Well got our stimulus, but still no refund…or letter/notice.
Again transcript stated we should have gotten notice/letter 4/6/2020
Called local TAS, but the voicemail says we’ll try to get back to you in 3 days.
Obviously, cannot get a hold of anyone at IRS.
our processing date still says 3/30 so I feel like our return is just sitting there.Filed and accepted 2/13
Bars vanished a few days later.
Codes:
150
806
766
768
570 3-30-2020
971 4-6-2020I have not gotten a notice yet. And my transcript hasn’t updated at all, aside from “as of date” going to 4/27. Tried calling IRS, but no live assistance available. I am at my wits end, dealt with this last year too (didn’t get our refund last year until August) and nothing has changed from last year to this year.
August 9, 2019 at 7:47 am in reply to: We have received your tax return and it is being processed. #4331237Finally!!! I think my journey this year is over. Transcript updated this morning with 846 “refund issued” and a date of 8/14/2019, and a little over 160 in interest to be credited as well.
I’m not sure if having my Senator’s office submit a Congressional Inquiry helped or not.
Anyway, for future people in my situation or similar.
Filed 1/28 — Accepted, Processing Bars.
Bars Gone by 1/29.
March 7 — LTR 4464C
— called IRS several times to no avail —
End of April got Taxpayer Advocate
Mid-May had to verify income.
Mid-June had to verify income, again.
July 12th, got a second 570 code — Could not get a hold of anyone at IRS or TAS, so contacted my Senator’s Office (July 29th), they started Congressional Inquiry.
8/9 Transcript Updated with a code 846 — Refund Issued.I honestly don’t know what the best course of action to take is.
If it weren’t for my tax advocate, I may not know what was going on in the first place.
But, once you have an advocate you can’t talk to anyone at the IRS, well you can…they just won’t be able to do anything for you.I don’t know if the pressure of a Congressional Inquiry being filed on my behalf helped or not, but I kind of feel like it did. So, perhaps if all else fails get a hold of your Senator (just pick one to handle it, or you’ll congest the system).
Good luck to everyone — I will update when/if my refund is actually deposited.
August 7, 2019 at 8:42 am in reply to: We have received your tax return and it is being processed. #4331215Finally, Advocate called me — And I missed the dang call.
Said that my Refund was Pending Release — Didn’t explain what that means, or why it got held again in the first place etc.
They’re calling me back allegedly on the 12th.August 2, 2019 at 8:12 am in reply to: We have received your tax return and it is being processed. #4331135No update on Transcript — Other than as of date went from July 29 to August 19.
No update on WMR.
Still no returned phone calls from TAS or personal advocate.Senator’s office called me back though and have opened an official Congressional Inquiry, they give the agency 30 days to reply to them though…so who knows how long I’ll be waiting to just hear what is going on.
July 29, 2019 at 3:48 pm in reply to: We have received your tax return and it is being processed. #4331017Still no update on WMR or Transcript and no call or answer from TAS.
SO, I contacted my Senator’s Office via email form Friday, got a call from the office today. Sending in an Authorization to release information and keeping my fingers crossed something can be figured out. Will update as I get any updates.
July 25, 2019 at 7:54 am in reply to: We have received your tax return and it is being processed. #4330946No call, no update.
I’ve been trying to get a hold of my tax advocate since July 12th, left messages with the manager at that office and everything. NO ONE has called me back, supposed to call ME the 16th and nothing. I still have no clue what is wrong now, as I was told it was income verification and we submitted everything TWICE.
Transcript and freaking SSA has income in their systems now, I assume since it’s on my transcript and SSA account page, finally. SO idk.I’m so emotionally exhausted from dealing with this bullshit for months. Filed January 28th and still waiting…seriously, wtf.
Long story short, I’m still being dicked over.
July 22, 2019 at 7:11 am in reply to: We have received your tax return and it is being processed. #4330886Another Monday, no change for me on WMR or Transcript.
Hopefully, by some grand miracle, someone from TAS calls me back and lets me know what the heck is wrong this time. I’m not going to hold my breath though.Filed 1/28
Refund was held for income verification.
Income now reflected on Transcripts and with the Social Security Administration, also via letters/w2s we sent in twice.
TAS said we’d have our refund by July 16th, (they were supposed to call me that day too)
No refund, No call…just another 570 popping up on Transcript 7/12.July 19, 2019 at 8:09 am in reply to: We have received your tax return and it is being processed. #4330816Does the “As Of Date” mean anything in particular?
My original as of date was June 3, then July 1st. Now saying July 29th…July 19, 2019 at 7:58 am in reply to: We have received your tax return and it is being processed. #4330814@redacted B — Nope, didn’t get any other codes aside from generic tax topic 152 message.
After I got the letter 4464C, I just started reading everything I could about the IRS codes etc and attempted to memorize so I could understand what I was dealing with and what to ask about during phone calls. Lot of good it did me though, because here I am almost 8 months later with no refund.I think the most frustrating thing is if there is an issue, I’m more than willing to fix it (as I am sure everyone here is also) but have to wait around for someone from TAS or IRS to do something, then tell me what to do, then wait for them to do something else…
July 19, 2019 at 6:49 am in reply to: We have received your tax return and it is being processed. #4330811Well, no update on my tax transcript or WMR.
