SBTPG has received and sent my refund.
It depends on when the IRS actually sends it since it is a “sent BY” date. It depends on how quickly your bank posts it. Depends on how you filed. Even with all of that information, we still wouldn’t be able to give the exact date.
I will agree with @Don and say that most people I see receive it before their DDD. Latest I would think you would receive it would be this Friday, but don’t take that as law.
Not to tear the IRS Call Center apart, but I can guarantee you that chances are low that you’ll receive any accurate information by calling due to all the temps that they have. I’ve worked in a call center for HealthCare.gov and the new hires when they got stressed would say what needed to be said to either shut the person up or to make them happy.
Now, on that note, I have no idea what sort of software the IRS Call Center is using, so it may just be that whoever input all the info into the software did so poorly and the call center new hires just honestly have no way to get the information. Tax season is hectic for all involved. Remember that those you speak on the phone with also have lives and are also going through the motions with their taxes as well.
You should be able to add a security exception to your browser. If you’re using a computer, click on the “Advanced” button, confirm the security exception, and you should be good from there.
Under that section there should be four different columns. One is “Funding Source” and right under that should be “Federal Income Tax”.
2nd Column – “Expected Amount” Under this should be the amount you’re receiving from your federal refund.
3rd Column – “Received Amount” Under this should be the amount that SBTPG has received. For example for me it’s $0 because they haven’t received my refund yet.
4th Column – “Date Received”
If your “Received Amount” still shows 0 then they haven’t received your refund yet.
Is anyone receiving an “Error 500” while trying to use the Kentucky “Where’s My Refund” tool?
There is a specific forum dedicated to state refunds and within that one there is a sub-forum for Georgia :) Think you’ll find better help there.
@Carrie101 We’re all human! Most everyone has fallen into believing something on the internet that isn’t necessarily true, whether it’s tax related or not. When one is anxiously waiting for a refund, or awaiting info at all related to the IRS in my opinion, it’s easy to stress and then fall into that :)
Just checked WMR and refund has been accepted!
No EITC or ACTC
DDD 2/15/2017
Still will never understand the IRS processing. Seeing some people that filed same day as me receive a DDD of 2/10/2017 with deposits having already been made.@Lurker Weird. It’s telling me WMR is unavailable right now. I’m assuming it’s because of the updates, but still.
I encourage you to look at this link about EITC eligibility!
https://www.irs.gov/uac/check-your-eligibility-for-the-earned-income-tax-credit
There is also a link at the bottom of that page to tool to help determine if you are eligible for the EITC! Do keep in mind though, you still may have not claimed the EITC if you filled out your form in such a way that made you ineligible.
Though the EITC often is more prominent with filers with children, single filers can still claim this credit.
The PATH Act (which is the act that resulted in these delays) was passed on December 18, 2015. I’m not completely sure if this situation was in affect last tax season because it didn’t affect me resulting in me not paying it any mind.
To my knowledge no one receiving EITC or ACTC has received or will receive their refund before the set date.
Whoever told you that they’re delaying school credits was most likely a temp or an employee that wanted to get you off the phone.
There should be an update on “Where’s My Refund” tonight going into tomorrow morning for those receiving weekly updates. I can’t tell you which you are, but since it’s been a while, my opinion is to go with the more optimistic route and check “Where’s My Refund” tomorrow morning.
If you haven’t received any sort of updates on “Where’s My Refund” or haven’t received your deposit by next Wednesday, Feb 15th, I would encourage you to call the IRS to check on the status of your refund :)

Has anyone received their direct deposit yet today?
Having no issues over here at all. May be your Internet Service Provider or issues with your router.
@Lucky_Smile There’s an entirely different forum called “State Refunds” that you should be able to discuss the state refunds for North Carolina :)
February 9, 2017 at 9:50 pm in reply to: Anyone filed and accepted on 2/3? I still have 1 bar #4165609@Meeky You won’t receive your refund until AT LEAST February 15th
@Fish My recommendation would be to go ahead and start a thread then :)
