Got the email saying transmitted 02/06 & my message has updated to 2/10.
Message has changed to the 90 days blah blah message but I have black 0.00 now!
@Bobbo I always call when my message says to so and I just tell the rep that when I check my refund it tells me to call.
Alright he told me my message should update within 24 hours. I’ll check back tomorrow and see what happens. Getting a good rep is 50/50, so we’ll see.
Hey all. I’m also green, finally updated to green Monday I believe. Like someone else said, every year I’ve had the call and press 3 message and I always call. So, on the phone now with a rep.
Last weekend I got my state at 9:40 Sunday night using Netspend. I’ve also received a refund deposit right after midnight, so technically Monday morning. So, I’m sure by Monday morning I’ll have something!
My deposit hit my Netspend around 10:40 PM
Got this email at 7:10 –
“You are receiving this message because you have opted-in for notifications. Your refund is scheduled to be transmitted, or was transmitted, to your designated bank account on 2/13/2019. Please allow 10 business days from that date and verify your designated account information to confirm receipt. “
The website gives me the same message as others with the 2/15/19 date.
Amount is 0 as of this morning.
1-877-423-6711
My message has been updated to “Your tax return has been received and is being processed. Please allow 90 business days to complete processing.”, amount still in green. I’ll update if anything changes.
Alright folks, just called (again), presser 2 and then 2 again. Entered my information into the system, then provided it again once I got a rep. Took about four minutes and I just provided my SSN, name, address and expected amount. She placed me on hold so she could “process my refund”, returned and told me it had been processed and told me to give it 90 days. She told me it shouldn’t take that long, but it could.
I highly doubt it will, but I really dislike that you have to harass Georgia to get anything moved.
Looks like I’ll be calling again tomorrow. I’ll be back to update with whatever I’m told this time.
Mine says the message about calling too, but when I called yesterday she said it was fine and I just had to wait. If it gives you ease of mind, you can still just call and let them know it’s because of the message.
Okay, mine updated with the amount yesterday and the message indicating it’s processing and to call and press 3. I called, she said it appeared in their system yesterday, everything looks good, they’re not able to push through manually like they can sometimes do because it’s so early. Told me to just keep checking back.
Received mine on 2/16 last year.
Same here. Got acceptance notification from TurboTax yesterday, but nothing available on GA website. Also unable to access my account :)
Okay, quick update: Weeks after I was given the same “I’ve released your refund” spiel as everyone else, nothing has changed, my amount has remained in green, and 90 days processing message. I’m off today and decided to call one final time and this time a rep told me there was a glitch and my refund was never actually released. She apologized, released it and told me to look for a change tomorrow as they update overnight. I’ll come back if anything changes.
They did the same thing for me Monday and no change yet 😭
Congrats y’all!
Ms.T – 1 (877) 423-6711 .. Dial 3 twice to get a person quick.
I give up, I’m just going to wait until I get deposit alert on my card. I called again (for the last time) was told they’re just waiting for funds to be released … same thing I was told Monday. Asked why the website doesn’t reflect that and says processing ? No clue 😪
Amount still in green, no letters or update on WMR 😭
Just wanted to chime in, my balance is still in green, no letters 😓
My amount is still green, no letters, but I’m happy to see others having movement and hopefully I can say the same too 😇
I always let them know my message on WMR indicates for me to call.
Also, I always call and dial 3 twice .. my message has always indicated for me to call the fraud line, idk why.
I just called (for the 100th time), she took my info put me on hold and came back and said she processed mu return and give it up to 30 days. I didn’t even ask anything 😳 I’m hoping this means a DDD soon.
Wow, when I click my green balance it says 2/9 with “Individual 500 Return” next to it so I guess I’m resequenced too. This wouldn’t be so aggravating if I hadn’t been talking to reps all week saying nothing was wrong 🙄
I have no unread letters 😭
But congrats to you, I’m happy to see somebody is moving along !
What do you mean by approved letter? What does it say?
You got a GA DDD?
Imagine knowing you’re done processing but still being on this forum like the rest of us 🤔
You’re definitely right, they must be able to see how many times you called. As soon as I confirmed my information she started telling me that everything was okay and to give it a couple weeks. I didn’t even get to ask 😂😂
& in regards to Qushun’s post. My credit is in green, but I was also told that I may still require a manual review hence the message I have indicating to call and dial 3.
