@31ergimmemoney Did you get the homebuyer credit that you had to pay back or the one that you don’t have to pay back? I got the homebuyer credit in 2010 but I am not supposed to pay that back.
February 13, 2013 at 8:23 pm in reply to: 1/30,1/31,2/1,2/2 users who havent received a DD (only) #8215Hey @AmandaTX I am still here in the same boat with you. Filed/accepted 1/30 and still processing. Not able to order return transcript either. This so sucks. Just wondering is your refund on the higher end? Just thinking because of all the fraud prevention maybe they are holding back higher amount refunds a little longer. Mine is over $7000. All my is info is the same as last year. Same address, same dependents, same filing status, same job. Refund is a little higher than last year but only by a few hundred. This waiting game feels like when you play the lottery. You want that jackpot and you keep playing but you know you are never gonna win it.The difference is is that this is my money and I have a refund coming to me. When it’s coming is the question…
AnonymousThat might be it…
AnonymousI have an advocate but I missed her call ill b calling her back early
AnonymousMy I refund ws in my bank when I woke up today
Anonymousto be honest I thought it might be the unemployment I recived I worked too but out of my unemployment I paid taxes on it
AnonymousThat’s the dept. when your wages reported dont match their record. I know cause I used my last check stub to file my taxes for the last 3 years and I ended up owing about 700 each year. This is my last year. They will pay the owed amount if one is owed and refund u the rest. It didn’t delay my refund the last 2 years, I hope they don’t delay it this year.
AnonymousAnyone here made any progress through a tax advocate or anything?
i got a 4464 c letter. @thisizridiculous – i will take a look at that sample letter to see as well, thanks for finding that!!
Anonymousidk whys but I called th ira to know y no ddd yet I filed & excepted on 2/7 , spoke to agent who said it was the 11th , that day topic 152 pop up since then, as on the phone agent further states possible under reporting shod recive fund no day provided generic 3week time line saud shldnt delay refund??? what’s goin on
AnonymousMe too…had to call about a million times.

Ordered transcript 2/9
dd 2/13
Money was in acct this morningAnonymousDont go by the orange bar. I hear once they release your funds and send to bank, the orange bar goes away. Always check your bank first! I have a DDD the 15th. No fees taken out, paid them up front. I see they are pretty correct with giving out DDD and it actually being in the bank so looks like I get to go shopping Saturday! YAY!
AnonymousWe should get DDD by the end of the week im hoping!
Anonymousmine is scheduled for 2/14 :D
@HollyD
I received the letter 4464c but on the WMR and the IRS hotline, its still saying that my return is processing and I should receive it within 21 days. It has never changed from that since I filed and was accepted on the 30th. So I don’t know what’s going on.
Anonymousyeah and I was being quite cordial!! I couldnt believe it….guess its still hurry up and wait
AnonymousI just saw something interesting on the IRS website, for those of us tha have received a letter (4464c). I’ve looked at this 3 or 4 times trying to understand it/why/where the **** my refund is.
http://www.irs.gov/Individuals/Understanding-Your-CP05-Notice
Anyway, down at the bottom it shows an example of the CP05 letter that some of us got. If you look closely at the example, it looks a lot different from the one that I received (and yours is prob the same as mine) For one, mine certainly doesn’t say “We are holding your refund until we are finished reviewing your tax return.” And in the notes it says yours make look different because each letter is tailored to the individual. There is nothing “tailored” about my letter. It says my, name and SSN at the top, but from there down, its the same as everyone elses.
I’m just trying to prove the thought that this very well may have been a glitch that gave us all these letters. I may be grasping at straws, but with so much horrible speculation going on I’m just going crazy over here.
February 13, 2013 at 3:52 pm in reply to: 1/30,1/31,2/1,2/2 users who havent received a DD (only) #8193AnonymousYes weekends count.
AnonymousMe too….so depressed.
Anonymous@AshleyMT I agree. I have not received a letter to date. I have googled this a million times, and all I can come up with are people talking about a “glitch” with the early filers, and many people received letters, but they were basic form letters, no reference codes, nothing.
I know I have not done anything wrong…same return as the last 10 yrs at least. HOH, 2 dep, EIC, CTC, Sch C along with a small W2 from a weekend job…I made about 200.00 more this year total than last year, my refund is 140.00 more than last year.
