I always get it early. This year was no different. 2/15 date and 2/13 DD. Just 2 days.
Hey Everyone no DD yet and no money in my account yet but I was just finally able to order return transcript, Whoo HOO! SO happy to see something change.
I have been sitting on that message for over a week now. Still no dd date on wmr but I was just able to finally order return transcript so they have processed my return. So glad to see some movement finally

Thanks! GA just accepted our return Tuesday. I just checked on the GA WMR site and it says ‘we’ve received your return and please allow us 6-8 weeks to process’ WTF??? I’m not sure if that’s a generic message they give everyone or if we will get reviewed as well. I wouldn’t be surprised since we did owe them and they put a lien against us in years past.
I KNOW they owe us money from last year. I’ve done the figuring and we owed them $368 out of the $1068 we put in. Well, they kept the difference AND they took the money from our federal return. I plan on having them show US how the kept this money AFTER we get our $819 they owe us this year. I don’t want to cause them any reason to hold the funds this year. We need every little penny we can get our family needs to get into a new place ASAP. We did not get as much federal back as we were thinking we’d get. We had a new baby in 2012 giving us 3 children. Family members who have 3 kids get back 9K and more each year, so I thought we would. NOPE… 5485.00. Our income did increase this year from last year, so it reduced our EIC a good bit. I know its better to make more income we were just kind of depending on that 9k…lol
I Received that same message @ 1230am on the 12th…this is the second day of me sitting on it…so I hope a get sum good news soon
Ok boyfriend got DD today of the federal he overpaid. Still waiting on letter to resolve EIC refund issue which is $7k.
Just received my DD on my prepaid card at 11:08 pm CST.
Filed witih turbo tax.
I used free file so no fees.
I had my funds sent to my school financial aid prepaid card.

Received my funds 2/13 @ 11:08pm CST.Also I used hr block.
I filed 1/30 accepted 1/31 filed hoh one dependent and eic. I also had an offset from money I owed the irs from two years ago. My refund was dd today 1/13,as scheduled.
Ok so after reading in the forum about reviews this is what I’m coming up with because the IRS is no help!!!

Called IRS three times was told everything look fine just still processing /:
Knew something was wronge seeing as how my brother I law filed last week and received his today!!!
Called and spoke with a very nice lady. She told me my refund had been aproved but had a he on it. So she transferred me to the holds department and from their I was told they didn’t see anything! Was transferred back to customer service and hung up on. Called back this time straight to the holds department.. The lady I spoke with was really short with me. She stated my refund amount and that it had a hold she wouldn’t tell me why just that I should be receiving a 4464c letter then hung up on me! So I called the tax advocate line and I’m not afraid to say why! ( 4 months behind on mortgage )
Was told unless we recieve a letter saying our home will be foreclosed on they can’t help:’(
She did tell me that my 4464c letter hasn’t been sent out yet (they send them out in batches)
After doing some research I do believe our refund is being held be quad of the amount +9k the largest it’s ever been because my husbands work was slow this year. Which is the reason we are behind on our house but also the reason for the larger refund (different tax bracket)
I guess all I can do is just wait and see what’s going to happen! BUT Where’s My Refund (WMR) is still showing processing with 21 day message! It has never changed to under review take action or anything! It’s just strange..so what could happen I paid taxes from the balance? great nervous more, he said shldnt have a delay

Can’t order transcriptsThat’s tough, for sure. I hope all the people in real need get their funds quickly. No need to add further stress. I don’t know what it is though… I was reading on the main feed earlier that half the 30th/31st filers got sent to a backed up queu and are taking about a week longer to process. You never know how accurate that information is over the internet… but I’d like to think that we’re quickly approaching our ddd update since about half of us last week got their DDD’s. Now it’s our turn.

Hey again ladies. Sounds like a smart idea after all u went through Amanda. Fortunately, I am not in need of the money eihter. I’m a mother and housewife, my husband does well and we are big savers. Tax refund time is our “mad money” We are responsible all yr so we put a chunk into savings and treat ourselves with some of it.
But I have also become super ocd about tracking too. ha ha. It’s so frustrating!
I read on here about one person whose electric was going to get cut off cuz they were counting on the refund. bless her heart. I haven’t had that kind of worry since college, thank goodness.

