I still have not gotten the verification letter that was sent out on 2/10 so they said I could send documents to prove who i am and they just got it and said I will have my refund in 7 to 10 days. Has anyone gone through this and does it really take that long?

For those who had to ID verify how long did it take to get the letter from mass?
@Sarah it means you are all good nothing bad and that the irs has till 2/17/2020 to either process your return or put another date on there of when they will process your return
can someone please explane the cycle code for me? Mine is 20200505 and I do not understand

@Joslyn how long is it now that you are still waiting on letter. Mine is going out today so I am just wondering.
Just got a message back the letter they sent will not appear on mass tax connect and I have to wait for it in the mail because it contains sensitive information. Now I am just mad.
@tae I am in the same boat but there is no letter. I just sent them a message. My refund is finally there showing in green and parenthesis. I filed on 2/3/2020 and just got accepted 2/8/2020.
Anyone else have jackson hewitt and get an alert that mass has accepted your return but the tax account page shows no refund found?
@radshackgirl77 (aka: Erika K) I have chime as well and did my refund for direct deposit, so when was your direct deposit suppose to hit? Did you get it early? When did you file and when did you get accepted? Sorry if you already said it

@JackieE, who have received your federal on your american express serve card from Jackson Hewitt? Can you tell me when the irs said you would have it? I did my taxes with Jackson Hewitt but I am not having the money put on the serve card it is going into my checking account?

Has anyone here gotten their refund sooner than the MTC account said
@Adam the only way I knew the letter was coming was my checking my refund status not on my personal mtc account but on the regular page where you can check you status of refund and it says at the bottom that a letter went on on 2/7/18
Update I filed 1/22/18 and accepted same day. I had my mass refund in green for almost 2 weeks and then I received a letter with a code to verify my identity on monday 2/12/18, i did that online same day and today my amount finally went black and I have a DDD of 2/16/18, no change on the federal but I am hearing they are gonna start processing all of those eic and child credits tomorrow so hopefully we see changes tomorrow.

@Jackie E wow that is very weird let me know how that goes.
@Jackie E I called DOR the letter sent is to verify your identity once you get the letter is gives you steps to do on MTC to verify your identity and then they release your refund. Hope this helps.
@Jackie thanks but mine says there is no alerts and mine is still green. I also got accepted on 1/22/18 with Jackson Hewitt. I am going to call DOR and see if they can give me any info. I will keep you updated.
@ tiffany did getting the letter affect your refund, are you still waiting on it?
@ JAckie where are you seeing the letter part on MTC, I dont see it anywhere on mine but on the other wbesite where you can check your refund it says a letter was sent to me.
ok so my MTC is still () green but the telephone number says my information is incorrect and the check status page says a letter went out. None of this makes sense
@Amanda, Thank you for the info. Now my MTC says a letter was mailed for additional information. Does anyone know what that means?
@ Amanda, When did you file your federal and did you claim EIC and child tax credits?
