Pather, cycle 0405, processing date 2/14
File 1/23, accepted 1/24
Updated this morning on transcriptsHad long message for about a week, if I remember correctly.
Got approved message yesterday
Deposited this morning!
Definitely no long waiting on it after approvedMy message was the long one this morning, but just checked and shows
The direct deposit for your refund has been authorized and should be issued within 10 days.
So, it does update during the day!
I cant quote remember. Whats the break down on short vs long and other messages
Your 2019 return has been received and is currently being processed. Initial processing for error-free electronically filed returns is 2-3 weeks. Initial processing for mailed in returns may take up to 10-12 weeks. If additional information is needed the Department of Revenue will contact you.
message changed it seems but cant remember what it means
@606 7 days for approval, 10 days following for deposit are the stated times. However, its usually more like 2-3 days for approval and 1-2 days for deposit…business days.
@606 it means that they are actively working on your return. They have “scanned it into the mainframe” and it should be within 7 days for it to be approved.
Just called this morning, and was informed to watch my card that I had been approved. My message is still the long message.
Still waiting here. I am on the long message. Filed in January, accepted 1/30, shows up on ky website around 2/7 even before they officially started, Last Friday I called and they told me I was being scanned in and should be 2-3 days, and still on the long message today.
Just got off the phone with a rep. She stated my return has been uploaded to the mainframe and will take 2-3 days for processing, but can take up to 7 days to be scanned in and if there are any errors they will contact me.
The days part shocked me and I thought she misspoke and meant weeks, but she doubled down on the “days”
What is the short vs long message?
Well, sitting on their hands this year. Filed 1/23 and they wont even confirm they have gotten my return.
I do the same thing every year and never have issue. EIC and all that. Only done IS once before, and that was two years ago. and it had noissue. Just a check showing up in the mail.
So, I have EIC< CTC, ATC, IS and maybe some others. I filed 1/23, accepted 1/24 and I had one bar for a few days and then it disappeared and was saying that refund was processing with no bars. I called IRC on 1/30 and they said there was no issue and that it would take 11 weeks for me to get my refund because of the injured spouse form.
This morning I check it and it says
“Take Action! Please see below for additional information on your refund”
and below it says “There is a delay in processing your tax return.
If you have a question, contact us.”When I click on contact us it says
”

Reference number 1541.
”I dont think this is the PATH message, and why would there be an issue when IRS told me it looked fine. Of course, they have to do this on Saturday Morning when no one is available to talk to.
If I had gotten notice of them trying to garnish my federal return I would have challenged it on the basis of hardship, but I never got anything for it. I work as a pizza delivery driver right now. I make very little money. I used to have a decent job, but I got sick and had to move cross country in order to survive. This delivery job was the only thing I have been able to find.
I have an interview for a decent job here in less than a week, but it will still be a couple months, if I get the job at all, before we start getting income from it. In the meantime we are sinking further and further. Our bank account balance is over 500 bucks over drawn, we are behind on rent, and we are trying to get other bills paid off. This return would have taken care of everything we needed and given up a leg up. Now, I am worried that it will all be gone.
