Also, I recently read a page on Reddit “supposedly” from an IRS manual discussing PATH release and deposit dates and it stated something along the lines of that for weekly cycles, the funds would drop or the hold release and update, the first Thursday following the 15th of February. Now take that with a grain of salt of course but seems to make sense to me considering last year so I’m hoping for a deposit tomorrow. π€π€

I think it’s likely I may get the funds this Thursday. I’m an 0505. Paid with refund, 5 days early, via TurboTax. Last year, same thing only I filed 3 days later than I did this year and my cycle code possibly reflected that as I was 0705. (I’m almost always 0505 for whatever reason). Anyway, last year my as of was 3/17. Filing and processing dates were both 3/03. Not sure when I got the 846 code but it was dated 3/10. I actually received the funds on Thursday 2/20.
@Traci, @KD: Well. We can’t ALL be crazy, right? Lol. As I was puzzled by the indication that as a weekly, I would update on Friday since I am pretty sure that last year mine took place on Saturday, as well. Guess we shall just have to wait and see!
PATH, filed and accepted 1/19. Cycle code: 20230405. As of and processing dates both 2/13/23. All codes but 846.
Well, Kristy, I have had the PATH message all week long; right before that had one orange bar. Transcripts show return received. My “as of” and “processing” datesr are both indicated as 2/13/23. Cycle code 20230405. No 846 code yet, but all other ones you’d expect to see are there. I’m thinking 2/23 most likely DDD–But if I’m MAGICALLY thinking, lol, then I am hoping for CashApp to stun me with a DDD of 2/13.
What news have you? : -)This year, PATH is scheduled to end on 2/18. First refunds anticipated 2/28.
Last year, the freeze was *supposed* to lift 2/15 but dragged on out until 2/19, instead. The earliest PATH refunds were not supposed to hit until March 1st or 4th–but I got mine on 2/24.
I suppose 2/23 is the earliest PATH refund date possible, for 2023
@quainey: I filed (and was accepted within 20 minutes of doing so) 1/19/23. I have had the PATH message all week long; right before that had one orange bar. My “as of” and “processing” dates on my transcripts this year are both indicated as 2/13/23. Cycle code 20230405.
For comparison, last year I filed (PATH as well) on 1/23/22; accepted 1/25/22. Cycle code 20220505. My transcript as of date was 3/14/22; processing date was 2/21/22. Got my refund 2/24/22.
Thanks for sharing, Kristy. (I’m a Kristi as well lol) Hopefully my experience is as smooth as yours. Fingers crossed!
Mine is half the amount this year in comparison with the last few. Nothing much has changed either, just mo more COVID bennies.
Is it possible for somebody in the test batch who also has PATH credits to get their refund early, also? Before mid-February? As it seems every year, there are always a small amount of people who claim they have received their PATH refunds a bit earlier. My first year in test batch–probably because it is also my smallest refund in years.
I went with Cashapp cuz they offer free filing AND audit protection (which I always get and pay $159 plus SBTPG fees for). So I am getting nearly same refund amount and the only extra fee being taken out is the one from SBTPG. AND I apparently made the test batch–another first–as I flled 1/19/2023, was accepted almost immediately, and as of 1/22/2023, am already at one orange bar!
TurboTax and CreditKarma angered me this year as I was offered the RAL again and would have gratefully accepted except for the fact that my CK account I created to get last year’s RAL and refund was eventually closed after the funds were spent, and CK will not reopen. No other way to receive the RAL except thru CK account. So for the first time in 12 years, I am not using TurboTax.
*shows; *response lol
Well, that IS encouraging news! Thanks for the reponse. :)
My husband is self employed and has no other 2021 income, save for unemployment. Transcripts are fully viewable, with matching refund amount however no 846 as of yet. Likely because we are PATH with EIC, CTC etc.
I checked his account with SSA and it only showes total income earned for 2021; the figure does match up with his SE wages on return. So is this the same? Meaning APPROVED, as you say? And so what does that mean then, actually? Lol. Thanks!
@Danni: Same! Please post the gist of your phone conversation here, afterwards. I used TT, got the advance, filed 2/12 accepted 2/13 (atho TT now says accepted 2/15 smh). STILL have ad of 2/22 and N/A on transcripts; STILL processing with lost bars and TT152 but not amount. Claimed EITC. CTC, unemployment funds, SE and Lookback.
Me too…. Except my TT152 IS gone, as well.
Holy cow @rayman70. SB handling mine, as well. Filed 2/12 with TT fees taken out, accepted 2/13. Look back, unemployment, SE, EIC and CTC. Still waiting with one bar, no movement and NA on transcripts. Scary to think how much longer we could be stuck waiting.
Las Vegas here. NO check yet. MFJ, refund received in February for 2019. Also TT filer who got a refund advance. Under 10,000 AGI. Also an SSI recipient with one dependent. Updated DD info the very first day 4/15 on the portal, but it then eventually changed to mailing me a check 4/24. Guess this was because I had so many conflicting details (see above) to choose from. STILL WAITING , hope to see that check tomorrow-no later than next Wednesday for sure!
@Sade hahaha “at this point it just looks like they are randomly picking names from a jar”
@Sade
It is so weird…I see other people in Florida saying theirs just hit..some guy in Nevada, like me, his came in at 3:15pm with an offset, too! WTF, how do they position us in the queue-what the heck determines this, I wonder?
Thanks guys… I’m in NV, and still no joy..
Honestly, I can’t even begin to imagine just WHAT criteria they DO use, because while browsing another thread, I saw a guy from my same state (Nevada) with TT card, refund advance, 2/26 DDD same as me, who was accepted by IRS 2 days after me on 1/29, AND who had a freakin OFFSET, which recycled him to 2/15/20….and he just got his funds posted at 3:15pm EST!

My glob, it was insane! Beautiful and wondrous and all…But insane! I have lived out here since the start of my first grade year (age 6 in 1981 EEK!), after my family moved to Vegas from Pittsburgh, PA. I am telling you, man: Thursday I woke up to get my 8yr old ready for school, and I thought I WAS back in the Burgh! Total whiteout. Wish I could post pics here.
CCSD (Clark County School District) refused to officially call a snow day, but I made an executive decision and kept my boy home, because seriously? Folk out here already lose their sheet trying to drive in the rain, so snow? NOPE.
Then, CCSD decides around 6PM or so that night to inexplicably cancel school for the very NEXT day on Friday, due to “dangerous icy conditions expected”. Of course, Friday was GORGEOUS bright and sunny and barely brisk. No ice or snow or rain to be found in the valley.
And today Sunday I damn near had to turn my A/C on: super sunny all day and a warm 65 degrees. 70 anticipated by Wednesday. Thanks, Schizo Mother Nature!

Well I am already in Vegas, as I live here. Make sure you bring a parka AND a bathing suit. You just may need ’em both. Weather has been CRAZY AF this last week!