@Kyle , I filed 1/28 — have had code 152 on WMR since the day after getting accepted, no bars.
We had to verify our income though, I’m sure the procedures for self-idenification and income verification differ somewhat.
Filed 1/28 — bars vanished with just 152 code on there.
April (don’t know date off hand) got LTR 4464C
— Phone Calls made to IRS —
Mid/End April got a Tax Advocate, was told would get refund 10 days after first call… -_-
Mid-May submit income verification documents.
Beginning of June, original advocate placed on extended leave.
Mid June, told by new person (taking over for original advocate) she had to resubmit my income verification.
End June/Beginning of July — Told we’d have a call meeting on July 16th and I’d definitely have refund by now…No refund, just another code 570 (7/12).
No phone meeting, sat around all day (7/16)
And, no new updates today…July 18, 2019 at 6:53 am in reply to: We have received your tax return and it is being processed. #4330796@redacted B I really really hope yours comes through for you. I think code 9001 relates to identity theft/verification…not sure, I’ve read so much stuff trying to figure out codes. I’m sorry for all you’ve gone through and don’t apologize for the rant, I think everyone here and maybe everyone just finding this forum in their quest for answers feels similar stress and perhaps loneliness in the situation. (Or at least I did — I didn’t realize I wasn’t the only one being dicked over this year until I stumbled onto this forum). I wish the best outcome for you today.
@Frank it is entirely possible, they are scamming us…I mean it wouldn’t be the first time that the Government enacted laws that directly led to the desolation of middle to lower income families. I confided in a very close friend about what was going on with our refund and he sent me a news article about our Government running out of money. Saying they don’t have it to give, smh. I said something along the lines of, “it isn’t my fault they can’t manage their finances…” and probably followed up with a “b*** better have my money soon.”July 17, 2019 at 1:12 pm in reply to: We have received your tax return and it is being processed. #4330785@simba I think it depends, my transcripts update over Thursday Night/Friday morning, but between codes can be a long wait depending on how fast someone gets to your file and starts working on it. I only know that’s when mine are to update because of my first Advocate.
I check every Friday morning though to see if I have a change.
My new personal Advocate has yet to get a hold of me(supposed to call me yesterday, ugh), but I got through to the national number and she just said that the IRS and TAS have been backed up since the beginning of the season because of the new tax laws.
I honestly think thats just what they’ll tell everyone, because I know our refund was originally held for income verification, and we’ve verified twice now…and SSA has verified our income, but still nothing…July 17, 2019 at 6:53 am in reply to: We have received your tax return and it is being processed. #4330773Well I’m livid. TAS scheduled a phone call with me a month ago for yesterday, waited around all damn day and no phone call. Tried calling them, their main office…no one answered.
I am baffled, I am beyond stressed. Since this all started I have developed gastritis with stomach ulcer and am losing hair. I guess beyond stressed is an understatement.
My heart goes out to all of you who are being dicked over this year, it is ridiculous that we are almost 8 months into the year and so many have not received their rightful refund, even (especially) after jumping through all the hoops we were told to jump through.
July 16, 2019 at 9:17 am in reply to: We have received your tax return and it is being processed. #4330739I have been calling TAS since Friday, left messages. No reply yet.
I’m due to have a phone call today with my personal advocate, who assured me last month that by the time she called today I’d have my refund. No luck.
No movement on WMR, transcripts finally updated reflecting income and Social Security has verified income. I don’t understand why the hell a 570 code showed up again (Friday 7/12) we’ve personally submitted income verification twice (May and June) and now with their (IRS) own system reflecting the same information and Social Security also verifying it, I have NO clue why we got another 570.I’ll update after my call with TAS.
Originally filed January 28th. At this rate I feel like we’ll be getting our tax return by next filing season…fmlJuly 13, 2019 at 10:18 am in reply to: We have received your tax return and it is being processed. #4330683Well a total of 22 calls went out to the IRS, TAS, and various other numbers given to me yesterday, as well as being on hold a total of 4 hours.
I cried from 530am until I eventually passed out at 8.I filed 1/28.
Accepted and processing bar appeared the next morning.
Then two days later nothing, just generic 152 message.
Waited about two weeks and no update, so called IRS. Couldn’t tell me anything.
Received a Letter 4464C. No clue what to do, called again.
By April had nothing, so plead my case to TAS, got an Advocate who promised me we’d have our refund in 10 days, after I submitted income verification documents.
Nothing. Called my Advocate towards the end of May and got a machine saying my advocate was on leave until June 4th, called back June 5th and still same message on machine.
Got a call from a Woman who said my advocate had been placed on extended leave and she’d be handling my case. July 1st, she called back after I got a 290 code on my transcript and said they flagged us for income verification, AGAIN. But that she showed that we had already submitted and re-submitted our income verification. She said our next call date would be July 16th, and I would definitely have our refund by then.LO AND BEHOLD, I woke up yesterday morning checked our transcript and have ANOTHER 570 code…and as I said at the beginning my attempts to call TAS and IRS proved pretty much useless and emotionally exhausting.
I didn’t get any information, but I did get some pretty amazing stick figure drawings done, depicting the various ways in which the IRS was killing me.
I suppose I just wait now for my Advocate to call me Tuesday, though I was hoping to figure out why the f*** I have another 570 and begin the process to get it remedied as soon as possible.