A lot of us under “reveiew” have had the same returns the last few years. Just doesn’t make sense. My 21 days is over on the 18th. On the 19th, I hpoe to get some info.
AnonymousI don’t know what to think….I want to believe this thing is going to sort itself out in the next couple weeks MAXIMUM but I know that’s pretty unrealistic. I work with a girl that said she was ‘reviewed’ last year and she said she never had to send anything in and that she got her return 3 weeks after she found out she was in review. I REALLY wish we had more people on here that have been through this and could offer advice. I am a huge googler and this has been pretty hard to research. The evidence of others having been through this is there, but the info on the outcome/timeframe is nonexistent. So frustrating!
AnonymousI filed and was accepted the 30th. Same return I have filed for years. I have been stuck in processing purgatory since the 30th. I finally broke down and called last week, and was told I was being reviewed, and I would only be put behind a week, and if I didn’t hear anything, to call and make an application with the taxpayer advocate. I ordered an account transcript on the 5th. I received that Saturday. It says the processing date is the 18th, and that I have not filed a return for the tax year of 2012. So I call…I need some sort of proof of filing for my divorce, and this wasn’t going to cut it. So I call, and was told that MOST people who filed in the very beginning were re-sequenced to the 7th, and if WMR says I’m processing, then “by golly” I’m processing.
So, as per the IRS rep’s instruction, I call again, to the taxpayer advocate line. I tell them what I was told. Ms. Francis told me that NO ONE at the IRS can look up anyone’s account before the 21 days is over, and no, she can’t confirm if I was accepted the 30th or the 7th, because 21 days has not passed.
Back to square one.
Anonymous@Occulus That’s quite possible, although it’s been hinted that my new child has drawn a flag since it’s a new SSN in the system. Although that’s pretty silly since I didn’t have that issue when my first 2 kids were born. Only thing rose I did differently this year was having additional withholdings taken out.
AnonymousSoppost to be sent out today but still showing approved & not sent
AnonymousI really believe that the reason that so many are under review is because of the new fraud software programs. If you filed early and especially if you filed early with dependents then you were automatically flagged for review instead of randomly selected. Instead of acknowledging the glitch and doing something about it the IRS is just acting like they were, in fact, legitmate flags.
@AshleyMT
They told me that it could be a long process also. I think this is ridiculus. I bet 99% of us under review have filed the same way for years and are most certainly not tax frauds. Once again regular people get the boot trying to catch criminals.
AnonymousI talked to the examination department too. You can be in review under different departments for different things and examination is just one department. Mine is being held for review in a unknown department to everyone I have talked to. The last guy I talked to said sometimes they hold them back for review and then later decide they don’t need to actually review it and release the refund. He also said they may or may not need additional information from me to confirm what I have on my tax return. He said that the people that are held for review are sent letters in batches, and sometimes it can take a while to get a letter. He saw that I already have an application in with the tax advocates for an expedited return and said that was a smart move on my part…that they can help me figure out what is going on with my return etc. etc. until the issue is resolved. Although he gave me hope about having my review be released, he also said that depending on any information they might request from me to verify that it can become a very lengthy process….as in months. I don’t know what to think. I have 3 dependents (all mine) and eic. That;s it. One w2. Looking forward to keeping in touch with everyone on here and getting some support through the process. Good luck to all of us!
AnonymousI always thought it gave a code on WMR or the hotline if you were under review?
My question is..If we are truly under review, shouldn’t it be updating that information on WMR or the IRS hotline? Frankly, I have never seen this many taxpayers under review EVER. This has to be a glitch of some sort.
Anonymoushave a deposit date for tomorrow. (02/15) nothing showing pending yet in my BOA account. let u all know tomorrow!
AnonymousDuece,
I called the Examination department and they told me the kinda the same thing. It was NOT showing in her department, did NOT show anything that would make it come to her department. So she did not know why it was in review. However the difference was she told me that she COULD see that it was in review. She did not know why I didnt get a letter or a code. She theorized that it was because of my dependant. She told me that it could take 30 days to resovle and that they may ask for more information. On the other hand she said they might just look at the fact that I’ve filed the exact same way for the last six years and release without a letter or ever asking for more information. I think they should just release all these early filers that are under review before they start on the 8863rs.
AnonymousI really hope it does not take 11 weeks. I could use the money now. I am a bit nutty about checking to see what is going on but no one will give me any info. I was sctually told yesterday that they can take 20 weeks if they want to.