@ANAHBryan29… I’ve seen a lot of people say that they change to that status a few days before getting a DDD. Others have been stuck on that for over a week though. Let’s hope for the best and say it’s a good thing. :)

Hi ladies! MrsTiff… I am not getting a large refund this year. After it taking nearly 7 months to get my refund last year I changed my deductions so I would get less taken out of my check and a smaller refund to anticipate. I had ID theft last year though so that was the hold up. My tax advocate last year told me that filing with an identity protection pin this year shouldn’t slow things for me and the few times I’ve called the hotline so far this year has said the same… only one person told me to add about a week to my processing time if at all. I file with only 1 dependent. It still sucks though :/ I am trying to start my own photography business and every little bit would help at this point. A part of me is feeling fortunate that I am not hurting for my refund like some others are. However, I still just want to know what’s going on and why it’s not processing at the speed it should.
@txgirl… I will have to check out that site. I’ve become pretty ocd about checking this site to find out how you all are progressing!
filed 2-4 accepted 2-5 then today i call and she tells me accepted 2-6, i asked if there were problems with my return, she says no, everything has been verified im in payment venue whatever that means, im still on processing never got a ddd
I filed and was accepted on 1/31. Married/Joint return, 2 dependents, EIC. Fairly simple return. Until yesterday morning WMR was showing the orange bar and saying processing. Yesterday morning the bar disappeared and a message stating it was still processing and a refund date would be provided when available. Is this a good sign? I tried the whole ordering transcripts thing and as of a couple of hours ago, I cant. Anyone have any insight?

Hi Amanda and Tiff. I’m still waiting too. Filed 1/30. 2 wks now. I called again this afternoon and lady said no probs with my return just processing. She did say that wmr isn’t working properly and isn’t giving everyone ddd. Also said that system isn’t giving reps updates like ddd. So could happen without notice. I can’t order return trans. either. My refund is just over 10k but is in line with what we always get.
@31ergimmemoney Did you get the homebuyer credit that you had to pay back or the one that you don’t have to pay back? I got the homebuyer credit in 2010 but I am not supposed to pay that back.
Hey @AmandaTX I am still here in the same boat with you. Filed/accepted 1/30 and still processing. Not able to order return transcript either. This so sucks. Just wondering is your refund on the higher end? Just thinking because of all the fraud prevention maybe they are holding back higher amount refunds a little longer. Mine is over $7000. All my is info is the same as last year. Same address, same dependents, same filing status, same job. Refund is a little higher than last year but only by a few hundred. This waiting game feels like when you play the lottery. You want that jackpot and you keep playing but you know you are never gonna win it.The difference is is that this is my money and I have a refund coming to me. When it’s coming is the question…

idk whys but I called th ira to know y no ddd yet I filed & excepted on 2/7 , spoke to agent who said it was the 11th , that day topic 152 pop up since then, as on the phone agent further states possible under reporting shod recive fund no day provided generic 3week time line saud shldnt delay refund??? what’s goin on

Money was in acct this morningDont go by the orange bar. I hear once they release your funds and send to bank, the orange bar goes away. Always check your bank first! I have a DDD the 15th. No fees taken out, paid them up front. I see they are pretty correct with giving out DDD and it actually being in the bank so looks like I get to go shopping Saturday! YAY!

I received the letter 4464c but on the WMR and the IRS hotline, its still saying that my return is processing and I should receive it within 21 days. It has never changed from that since I filed and was accepted on the 30th. So I don’t know what’s going on.

I just saw something interesting on the IRS website, for those of us tha have received a letter (4464c). I’ve looked at this 3 or 4 times trying to understand it/why/where the **** my refund is.

Anyway, down at the bottom it shows an example of the CP05 letter that some of us got. If you look closely at the example, it looks a lot different from the one that I received (and yours is prob the same as mine) For one, mine certainly doesn’t say “We are holding your refund until we are finished reviewing your tax return.” And in the notes it says yours make look different because each letter is tailored to the individual. There is nothing “tailored” about my letter. It says my, name and SSN at the top, but from there down, its the same as everyone elses.
I’m just trying to prove the thought that this very well may have been a glitch that gave us all these letters. I may be grasping at straws, but with so much horrible speculation going on I’m just going crazy over here.

@AshleyMT I agree. I have not received a letter to date. I have googled this a million times, and all I can come up with are people talking about a “glitch” with the early filers, and many people received letters, but they were basic form letters, no reference codes, nothing.
I know I have not done anything wrong…same return as the last 10 yrs at least. HOH, 2 dep, EIC, CTC, Sch C along with a small W2 from a weekend job…I made about 200.00 more this year total than last year, my refund is 140.00 more than last year.
A lot of us under “reveiew” have had the same returns the last few years. Just doesn’t make sense. My 21 days is over on the 18th. On the 19th, I hpoe to get some info.
I don’t know what to think….I want to believe this thing is going to sort itself out in the next couple weeks MAXIMUM but I know that’s pretty unrealistic. I work with a girl that said she was ‘reviewed’ last year and she said she never had to send anything in and that she got her return 3 weeks after she found out she was in review. I REALLY wish we had more people on here that have been through this and could offer advice. I am a huge googler and this has been pretty hard to research. The evidence of others having been through this is there, but the info on the outcome/timeframe is nonexistent. So frustrating!
I filed and was accepted the 30th. Same return I have filed for years. I have been stuck in processing purgatory since the 30th. I finally broke down and called last week, and was told I was being reviewed, and I would only be put behind a week, and if I didn’t hear anything, to call and make an application with the taxpayer advocate. I ordered an account transcript on the 5th. I received that Saturday. It says the processing date is the 18th, and that I have not filed a return for the tax year of 2012. So I call…I need some sort of proof of filing for my divorce, and this wasn’t going to cut it. So I call, and was told that MOST people who filed in the very beginning were re-sequenced to the 7th, and if WMR says I’m processing, then “by golly” I’m processing.
So, as per the IRS rep’s instruction, I call again, to the taxpayer advocate line. I tell them what I was told. Ms. Francis told me that NO ONE at the IRS can look up anyone’s account before the 21 days is over, and no, she can’t confirm if I was accepted the 30th or the 7th, because 21 days has not passed.
Back to square one.
@Occulus That’s quite possible, although it’s been hinted that my new child has drawn a flag since it’s a new SSN in the system. Although that’s pretty silly since I didn’t have that issue when my first 2 kids were born. Only thing rose I did differently this year was having additional withholdings taken out.

