According to the IRS and article above dated Feb 25 we all shall start seeing updates within a few days!!!! Everyone that has filed EITC and/or 8863 ALL returns were on hold until 2/25 ! All EITC holds have now been lifted! EVERYONE that filed these forms were in the errors department. Any letters that were genrated were sent automatically when the IRS system detects an error. Due to these circumstances we have only been processing for 3 days!!!
TECHNICALLY we did not start processing until Feb 25 which should finally start giving everyone DDD’s within a few days!!!
According to the IRS 8863 returns were began processing FEB 14, however According to this article http://www.accountingtoday.com/news/IRS-Warns-Problems-Education-Credit-Filings-65757-1.html dated feb 20th 8863 due to problems EDUCATION forms STILL were not updated as of the 20th!! ANY returns containing the EITC in addition to 8863 were held until the 25th!! I understand MANY filers received dd w/8863 ONLY, within the last week! This due to the fact they did not have EITC. According to the IRS dated Feb 8th ALL EITC returns were being held due to FRAUD! Again these holds have been now LIFTED!
Here is a Timline to explain:1/22 — IRS delays filing until 1/30
1/30– Tax Filing officially begins
1/31– IRS delays 8863 Education Credits will be processed 2/14
2/8 — IRS states most EITC will be held due to Fraud
2/14– IRS begins processing 8863 Education
2/20– IRS says 8863 still being delayed due to errors
2/20- ?– 8863 forms fixed
2/25 — IRS states ALL EITC Holds have been lifted
2/26–present — ALL EITC returns begin normal proccessingi filed on 2/23 and got an dd today for the 3/4, do they really deposit on mondays? lol i hope so..
With this letter, is it going to be DD or not?
I used TT to do my return and it was accepted early 1/24, I had the 8863 form which got delayed until 2/14. I got a 4464C letter on the 30th saying I was under review, but don’t understand why I got the letter since my return wasn’t or shouldn’t even been processed. Since then I had the processing bar, and then around 2/14 I had the return processing and I should see something in 21 days with tax topic 22. Now WMR says Return is processing and I’ll see something when available. Am I not getting my refund or something? Every time I’ve called the IRS they don’t tell me anything, and now I’m just trying to figure out what is going on with that.
1st thanks for creating this for 4464C letters I hope more people will post and share experience so we can gain some knowledge.
Hi: My Situation is as follows
1/30 filed turbo tax NO EIC, Married Filed joint return no dependents no education credits.
1/31 Accepted
2/18 Received 4464C letter dated 2/14 generic information saying under review wait up to 60 days no information needed at this time. called Tax advocate said can’t provide any information but to wait it out.
Never able to order transcripts UNTIL LAST WEEK, ordered both still waiting for them to appear in mail.
2/25 Called both Hold and Customer service depts. and was told they have no information, they don’t need
information from me I should just wait it out. It could take up to 60 days, it could take longer, or it could take less. Last rep said it is always best to prepare for worst case scenario and know that it could take a long time, but couldn’t tell me why I how I could expedite it.
NOW – completely lost and confused!My refund status changed from being process you should receive in 21 days & now it says refund still being processed a date will be provided when available..Is this bad? Should I be worried?

accepted 1/24/13got a review letter in the mail 1/2/13 saying I was picked for review, nothing is required for you to do anything at this time.
for 2 weeks now it has been saying still processing, refund date will be provided when avaliable.
was able to order transcript: got that in the mail, but I do not understand it at all.
Ordered another one just in case.Seems like the only 8863 filers to get dd dates are those who used turbo tax….not sure why there’s are getting ran through and ours aren’t….hopefully all of ours will be going through in the coming days!

2/19 – Status changed to “Your tax return is still being processed. A refund date will be provided when available.”
2/25 – I haven’t been able to see the status on the WMR page
2/28 – Finally called IRS and found out I am under review and could be for 4-6 weeks. Still can’t order transcripts. No letters received in the mail.That seems like a pretty long time frame to look over something that simple. I thought they would check for accuracy when they processed it, but apparently not. Hopefully it will be done sooner, but I’m pretty sure it wont.
On a side note, I mailed in an amended 2011 return a week after e-filing my 2012 return and will receive a check for that in less than a week. Maybe filing electronically isn’t the way to go anymore.

