@dadof5
This happened to me some years back I accidentally typed in my account number wrong but it was only off by a digit. Since everything else matched my bank went ahead and accepted it instead if rejecting it hopefully they will do the same for you.
NetSpend just hut my card with deposit my ddd is 2/27
February 23, 2019 at 3:29 pm in reply to: SBTPG…Turbo Tax Filers with fees from refund..LETS UPDATE HERE #4298927Unfortunately Natalie if Wells Fargo receives your refund early they will not release it early and this is exactly why I stopped using them for direct deposits. In the past I received my refund in my account between 6-8 am.
It’s crazy the things I’ve been reading on this forum this year I mean every year we get a few retards on here starting crap but I mean it’s like every section I go to I’m blown away by the disrespect from certain people on here being very inappropriate. We are here to share information regarding tax refunds period. Anyone who isn’t here for that please return to Facebook. No one is here to be bullied, to take an English class, or be insulted. Remember what goes around comes around and a persons negative attitude is usually a reflection of how they truly feel inside. Don’t allow someone to rub that negative energy off on you or hold clouds over your day, simply ignore them and move on.

Path message 2/9
Path lifted 2/16receiving generic message we have received your return and it is being processed since 2/16. CA state taxes selected to verify return but thanks to being able to log into account I noticed I was receiving a letter to verify it was me who filed the return. Called this morning at 7 am to complete and took 5 mins agent processed return right then and there. Not everyone who is held under path would have updated for the 2/22 DD. I knew I wouldn’t be in the first batch and I also knew I wouldn’t update until Saturday morning at midnight as always. Just hang in there guys they have made it pretty clear the majority of early filers will update Saturday morning 2/23 with your projected ddd. We will have our refunds by Wednesday 2/27 and sooner for those who have cards like NetSpend and other prepaid cards that release deposits upon receiving notice it’s on it’s way.
Change of address form
8822 formCall offset hotline it should tell you where the money went make sure you listen for both option 1 and option 2
If your state refund won’t cover what you owe they will deduct from your federal return. They normally will take your state and deduct the remainder from your federal.
What ever happened to filling your state and receiving it within 7 days. I’m so over this 1 month message I get it every year.
I wouldn’t say they are full of ish I would say the idiot processing returns released the return instead of holding it. I mean these people are only human and if the mistake isn’t a person it definitely was an error in the computer. I mean think about the millions of returns being filled and processed, the system is bound to have a error every so many batches I mean it’s a computer. My computer acts up all the time and dosent do what it’s supposed to. I bet every couple of thousand returns processed some are going to slip through the cracks.
Correction we all know some won’t even update some will just wake up to money in there account
Irss.gov newsroom on irs website post daily. They specifically state returns on PATH will be updated by the 23rd for most of those who filed early. Not on the 23rd they state by the 23rd. If returns can’t be released before the 15th which is this Friday it would make since the first update will be this Saturday at midnight along with it’s usual Saturday morning update. So between Saturday the 16th and Saturday the 23rd you should be updated on wmr for those on path who filed early.
I would assume the whole point of not releasing path returns until after the 15th would be to see if someone else filed a return with your information, someone tried to claim your dependent, and steal your credits. If they fully processed our returns but we’re just holding them until after the 15th, they wouldnt catch the person committing fraud. So I would say our returns have been partially processed and after the 15th they are going to run them through again to check for duplicate returns, if your dependent is being claimed on ànother return, etc. The point of PATH is to protect us from fraud.
When you call the offset hotline make sure you check for option 1 which is money owed to the state or federal agencies ( not irs), go back to the previous menu then select option 2 which is for other debt. Whatever you owe will be deducted from your refund and they will issue the rest. Normally once your refund is processed and you have updated on wmr the system will tell you that your refund has been reduced and by how much they will send you the difference however you selected to receive it. If your debt exceeds your refund they will take it all wmr will update with a message saying your refund was offset to pay a debt and they will send you a letter in the mail explaining who they paid the money to.
IRS2Go mobile app will be updated February 23 for the vast majority of early filers who claimed the Earned Income Tax Credit or the Additional Child Tax Credit. These taxpayers will not see a refund date on Where’s My Refund?
Where’s My Refund will be updated with projected deposit dates for most early EITC and ACTC refund filers by February 23

February 9, 2019 at 12:32 pm in reply to: Can’t provide any info about your return Code 9001 #4263936https://thecollegeinvestor.com/15858/what-does-irs-reference-number-9001-really-mean/
What IRS Code 9001 Really Means
The actual code tells you exactly what it means – you filed a tax return that had multiple Social Security numbers attached to it. Typically, this is a husband and wife, but it could also include children as well (you never know, adult dependents may be checking the status of the refund). When you file your tax return, you have to specify a primary taxpayer, and the spouse or children all are secondary. If you login to Where’s My Refund or on the IRS App and try to use the secondary Social Security number, you’re going to get this error message.
Let’s just hope there won’t be another government shutdown, who knows what will happen then. I do know if that was to happen, they aren’t dumb enough to hold our money hostage.
Filed 1/28
Accepted 1/28
Still showing generic message with 152 code.
Feb 18th would be 21 days since I filed and was accepted. If I remember last year the 18th was presidents day and the IRS was closed. If I had to guess they will start issuing some returns 2/16 and 2/17 without updating wmr for some. They will close for Presidents day on Monday 2/18 reopen Tuesday 2/19 and start releasing more returns Wednesday 2/20 and so on. -
