Thanks everyone for the info, I have been a user here for many years, and I am sorry to appear to have not bothered looking before posting, but this website is becoming increasingly difficult to navigate and use. Not sure if their servers can’t handle the load, or what, but almost half of every link I click on this site hangs indefinitely or is followed by my browser crashing. Mainly a predominantly mobile issue, but certainly happens on my pc as well.
So, sorry for missing the posts about this, it was not out of willful ignorance.
To those who answered anyway, thank you so much! Totally appreciated.
Everything the same with me too. Filed 1/14, accepted 1/16, wmr still has 1 bar, refund amount showing, and Topic 152. Filed with TT, having fees taken out, SBBT account available no money yet.
I have never been rejected, I was just wondering if after being Accepted, you could still be rejected.
@Jess1241 yes, that is what I meant, if being accepted then rejected was possible. :-)
@Kristi & @sharee thanks for sharing, I appreciate it, sorry about that experience though, Im sure it was stressfull.
Anyone…..Buellar….Buellar……lol
I really haven’t found an answer yet, not a straight one anyway. Can anyone out there please explain the process & reasoning behind being accepted or rejected?
Or if anyone has a personal experience with being accepted first & then rejected, please help shed some light here?
January 20, 2015 at 3:06 pm in reply to: Finaly a statement from the irs about the "glitch" #4093040Sam, that is the second link to a literal piece of crap you have left this morning. It is getting annoying. Also, I was eating a Twix at the time, “was” being the operative word there.
Can’t you find something else to do down there in your mom’s basement? Maybe if you look hard enough, you’ll find a soccer ball. :-)
Now I will attempt to eat my other Twix half in peace.
Filed with TT on the 14th, at 9pm, roughly, federal accepted the 16th, state (GA) accepted this morning. WMR says accepted, one orange bar, with amount to the left and Topic 152.
@Sam, while tax preparers certainly do just that, if wmr says you are accepted, you are accepted. The IRS accepted my return on the 16th, I filed with TT the 14th. So, whether simply as a test or not, the IRS has officially accepted several returns before the 20th.
As far as time frames, if the first date last year was the 6th, and they opened the 30th, wouldn’t that mean this year the earliest DDD would be the 27th?