1/30 – around 10pm finally got a status on wmr with ‘Return Received’ (1 bar) & still processing
1/31 – ordered acct transcript but couldn’t order return transcript
2/6 – received acct transcript & 4464 c letter (dated 2/4) & has no code on it whatsoever. it had no action required. wmr still the same.
2/14 – wmr had no status bar but still the same msg w/return received.
2/16 – wmr still had no bar but msg changed to Your tax return is still being processed. A refund date will be provided when available. i ordered another acct transcript to see if i get any codes because my transcript had nothing on it…it was blank w/a as of date of 2/18th.
2/18 – wmr still the same…no status bar w/msg. i still can’t order a return transcript.
2/19 – wmr still the same (no bars since 2/16). i still can’t order a return transcript.
2/21 – got acct transcript that was ordered on 2/16 Pic of acct transcript – totally blank just like the first one. exact same thing as the first one. only diff was the as of date. first one was 2/18 & this one is 3/04.
2/22 – Pic of WMR as of today (since 2/16)

I e files on Monday 2/25. IRS accepted the refund same day and today IRS updated WMR to deposit will be sent on Monday March 4th. I used turbotax.
Hello every one I used the HR Block home version Filed on 02/14/13 and was accepted the same day, and I have EIC, 8863 FORM, AND THE CHILD TAX, and I got a ddd of 03/04/13. hope this helps

I’m in the same boat. I used H&R Block, they held my tax return until Feb 14th and got accepted the same day. I had the education credits and EIC….I’ve been stuck on processing for the last two weeks. It’s frustrating to see a lot of other people who had the 8863 issue get dd dates or there refunds already….what a mess.
I used HRB software and filed on 2/8, on 2/9 got a email that stated I had to wait until 2/14 due to form 8863. Still no DDD. I called IRS last night as I need my transcripts for school and the gentleman first told me my return had not even been recieved, then he said it hasnt been processed and to allow 3 to 6 weeks, only to turn around and tell me that if I haven’t heard anything by 3/8 to call them back. Just checked WMR, still no change.

I also used HRB, filed Feb 9, accepted feb 15th with education credits. still only one orange bar “received”.
I called HR, same thing, “wait the 21 days’. I hope i wake up to good news sooner than that!filed 1/23

Remarks: was told today it was in an error queue and is now processing and can take up to 4 more weeksAlmost the same. Still waiting and today is 2/28, just checked and no change (yet). Filed before the 14th of Feb, got message 2/14 saying IRS accepted (I had been waiting on Ed Credit forms) and so I hoped that now that is has been 2 weeks from then, it might finally show as accepted, but it still has not. My boss used Turbo Tax , also had ed credits and filed on the 14th and already got her refund this past Friday. It is so frustrating to not see progress or an explanation. All we can do is hope and pray and wait and see. Please post if your status changes and I shall try to do likewise.
Filed 1/29 – Accepted 2/14 – processing 2/15 – no credits besides 8863 – one bar, processing, 21 days, refund amount all shown until AM on 26th – AM 26th no bar at all, refund when available, no refund amount – still that way.
Called AM 26th – told all ok no errors or holds or reviews still processing, just glitch – info probably back on 27th.
Called PM 27th – got a real gem of a lady (snark) who got VERY snippy when I told her I was calling because my info wasn’t back up. Was told I was in reviews, had more than one error, had a schedule B that held up my return past the 14th, that my return had only started processing again on the 25th, and that the WMR system had be lying to me because I “checked too many times” and “that’s what happens, check too much and it will give you false information.”
Called PM 27th – after looking up schedule B and going WTF?! because I don’t have anything related to it. Called again. told all ok, no errors or holds or reviews, still processing and have been since the 15th.WMR update on 2/28 – Still no bars, refund amount, or DDD.

I filed on Jan 30 accepted Feb14 no DD yet just accepted with bar. I called yesterday and they told me they started processing Feb 15 I just have to be patient it should be updated within 21days.

Anyone filed with HR Block either at home or office and have the 8863 form get a DD date yet? I filed 2/11 was accepted 2/15 and my WMR just has the 1st bar in Processing. EIC, 8863, 1 child.

I checked the website and it now no longer shows that I filed at all. I have heard that this could be a good thing… but the phone still says I’m processing and there is no change at the bank. Should I worry?
I don’t know about the rest of you guys… but the 21 days are approaching very fast… and I don’t want to still be waiting when friday rolls around.

This is some b*ll s**t and why can’t it be direct deposit I am the only of my friends and family that have gotten this letter. If my address and job is the same what is the damn problem ?
finally was able to request refund transript hour or two ago, hoping for DD fri or sooner but will NEVER be going to hr block after this year, they lost a 10 year loyal customer
Yeah… I received a CP05 notice 2/17 dated for 1/25 and still on no eta, DD will be available whenever I get one… grr so frustrating!

I’m like many who have been lurking here for a while and figured I would share my update with everyone. Filed on 1/28 and held until 2/14. Have been checking daily several times to see any updates. Finally tonight, I am able to order both transcripts, but WMR shows 1 bar with the same general message most get with no DDD listed other than the 21 day crap. Hopefully this comes comes to an end soon, tired of this government mess. Filed as HH with EIC and EC. Hope everyone recieves due diligence on this one.

