Thanks for the heads up! That is crazy. And the press should have been involved it makes no sense for all this to be happening to so many people and seems to be the honest ones. But I’m praying everyone gets theres soon. This is so stressful. I almost feel like if we wait and not call that’s going to hurt us just as much as calling too much. Like we’re I a lose lose situation.
Holy fuck thats ridiculous! Now I wanna call again to see if they need me to verify my ID. Thats crazy. Im 4 months in myself 😔😖
That’s absolutely ridiculous. They told me I was in second stage of waiting but haven’t requested anything from me. Nor sent anything else. How do I know if I’m weekly or not?
Okay, so I finally got my transcripts but I don’t understand the cycle date. What does that mean?
And from what I can tell nothing’s changed on mine since they sent out the notice CP05 March 26th. And Im in the second 60 day period.
Did anybody recieve any updates on transcripts while in these stages? My code still says 570 & 971. 😔😖

I called the 10th they told me they had until 5/19 I still hadn’t heard anything, I called back 5/29 they referred a release/response told me another 60 days.
Which will be towards the end of July. I’m over it all. Tried to get a TA but they keep transferring me to irs. It’s a shit show.@redacted B
Wow, Im sorry to hear that. Which letter/notice did you start with? I only received the one CP05. But I’m still waiting.How long after you guys ordered your transcripts by mail did you get them? Im still waiting on those as well Its been over a week.

Everytime I call to get a TA involved they transfer me to the irs accounting department which tells me the same thing I already know. That Im in my second 60 day wait. Im in michigan so I guess my next step is to try to and fax over the app for a TA. And continue to wait. 😣😖😔
I hope not. Im praying it dont take the full 60 days. 😖 Crazy how they can hold our money but we’d be in jail for not paying taxes.
My 45 days from my CP05 notice dated 3/26 ended 5/10, although I called and they said they had til 5/19. I waited patiently and finally called 2nd time today for them to tell me that they sent a request to the dept to release my refund and/or send me something stating what is going on, but it would take up to 60 additional days before I would know/get my refund.
They never said anything was wrong nor did they ask for verification of id. Didn’t get a TA, but I’m definitely thinking about it. Just frustrated and not getting any real reason or explanation.Disaster this year 😖

5/29 I called again and they said that they’ve had way more than enough time to finish the review and process it. So he was going to do the referral to release my refund and/or send me something letting me know whats going on. Which it could take another 60 days. 😣😣
So my question is did you all have to wait the full 60 days after the referral for your refund? That puts me basically at the end of July. I’ve never had this happen and its extremely frustrating!!I’m not sure if I’m posting this correctly. But I’ve been reading everyone’s stories and figured I’d tell mine.