February 13, 2013 at 1:17 pm in reply to: 1/30,1/31,2/1,2/2 users who havent received a DD (only) #8178AnonymousStill nothing. Since they update weekends too, are those counted towards thr 21 days?
AnonymousI’m waiting with you!I filed feb 4 was accepted feb 4th and all I see is processing. I don’t know about transcripts as of today.I hope this does not take the full eleven weeks
Comments from the the 2013 Refund Hunt by taxpayers who filed with Injured Spouse Form, Form 8379
Another update: I just called the Examination department which is the department she said the return would come to if it is being reviewed. She said my return was not in the department and she did not see anything showing it is coming to her department and she did not see anything wrong either. I told her about the letter and she said she knew returns are backed up and maybe that is why the letter was generated but as of now my return is not in their area. I am really confused now and I will just wait until the 21 day window expires.
AnonymousOh that’s messed up Jessica, it’s sad how rude those workers can be.
AnonymousWell, I filed with HRB on 1/30 and accepted 1/30. I had the 21 day message for about a week then it changed to refund when available. I called the IRS yesterday and was told that my return was unpostable due to a missing form (homebuyer repayment) and they were trying to fix it. She said it was in close out status on 2/11 (whatever that means!) and to expect my refund in 6 weeks.
AnonymousI called…got the 21 day answer and then hung up on…and i was being cordial. I’m one unhappy mama now!
@thisizridiculous
Same here. I filed and was accepted 01/30/13. My update on WMR and the hotline has been the constant 21 days processing and hasn’t changed. This past Saturday, I received the 4464c letter with a 0 code on it. You would think if you are actually under review they would put that on the WMR site or on the IRS hotline. I don’t know though. It is my understanding that most people who got the letter was a computer glitch. I sure hope that’s the case.

February 13, 2013 at 11:45 am in reply to: 1/30,1/31,2/1,2/2 users who havent received a DD (only) #8165AnonymousI filed on 2/1 accepted on 2/1 and been processing since. I did file a injured spouse form so that is why mine are still pending (maybe). I was able to order transcripts on 2/8 and the same day I was told that they have until the 18th to process my return. I do have a small offset under my name and the offset line does not say it was paid yet. I dont know how I can order transcripts and have them not give me any info at all when I call. Anyone find out anything about why they can order transcripts a week ago and still no info?

AnonymousI only check mines once a day…
AnonymousOk so I filed 1/31, accepted same day and its been in pending status ever since. 21 days….blah blah…tax topic 152, etc. I just got a letter 2 days ago (4464c) saying my return is in review, we will contact you if we need more info, wait 60 days, etc. But still when I check WMR, IRS2GO or the hotline, it says we have received your return and it is being processed.
I REALLY want to know if I’m really under review, if its just a glitch, if its just a form letter sent to everyone that has EIC or dependents or whatever. This sucks! Worst tax season EVER.
My stats are refund $8000, EIC, 2 dependents (these are new for this year) no education credits, no schedule C, no 1099
AnonymousYou are checking to often prolly. No worries….i filed on 2/5 and accepted and still nothing at all
February 13, 2013 at 10:57 am in reply to: 1/30,1/31,2/1,2/2 users who havent received a DD (only) #8155AnonymousIt’s good to hear some good news coming from us 30/31st folks. I still have no news… other than I was told I have no holds, reviews, etc. Definitely no offsets so just sitting and waiting. I did finally attempt to order return transcript and it’s not available for me. The rep I spoke with yesterday said I was not resequenced and I started processing on the 1st (filed 31st)… so I really don’t know what could take 2 weeks to process, I do not have a complicated return. However, it gives me hope that so many of you in the same boat are finally starting to get a DDD… or your refund! That’s kind of what I’m hoping… I’ll wake up one day with money in the bank :)
AnonymousI also tried to check the Go app…and no luck
AnonymousI called amjay…got the 21 day speech and hung up on!! And i was cordial….not now im pissed
2013taxpayer I guess we have to wait and just see but I do find it interesting that if you don’t mention the letter they don’t mention it either. I will just hope for the best but thank you for sharing.
called again & told no holds, flags or under review. i didn’t mention the letter either. they’re showing it’s processing. wmr is unavailable for me right now too.
AnonymousI had mine at 6am this morning when I was getting ready for work.
AnonymousI had mine around 11pm last night.
