State received 3 weeks after
Federal still says processing ddd will be updated when available. Has been for like a month now.Called IRS was told I have to wait until April 22 ( 10 week mark) to call back if I haven’t heard anything. I haven’t received any letters or notices. Was told by IRS that nothing needs to be done. Transcripts are blank. I’m thinking I may have to fill out the tax advocate form and send it in.

Still no update for me this week. As of date still 3/18 as well as the 570. EFiled and accepted 2/25 with IS. This wait is so frustrating. Honestly, I don’t understand why it takes so long to process injured spouse returns. Hopefully good news is on the way.

I just spoke with an IRS rep who sounded like she was still in bed sleeping I can hardly make out what she was saying because she was mumbling in a southern voice; Frustrated as hell – she knew NOTHING told me to wait 120 days even though I received a CP05 letter on March 4th I took a 401K loan
PROCESSING DATE Feb. 26, 2024Still nothing. I’m about to start calling them every day just to annoy them. I’ve already changed my tax withholding info on my W4. The government won’t be getting any more interest free loans and then holding it from me anymore. Done with that crap.

We are going to call the Tax Advocates and see if there’s anything we can do.

All the updates I’ve seen so far with a a 570 have a date for 3/4 and 3/11… wondering if 3/18 and 3/25 will update this Thursday?? It s a theory! I hope it’s right. I need this refund! 1/31 filer and this wait is ridiculous

My transcripts have been the same since Feb. I also received Another notice yesterday for Another 60 days but look at God! I never called, just waited patiently. I was a weekly this year but still updated on a Tuesday. I did have a 401k withdrawl from Fidelity.My 401k withdraw was through adp. Prior to having them I didn’t even know they did 401k
For does who withdrew from their 401k what was the financial institution that managed you 401k? I know for mine it was fidelity. It could be the IRS hasn’t received the information on the withdrawal from the financial institution just yet.

just wanted to let you know what I’m dealing with. I amended the end of Feb, checked my transcripts Tue 3/9 and I have tax code 290 with 0.00 on 3/5. look up the where’s my amended refund, that should give you a little info. it shows like where’s my refund with the 3 bars, only diff is instead of RECIEVED APPROVED SENT it shows RECIEVED ADJUSTED & COMPLETE.
i’ve had a 570 code since feb 16,2024. called irs they say under review my w2 doesn’t match my input it is off by $1900 i sent in my last pay check of december which check ends date of 12/15/2023 and it shows amount i put on my return but my w2 is showing i made less ????? how is that possible so i amended return and now wondering how much longer will i have to wait on my refund to b released

I withdrew from my 401k last year and still waiting on an update. Cycle 0705 and nothing has changed on my transcripts since mid February. Got cp05 on 3-11. I called a tax advocate and they can’t do anything, plus I was told to wait an additional 60 days, so if I don’t get the refund or hear anything by July 9 I can call back. This tax season has been beyond frustrating
I was one of the ones who taken out from my 401k.
I usually get updated today, but still the same as before.

Soooooooo relieved to see that things are finally going through for others… I was just wonder for the ones that are receiving the 846 code what is you guys cycle number .. I’m a 05 weekly and I still haven’t seen any updates… simple tax return with ctc & eic & only code 570 3/11

Just looked at my transcript this morning and I got 571 and 846 which is dated for 4/12!
I looked at Where’s My Refund and it hasn’t updated yes so I’m guessing that will change tomorrow. So hopefully I should see my refund in my account this coming Friday!
I’m just glad I can see the light at the end of the tunnel…

I called the IRS again this morning to make sure they had our 1099 since my husband took a 401k withdrawal last year, and I’ve seen a handful of people say their retirement company hadn’t sent them in. She said they have it, and they just “randomly selected” us to review our income. Unbelievable. We’ve never had this issue before. Hoping for some good news this week.
Called a tax advocate earlier to see if they could do anything and they can’t help. Since I got a cp05 they told me I just have to wait but now instead of waiting 60 days (may 11th) I need to wait 120 so if I don’t get the refund or hear anything by July 9th I can call back. I withdrew from a 401k last year due to changing jobs and I feel like that’s the hold up. This is so frustrating. Hope we all find something out soon
Filed 2/1. 570 and 971 codes shortly after. Waited and finally received letter stating IRS was reviewing my info. Reach out to Senators office for advocacy and they informed me it was due to 403b withdrawal that IRS is currently unable to verify. Just sent in bank statements, as well as Nationwide Retirement statement showing withdrawal. Hopefully I get this refund soon. Ridiculous tax year so far.
I also wanted to add that the WMR is updated for me now that I got my 846 date.
I’ve had a 570 code since 2/26 filed && accepted 1/29. In dire need they said the w2 they received was not matching to the one that was given to me and I have to wait 120days. I’m in the state of Florida how do I contact a tax advocate? Thank you.

846 Refund Issued – 4/11/2024I finially got good news. I am a daily and noticed right now that I have a 846 dated 4-11-24. Filed and accepted on Jan 29th.
Same thing I spoke with the tax advocate last week and they said that my 1099 that I reported they hadn’t received from the company that I had my retirement with. That’s why I am under a 60 day review which is bullshit.

IRS don’t even know what direction to move this is a nightmare I need that money!! I’m stuck on one bar and transcripts still don’t have any codes or anythingReceived information from Senator’s office. Found out that the IRS needed proof of my retirement withdrawal and that the copy of the 1099-R wasn’t good enough.
Sent the caseworker the statement showing the withdrawal and what taxes were taken and my bank statement showing the deposit.
This is BS. Isn’t this what the 1099-R is for? If I didn’t report it, I would have my money already!! CP05 said nothing needed. But obviously there was.

Identity cleared up waiting on 1099-r from Principal. She says they don’t process 1099 until April. says call back May 6th (my 9th week) if I haven’t gotten taxes. Anybody else have Principal for 401k?

As of 3/25A taxpayer advocate called me on 4/2 said my employer reported lower wages and my w2 didn’t match. My employer had to write a letter on letterhead and uploaded it to the irs.gov/tasconnect.
Does anyone know if this does speed up the process? and who else is working with an advocate?