I really believe that the reason that so many are under review is because of the new fraud software programs. If you filed early and especially if you filed early with dependents then you were automatically flagged for review instead of randomly selected. Instead of acknowledging the glitch and doing something about it the IRS is just acting like they were, in fact, legitmate flags.

They told me that it could be a long process also. I think this is ridiculus. I bet 99% of us under review have filed the same way for years and are most certainly not tax frauds. Once again regular people get the boot trying to catch criminals.
I talked to the examination department too. You can be in review under different departments for different things and examination is just one department. Mine is being held for review in a unknown department to everyone I have talked to. The last guy I talked to said sometimes they hold them back for review and then later decide they don’t need to actually review it and release the refund. He also said they may or may not need additional information from me to confirm what I have on my tax return. He said that the people that are held for review are sent letters in batches, and sometimes it can take a while to get a letter. He saw that I already have an application in with the tax advocates for an expedited return and said that was a smart move on my part…that they can help me figure out what is going on with my return etc. etc. until the issue is resolved. Although he gave me hope about having my review be released, he also said that depending on any information they might request from me to verify that it can become a very lengthy process….as in months. I don’t know what to think. I have 3 dependents (all mine) and eic. That;s it. One w2. Looking forward to keeping in touch with everyone on here and getting some support through the process. I always thought it gave a code on WMR or the hotline if you were under review?
My question is..If we are truly under review, shouldn’t it be updating that information on WMR or the IRS hotline? Frankly, I have never seen this many taxpayers under review EVER. This has to be a glitch of some sort.

I called the Examination department and they told me the kinda the same thing. It was NOT showing in her department, did NOT show anything that would make it come to her department. So she did not know why it was in review. However the difference was she told me that she COULD see that it was in review. She did not know why I didnt get a letter or a code. She theorized that it was because of my dependant. She told me that it could take 30 days to resovle and that they may ask for more information. On the other hand she said they might just look at the fact that I’ve filed the exact same way for the last six years and release without a letter or ever asking for more information. I think they should just release all these early filers that are under review before they start on the 8863rs.
I really hope it does not take 11 weeks. I could use the money now. I am a bit nutty about checking to see what is going on but no one will give me any info. I was sctually told yesterday that they can take 20 weeks if they want to.
Still nothing. Since they update weekends too, are those counted towards thr 21 days?

Well, I filed with HRB on 1/30 and accepted 1/30. I had the 21 day message for about a week then it changed to refund when available. I called the IRS yesterday and was told that my return was unpostable due to a missing form (homebuyer repayment) and they were trying to fix it. She said it was in close out status on 2/11 (whatever that means!) and to expect my refund in 6 weeks.
I called…got the 21 day answer and then hung up on…and i was being cordial. I’m one unhappy mama now!

Same here. I filed and was accepted 01/30/13. My update on WMR and the hotline has been the constant 21 days processing and hasn’t changed. This past Saturday, I received the 4464c letter with a 0 code on it. You would think if you are actually under review they would put that on the WMR site or on the IRS hotline. I don’t know though. It is my understanding that most people who got the letter was a computer glitch. I sure hope that’s the case.

Received Deposit at 5am 2/13I recieved my return transcript and it has a processing date of 2/18 on it. Does anyone one know how you can order a transcript with a future date on it? What on earth does this mean?
I filed on 2/1 accepted on 2/1 and been processing since. I did file a injured spouse form so that is why mine are still pending (maybe). I was able to order transcripts on 2/8 and the same day I was told that they have until the 18th to process my return. I do have a small offset under my name and the offset line does not say it was paid yet. I dont know how I can order transcripts and have them not give me any info at all when I call. Anyone find out anything about why they can order transcripts a week ago and still no info?

DDD of 2/15FYI – I had a DD date of 2/13. WMR still showed “Refund Approved” and i DID get my refund this morning. Hopefully the rest of you 2/13ers will too :)
