Same here! Filed and accepted on 2/16 with one bar on WMR. Hoping I wake up tomorrow morning with a DD. I only filed the recovery rebate so my return is very simple. Good luck!
@Stace87, if you ID verified this week, you’ll probably receive a ddd on next Saturday. That’s what happened to me. I ID verified on 2/18 and received my direct deposit on 3/2
Hey @Rusty, Taylor is right! You will need 2018 and 2019 tax returns. The questions are extremely basic: like address, parents’ names, banking info and total expected refund amount. My verify phone call took no more than 10 minutes! Good luck!
@ddddd: no problem! The crazy thing is I filed on February 19th last year and received my returns on 3/4. Which is almost the exact same ddd for this year. Crazy how it took a less than 2 weeks to get my money last year…. but an entire month to receive it this year. I will never ever ever file early again! Lol please keep me updated on your progress! @ddddd
@thicks, call me crazy but if a rep is removing a freeze that’s allowing my return to finish processing: I consider that “processing my return”. We’re not here to get technical, so I will let the situation go lol.
Based on my experience, if you verified this week, you will receive a ddd next weekend! Good luck and *fingers crossed* 💕

@thicks, please don’t discredit my post. Obviously my rep did something because I got my ddd a week later after I verified. You don’t know anymore than the rest of us. Have a good day!
The letter contains a special code that will be used to verify you. I suggest calling to verify because the reps are literally processing your returns over the phone for you. Which means your return is not waiting in queue line to be processed. Hope that makes sense!
I ID verified 2/18, which was on a Tuesday Apologies for the confusion. I called and asked, was told that they sent me a letter. Got the letter on the 17th and called the next day.
I verified last Tuesday and my ddd is 3/2!!! 🎊 Current wmr status says “return is being processed”
@Taylor: omg Hi, I thought about you the other day! Thank you and so glad that you got the verification process out the way! You’re next to get that ddd! I’m just grateful that we only had to verify and not a full blown review! Those people definitely got the worst end of the stick.
@dddd Thank you! You’re definitely getting a ddd this Saturday!
@dddd: yes my wmr said the same thing after verifying. I verified on 2/18 early in the morning. I made sure to call because when you call over the phone, the reps are literally processing your returns on the spot. This has been the WEIRDEST tax season ever. So glad it’s almost over!
After a long journey of panic, frustration, and anxiety attacks…. I woke up to a DDD for 3/2/2020 on wmr!!! ❤️ Crazy thing is I had to ID verify on last Tuesday! It took about a week for me to receive a DDD. Another crazy thing is that I thought I was weekly!! I’m so happy and excited, I can cry! Thank you Jesus!! 🎊🎊

February 21, 2020 at 9:47 am in reply to: Still Processing – ID Verify was an easy process! #4364706Thanks everyone! They sent me an ID verify letter in the mail. Basically saying for me to call them ASAP so they could continue to process my returns.
February 21, 2020 at 8:09 am in reply to: Still Processing – ID Verify was an easy process! #4364471Update:
my status finally changed from “still being processed” to “your return IS BEING PROCESSED”!!!! Only 2 days later from verifying!! Whoop whoop!!! This is a small victory for me, but tells me that my money is on its way!!!
I’m happy ❤️🎊This has been the weirdest tax season. Why are so many people getting ID verified this year? Doesn’t make any sense at all. I feel this is some sort of stall tactic that the IRS is starting to use. Darn it
Hey guys, I have “your return is being processed” and just received my id verify letter today. What kind of questions do they ask and how long did it take to receive your funds?? So ready to get this tax season over with. It’s been the worst 😩
UPDATE: My transcripts has the 846 code but no ddd beside it. Finally got a valid IRS rep to tell me that although I have the 846 code, the reason there is no ddd is because they sent me an id verify letter. She said my return was approved but can’t be released until after I verify. WTF
Hey guys just an update: I’ve so far had the “still processing” message for 3 weeks now. I just received my transcripts this morning and they are BLANK! Literally filed my taxes on 1/22 and accepted 1/27. I think Still processing means exactly what it says…. your return hasn’t even started processing or it’s not finished.
If you look through the countless forums on Facebook and online, the mass majority of filers has either PATH or “still processing”. There’s no way the IRS will decide to audit all of us at the same time. Do you guys know how much time and how much further behind that would put the IRS? Not even including the work load. It just does not make sense logically. Let’s think with our head and not our emotions people.
My mother’s friend works for the IRS and has so for 12 years. She told my mom that ALL LETTERS (so far) HAVE BEEN SENT OUT BY THE IRS. My mom told her how I’ve been so nervous and she told me to calm down, if I haven’t received a letter than I’m fine.
Just thought I would share. I totally forgot my mom’s friend works for the IRS. Silly me.
* don’t know how true this statement is, just thought I would share.
People should relax and let the IRS do their job. It’s still early in tax season, and everyone knows that early filers always get the worst of the bunch.
I’m just thankful for the nice representative who told me what my hold up was and what was causing the “still processing” message.
If it’s hurting you so bad (like it did me), it doesn’t hurt to give it a try and call.
So, I put my pride aside and called the IRS just now. I talked a lady and she actually looked into my account. She noticed that my address was different from last year, so she updated my address. She also noticed that I had education credits.
She said that the IRS is holding some education credits until the Feb 15, and at this moment that’s why I’m receiving the “still processing” message.
She gave me a disclaimer that anything can change between now and after my 21 days is up, but at this moment the education credit is what’s “currently” holding my return at a stand still.I was so shocked yet relieved that she actually took the the time to look into my account and relay so much information to me.
** Just wanted to give some insight, in case someone is in the same situation as me. Have a good day everyone ❤️
(I have no child or EITC credits. Just income and education)Disclaimer: just realized I have a lot of typos in my last post. Please disregard those, as I was typing while finishing a bowl of oatmeal. Lol
@Taylor, I wouldn’t panic unless you receive a letter in the mail or a “Take Action”’code on your WMR portal. Majority of people have this “still….” message and there’s no way that there is something wrong with everyone’s returns.
From a logical stand point, I feel that the IRS had a massive amount of early filers this year and just simply was not ready. That’s why some people who have filed later are already getting deposit dates, because the IRS backlogged or resquenced the ones that filed early.
I’ve never filed this early ever. I normally file around mid Feb and would always get my returns back in exactly 2 weeks. But because I filed early, with the majority… I feel that my return has been basically lost in a pile it resequenced for a later date.
My analogies are only assumptions, but based on my observations and taking to other people, I believe this is exactly what is happening. SMH
Hi guys, the IRS accepted my returns on 1/27 and a few days later my bars disappeared. Here it is 2/10 and my bars still have not came back, but I also have not received a letter in the mail so I’m highly confused and aggravated at this point.
I’m in various forums on line and majority of people’s bars are missing. There’s no way that the IRS will have millions of us ID verify at the same time.
I’m praying that I receive some type of update this week, since next Monday marks 21 days for me. This is my first time filing this early, and now I regret it. I’ve never ran into these types of issues before.
