual just what I have experienced.

I am alittle confused. I filed and was accepted 1/11/2016 so I guess I was a early filer. WMR is still stuck at one bar. Tried to order my return transcript yesterday for 2015 and was not able to, but when on this morning and tried and it let me. Said it would be mailed out. @money its seems that the most important transcript is the account transcript. Everyone is seemingly now able to get it. I read on here in another forum that the account transcript tells you about payments and any adjust that were made on your return after being processed. So lets keep our fingers crossed for updates or Deposits soon.

Im a first time filer, i filed and was accepted on 1/19 but im not able to order my account transcript. Its is saying.
“Your request cannot be completed. Please contact us at 1-800-908-9946, our automated telephone self service, to order an account or a return transcript.” and it says can not process request when i called it in. Should i be worried? Or it only doing that because i am a first time filer?

I haven’t been able to order any transcripts until today. I am able to get account not return. But I know I am a weekly. I think once a weekly filer, always a weekly filer. I haven’t had an offset in a long time but my ex husband always had an offset and I had to file an injured spouse the last couple of years. So in my humble opinion I think I will have my refund by Wednesday the 3rd. Fingers crossed.

I am not sure why ppl feel it necessary to lie. No refunds have been released. Not a single one. IRS also did not begin processing tax returns UNTIL 1/19. Your ss# is what is accepted…nothing more. Everyone wants their refunds now but reality is patience is a virtue. 21 days or less in most cases…from 1/19….not 1/12…For the people who are lying about ddd…and dd’s…just stop.

If you can order your return transcripts it means your refund has been processed. It literally what the return transcript is. A record of what happened during the process of your refund. Account transcript is just your tax payer profile in carbon copy. You want to be able to order that return transcript then you know your money is on its way:) I am getting the same message so it’s simply means my return isn’t finished being processed yet.

by the way, how do you know what cycle you are in? and if i am reading correctly, being processed today means we are in the “weekly processing cycle” and the only way you get put in that is if you have an offset or foreign address, or id theft, etc.. but i do not have any of that.. any chance people randomly get put in that cycle too? or did i just happen to be processed the same day as them?

I recently looked at my old transcripts and I believe I am a weekly. I think my 2013 cycle code ended in 05. Last year I got my deposit on a Wednesday. I just went to see if I could order transcripts for this year and it finally let me order my account transcript. My BF though had his parents address and this year he used our address. Well it won’t take his old address anymore but it still won’t let me order his. This being said I think that we will both have our updates tomorrow ( if it updates cause i have had it not update before) and have our money by the 3rd.

No, I wouldn’t panic just yet according to TT only 1% of people who filed around that date have gotten their money back. I think the rest of us will see more refunds mid week. Next week. I’m a 1/22 filer and got accepted with really no wait one bar for over a week. Also consider that all refunds are sent out to several hubs depending on your location. ( some hubs are faster than others, we also can’t forget about the storms that affected a lot of the US.) I wouldn’t panic until after the 9/10th of feb??

For everyone that was able to view an account transcript only means that the next batch is due for a DDD. Last year and year before that i was able too order my transcript a day before i had gotten approved meaning that today is Friday and i always get approved Friday night into Saturday morning . Sooo continue too hold on theres light at the end of the tunnel!!!

So today I was finally able to order my account transcript but return this is the message I’m getting :

A transcript is not available for the year you have requested. For information about requesting an actual copy of your return use IRS Form 4506. Other transcripts and Form 4506 are available if you contact us at 1-800-908-9946, our automated telephone self service. You can see information about requesting a copy of your return as well.

Does that mean they are finalizing my return ? Anyone else with this ? I’m in dead cycle 201601 .

The difference is one is just a summary of your tax payer file. And the return transcript is basically an itemized quick version of your return, meaning it’s been recorded and to show the codes of what happened during your processing. If you can Oder a copy of your actual return transcript then, you can assume money is around the corner. Simply because that transcript is a record of your returned being processed. ( whatever the outcome)

Gm y’all! There is light at the end of the tunne!. I’m finally able to order my transcript. WMR is still showing 1bar I assume it hasn’t updated. Hopefully we all will get our much needed money soon!

Being able to order an account transcript is good news. An account transcript will show “all the edits” the IRS made to the return. A return transcript doesn’t show anything they did. Account transcript also shows payments. I’m thinking an update tonight :)

Tax Account Transcript – shows basic data including return type, marital status, adjusted gross income, taxable income, credits and payments. It also shows adjustments made by you or the IRS after you filed the return. Note: If you made estimated tax payments and/or applied your overpayment from a prior year tax return to your current year tax return, you can use this transcript to confirm these payments or credits a few weeks after the beginning of the calendar year prior to filing your current year return.