I believe we’re all just trying to share information and experiences and exchanging what we’re being told. If you’re struggling to get connected to a person, dial 3 twice. Last week I spoke to three different people and never waited more than maybe five minutes.
Well, I’m calling again on lunch in a moment. I wonder if they keep a log and can see I’m calling for the 100th time 😂
Yeah, this is ridiculous. I would even feel better if some people had gotten their refund, but nope.
Maybe try a local credit union? You can also look for loans that prequalify so you don’t impact your credit .. I know bigger companies like Discover and Capital One allow you to see if you pre qualify prior to applying.
The request refund button is actually available year around and I believe it’s actually moreso for the purpose of businesses and individuals dealing with sale taxes. Here’s to hoping for some movement today!
Jessica-
I checked my email and I got my refund issued notification around 7:30 at night. That was also the end of May, soooooo ..
Yeah, I understand it, but also not everyone had a W-2 issue. So if everything is fine with an account, why not release them? Seems to make more sense then holding everyone’s refunds indefinitely.
It’s also aggravating because all of these other states seem capable, so why is Georgia struggling like this ?
I hear something new everytime, so here’s what my rep Caleb told me –
1.) Everything looks fine with my account. This is the second rep who’s told me this, so I’m happy.
2.) My message is probably because I’m a new filer (second year), and need to be manually reviewed.
3.) They’re not allowed to release funds yet and he doesn’t know when. He said the reason is because they “don’t have everything in their systems yet”. I’m going to assume maybe this relates to the W-2 issue ?& lastly, he told me to call back if I haven’t seen any movement within the next month 🙂

I’m getting ready to call again now, I still have the message telling me to call and dial 3, and I don’t trust it.
Mine is showing in green as well, does that mean everything is good to go?
I haven’t seen anyone from GA post about receiving any money. Plenty of other states have though 😪
If you Google Georgia Department of Revenue Facebook you should find the page.
This is the actual message:
Georgia Department of Revenue
January 18 at 7:11pm ·
DOR will begin processing 2017 individual income tax returns on February 1st – most refunds will be issued in 10-20 days. For more information on tax season and the processing of returns see: https://dor.georgia.gov/…/department-revenue-begin-processi…Department of Revenue to Begin Processing Individual Income Tax Returns on February 1, 2018 | Department of Revenue
Due to the continued threat of tax fraud, and…
DOR.GEORGIA.GOVI used TurboTax to file my returns.
Also wanted to share that if you look at Georgia Department of Revenue Facebook page they posted a status on January 18th saying individual tax returns would begin processing February 1st and most would be issued in 10-20 days.
Couldn’t figure how to attach the screenshot.
This is the message I currently have:
“Your return has been received, and it is currently being processed. Please contact the Department at 1-877-GADOR11 (1-877-423-6711), option 3 to speak to a customer service representative during our normal business hours M-F 8am -5pm.”
Option 3 is Fraud, so I was nervous but had a representative look at my account and said it’s fine. She said it’s just precautionary, and not to worry.
Filed Sunday and got accepted yesterday (1/29). I didn’t get last years until May, but it was also my first time filing in GA, so hopefully this year is better !
Hi Guys,
I figured I would just drop my experience thus far and then let you know how this finishes. I am a new GA resident (moved here middle of last year), so this process is entirely new. I had the message “Your tax return has been received and is being processed. Please contact the Georgia Department of Revenue at 1- 877-GADOR11 (1-877-423-6711) option 3 to speak with a Representative.”
Following the direction I 1.) Called Thursday and spoke with a representative that told me if I didn’t see a change on Monday to call back. 2.) Called back Monday morning and spoke with a representative that told me I should be getting a letter, probably that day or the next. Asked if it was a bad letter, and she told me it wasn’t, but wouldn’t give more information. 3.) Just called back, had a representative tell me she was transferring me to the review department (no clue why), waited twenty minutes for another representative to tell me that it wasn’t the review department and nothing was wrong with my account. He lets me know an adjustment was made to my refund, tells me one or two weeks and I should have my refund. After, I check my status online again , the message now says “Your tax return has been received and is being processed. Please allow 90 business days to complete processing”. I was also able to finally create an online account which it wouldn’t let me do before.
If anything else changes, I will post.