I had the same thing happen to me. Then two days later i had a direct deposit date! I hope its the same for you! GOOD LUCK
No waiting for wells fargo. As soon as the irs sends the money its available immediately. For those waiting for fees to be taken out by another bank as soon as that bank sends them the money it works the same way. No processing. Its just like walking into the bank and depoiting cash into your account yourself.
With this being the case and all of you having fees taken out have been told by your 3rd party bank they recieved it today not having a dd til tomorrow does that mean the irs will send mine straight to my bank tomorrow with my ddd being 2/28 and i paid my fees up front?
Have you received a DDD for anytime in March yet? And if so, when did you file?
I filed 2/4 but was accepted 2/14 because of 8863. I was only able to order my Account Transcript and was unable to order the Return Transcript. Should I try to call the IRS to find out if I’m in the errors department? or do I have to wait the official 21 days before they can tell me anything?

the cics.sbtpg.com website works w TurboTax. That is the bank TT uses to receive tax refunds & take out there fees. After IRS deposits with them they then remove fees and forward over to your bank. Not sure if H&R or other services utilize that bank. Maybe others here can provide feedback. If you used TT you can log into site using your SS#, filing status & refund amount to see if IRS has released your funds. WMR will drive you insane checking it!!!!

How did you get that information? What is this website all about and how do you use it? Do you have to be a client or is there another way?
My husband and I filed on February 1 and because of that education credit it wasn’t accepted until February 14 and it’s been on the processing bar the entire time. There has been no change. We called today and got the runaround and weren’t able to get a ddd… I’m really starting to be concerned because we haven’t gotten the great news that everyone else seems to have gotten about this week at some point. Should I do anything? Any insight? Married filing jointly, EIC, Child tax credit and education credit.

Please, let’s all FIRE THEM ALLHi All….anyone got good news for us that have been on hold/review since 2/15? I filed 1/30, no 8863 or Eic. Called IRS yesterday….told that I was randomly put on hold/review since 2/15…no reasons, no red flags, just “random” act of kindly not caring, I suppose…lol
I filed on 1/30/2013 with H&R Block online program. My return was held until 2/14/2013 since I had form 8863. I was accepted on 2/14/2013. When I check WMR all I get is one bar, processing return and the 21 day message. I called the IRS earlier today and the rep I spoke to could not find my return. He told me to call 800-829-0582 ext 362 to see if maybe they had pulled for review. So I called again about 30 mins ago, I held for 23 mins, but the rep was very nice. I told her I was nervous that I was being audited and she started to laugh. She said very unlikely, she said I know there is a lot of rumors out there that we are denying doing more audits then previous years. She said its not true, although we have had several glitches and letters being sent out by accident. She said not to worry they are back on track now. She told me all she could see is that I was processing and she could 99% assure me that I would have my return no later than 21 days from being accepted. I can live with that, 3/7/2013. I would rather wait another week than not get it all or sometime in the summer, lol. I hope this helps anyone that’s situation is similar to mine. Good Luck, I hope everyone gets their refunds soon.
i have d/d 2/27 and monies are there today, this is shock because
i was 1/28 filer 8863, with only processing and many phone calls to irs
to just keep hearing wasnt processed until 2/14 and to wait up to 21 days was

No, WMR still shows approved. I checked on the cics.sbtpg.com website (filed thru TT) and it shows my $$$ was sent to Wells. It must take them another to post so it;ll probabaly come on my scheduled DDD which is tomorrow, 27th.
QUESTION…HAS ANYONE BEEN TOLD THAT THERE WERE ISSUES WITH THEIR REFUND POSTING?? IF SO WHAT HAPPENED??

I filed on February 8th, I had the education credit, so my returned was not received until February 16, it is still showing “We have received your tax return and it is being processed”.

I think the IRS don’t have the money to pay us and that’s why they made up all the codes and errors, i’ve noticed that everyone on this site has pretty much filed the same way every year? It is impossible for millions of people to be in error….. So i have a remedy for everybody , i know we all are late on our bills, mortgage car payments, loans and etc… But my words to you all is just have faith because there’s definetly a GOD, and he will work everything out!

Called IRS: 2/21 and was told that I wasn’t accepted on 1/25 because they didn’t process until 1/30 and that
form 8863 didn’t process until 2/14. However, my return didn’t get “accepted” until 2/21 and that
I would need to call 21 days from that date (3/14) to receive any other information about my return.
Transcript: Ordered on 2/21
DDD: Woke up Saturday, 2/23 with DDD of 2/27. I spoke with one of my banks (Navy Federal Credit Union) and
was told that the deposit was pending for release on tomorrow, 2/27. The other bank is Wells Fargo, so
I know I won’t see that until tomorrow morning, as well.Filed taxes on 2/11 checked wmr on 2/13 i had one bar with recieved and processing then on 2/14 i went ghost on wmr then on 2/21 the one bar came back with recieved and processing called irs today 2/26 rep said they didnt recieve my tax return till 2/21 so idk wats going on do anyone know anything that will ease my mind

We filed the 21st, accepted the 30th. We haven’t gotten any letters. Guess its my turn to fight with the IRS over the phone. ughh. This is ridiculous!
Yes I have aware of this problem with the EIC missing info it has caused a big slow down in processing
