I’m getting an IRS letter tomorrow, which informed delivery has a link for to an ‘EITC assistant’. I am not eligible for EITC, and didn’t claim it. Why am I getting this letter?

It doesn’t have a cycle code. It says no tax return filed at the bottom of the transcript.

Last year my cycle code was 0704 and prior to that, I had always been a weekly. IDK what’s happening this year, tbh…

Yesterday I called and spoke with a live person who was helpful. She let me know that my issue was I was rejected 3 times before it was finally approved. I was having issues with my security pins that my husband and I need to put in to file our taxes.

She notes our account and told my it could take up to 120 days to fix. This morning I woke up to a DDD of 3/4. I am not sure if her noting my account helped but I am grateful I called.

I called the tax advocate because of I too am experiencing financial hardship and was relying on these taxes for several things. They basically told me that the letter says 60 days but there wasn’t anything they could until 120 days has past. So even though the letter states 60 they have 120 days and tax advocate will not help until that time is up.

I also just received this 4464c letter on feb 20, I filed on the 7th on February. This is the first time seeing anything like this. I am now sucked into this loop hole of researching how long it takes to get your refund after receiving this notice. It looks like there is no definitive answer. LITERALLY everyone says something different ranging from 2 weeks to an entire year.

My husband’s job left the 12c section blank on the W2. They sent us an updated w2, but after we already filed and it had been accepted. We filed an amendment and now have the code 971. Does this mean we are being held because of the amendment? Is there anything they will need from us?

I check my IRS account and wmr daily. Filed and accepted 12.28.2024. transcript populated with good codes but no ddd. Fild with h and r block. Got advance and fees taken out from state return. Still waiting. No letters or errors. Called IRS they said everything is delayed because of path act. Why am I still waiting and all the other ppl I know who chose h and r block have a ddd already? BS. SMH

It’s possible Depending on cycle code I was 05 for years checked my transcript 10 mins ago changed to 04, all codes posted 846 for 3/4, filed 1/27 w/ TT, Pather, was stuck with still processing for 2 weeks i believe most will update between now and Saturday, Good luck!

Wmr 1 bar and no transcripts just a not processed message, verification of non filing and no wages. I’m absolutely livid, first my refund is trash and I paid liberty for nothing and now this!

So if I filed after path lifted will I still have to wait two to three weeks like normal path people or will it move like a normal filer that wouldn’t have Eic and CTC. We didn’t get one of our tax forms till the 18th of February and filed that day. So I’m hoping we get it by the second week of March. But as of right now no movement on the transcripts at all

Last year I was a 0904 I’m guessing I’m the same this year bc Monday was 0901 that updated for 27th dd and I think last night was 0903 for 3rd dd. This years taxes is very in depth because of so many income and gains and losses.

I do my own taxes, so I had to make sure I did everything right and got the maximum I can.

Been doing taxes for almost 2 decades for myself and this years was a learning experience. So I’m a little nervous myself 🤣