AnonymousI haven’t called yet, because if I get the 21 day speech I will probably be put on the government watch list…JK…LOL
AnonymousPosted this to the feed but I know it goes by really fast. Supposed to get my dd tomorrow 2/14. Checked WMR this am, phone hotline and checked the IRsto goapp. Was able to see that it still says I will get dd tomorrow. Checked the irstogo app and it said THere was a problem with your information please try again later. Yes I am OCDing,
AnonymousI really think this new fraud system automatically flagged everyone that filed early for a review. I’ve file the same way with the same information for 6 years. They should just realase those now that the education credits are starting to process today, that’s just going to clog up the system even more. I have this sinking feeling that those of us under review are going to have to wait till the end of the tax season before we get anything. I havn’t talked to anyone that was put under review and is now out. I called the Tax Advocate yesterday and got a case open but I havn’t talked to the agent in charge, they are suppose to call me back before Friday to take the case to the IRS for expiditied process.
February 13, 2013 at 9:51 am in reply to: 1/30,1/31,2/1,2/2 users who havent received a DD (only) #8144AnonymousI filed on the 30th, accepted on the 30th via TT, Single, simple return. I talked to an actually nice IRS Agent who told me that he didn’t see anything wrong with my Refund, just that it’s taking time with the large amount of refunds. What a relief, was worried that there was something wrong.
February 13, 2013 at 9:50 am in reply to: 1/30,1/31,2/1,2/2 users who havent received a DD (only) #8143AnonymousFiled and accepted 1/30. On 1/31, one orange bar, processing 21 days message. Ordered both transcripts on 2/8. WMR still stuck on one orange bar, same processing 21 days message, no DDD. The transcript thing is a crap shoot…it does NOT mean you will get a ddd within 1-2 days. There are lots of us who have ordered them and 5 days later still have the same status as we had before we could order them. No holds, no offsets, not a complicated return, no education credits…and no magical direct deposit sitting in the bank regardless. Pretty stinking tired of this.
Last year, we did have an offset. That took 6 weeks before the remainder of the refund was direct deposited. Not new to the waiting game but very tired of waiting when there is NO reason to.
I filed a tax return for a friend 5 days after doing mine…she received her refund yesterday morning.
February 13, 2013 at 9:44 am in reply to: 1/30,1/31,2/1,2/2 users who havent received a DD (only) #8142Here is an UPDATE!
Filed and accepted on 2.1
I used HRB at home
I paid fees upfront
Chase bank
No 8863
As of 2.11 about 10:30pm I was able to order transcripts. I couldn’t do it 5 hours prior.
I checked at 5 AM 2.13 and my DDD is 2.15.
I never saw a “still processing” status.
I RECEIVED MY REFUND TODAY. My status bar moved to APPROVED sometime between 2 and 5 this morning.Anonymous@jessica13 I agree it’s time to call and get some answers!!
AnonymousAnyone go into Take action and come out yet? It says if I wish to talk to someone to call. But I am very limited on time frames to call and cannot give up an hour to call them. I filed 1/30. Approved 1/31. Ordered transcripts 2/7. 2/8 went into your tax refund has been delayed. Just wondering if anyone would have any insight.
February 13, 2013 at 9:30 am in reply to: 1/30,1/31,2/1,2/2 users who havent received a DD (only) #8139AnonymousSo Filed on 1/30. Excepted 1/30. Was able to order a return transcript 2/9/12. Only to change my status to “Your refund has been delayed”… anyone else dealing with this?
AnonymousThere is no rhyme or reason….mine was the 5th..accepted same day…nothing here and no transcript im finally calling….well
By the way I still can’t order transcripts yet so I am not done processing I suppose.
Well I called the holds department and acted as if I just wanted to know the status of the return. He looked through the return and he said everything looks totally fine, no holds, no flags, etc just processing. Said they are overwhelmed with returns right now and possible could go past 21 days but I was accepted on 28th so 21st day would be 18th. I never mentioned the letter to see if the system showed anything and he said he saw nothing wrong with the return and the processing of it. I asked if the 21 days message dissapearing and the your return is processing is a good sign and he verified it was a good change in status update. SMH I don’t know what to believe or maybe the review could be over? Let’s just try to keep each other updated the best we can even though we all have different situations we do however have one thing is common in that we have been told we are in review or received a CP05 letter or in my case a 4464c letter.
