Filed and accepted 2/12/21. WMR still shows 1 bar (processing) but this morning my refund is pending in my bank account. I pulled up my transcripts and it shows code 846 (deposit) with date 2/24/12 so I assume funds will be available on that date. Not sure why WMR hasn’t updated.

*WMR bars disappeared 2/18
*Transcript showed 570 dated 3/11/2019 on 2/22
*Transcript updated with 971 dated 3/18/2019 on 3/1
*Transcript updated the “as of” date to 4/1/2019 on 4/8
*Called IRS on 3/14 and was told I would receive a letter stating they needed additional 45
days to review our return.
* Tried calling local tax advocate on 3/14 and they told me I must call the National TA line
first. They could only give me information if I already have an open case.
* Called national TA line 3/15. Answered some questions and rep told me that no income
has been reported for me for 2018 so the wages and withholding on our return don’t
match what the IRS. I was transferred to intake, and lady at intake opened case and said
local TA would call me by 3/20. I was never asked about hardship.
* Received cp05 letter 3/19
* Local TA called late yesterday afternoon and told me what she needed from my
employer. I faxed everything to her this morning. I have been trying to call to verify
that she received my fax but I only get her voicemail. I have left a message and will just
call back again tomorrow.I’m just wondering what I can expect next. Do I just wait to hear back from her? Do I have to call her to find out anything or will she update me? How does this work?
Also, another employee came to work today stating she received the same cp05 letter and was also told that there are no wages reported for her for 2018. My boss does not report anything electronically; he sends everything by mail. He says it was mailed in January so I assume our reported wages are sitting in a pile of backlogged mail somewhere.
