I filed and was accepted on 01/31 with turbo tax. On 02/04 I updated to the path message on wmr. I only check wmr on Saturday or Sunday. Trying to be patient this year instead of stressing like I have every year before. Good luck to everyone and I’ll update when I get an update.
My aggravating tax timeline……
Filed/accepted 1/19
Called IRS 2/12
Found out I was resequenced to 2/1
Called IRS 2/23
Was told behind 2 weeks so wait
Later on 2/23 I lost bars on WMR
Called IRS 2/24
Was told letter was mailed on 2/12 if not received by 2/26 to call
Called IRS 2/26
I hadn’t received letter yet and was told to suck it up and wait
On 2/29 I received letter about 8962 and 1095A and it was actually dated 2/26 not 2/12 (strange but whatever its coming from the IRS)
Faxed all info requested 3/1
Called IRS on 3/8
Was told not to call again that it’d be 6 weeks from date received and calling is a “waste of government resources”
Called IRS on 3/15
Was told it was back in processing to wait 2 weeks before I called again
On 3/18 tax topic came back and said refund was received and being processed.
Today I woke up to WMR showing refund was approved and DDD for today. Money was already in my Chase account.I didn’t have a TA and went from nothing on WMR to oh we are depositing your money today.
From the day I faxed papers until I got an update was 22 days. Mine was faxed to the Austin number. I hope everyone gets a long overdue update this week. It has truly been the worst tax season thus far for almost everyone. Hopefully now my migraines will stop and stress levels will lower a bit.Well I didn’t provide my bank info to them technically. I provided it to the IRS for return purposes. They send your money to their bank where they get their payment then that bank forwards the return to you from what I understand so why should they use info I provided on my tax return to get their little $32? I will pay them but them threatening to debit my checking account that I provided to the IRS not them is some crap! I wonder how much of your info they keep and use at their discretion…….
@Keymaster all of the previous topics, forums, and discussions are not showing now. No history previous to yesterday is showing.
Wow I came to see if anyone had news and everything is gone :(
Just some quick background to my IRS horror story….

Called IRS 2/23
Was told behind 2 weeks and no issues with my return at all so just wait
Later on 2/23 I lost bars and info on WMR
Called IRS 2/24
Was told letter was mailed on 2/12
Called IRS 2/26
I hadn’t received letter yet and was told to suck it up and wait

Faxed all info requested 3/1No updates but not long since I faxed info. I don’t really think I’ll have any updates for another 3+ weeks. People who filed long after me already has their refunds…. People who filed same time as me got letters way before I did and has their refunds…. I think the IRS is broke and can’t afford to pay people so they’re coming up with bs reasons to keep our cash they borrow throughout the year.
How long is it taking everyone to receive this stupid letter from the IRS? One said it was mailed the 12th and another says the 19th.
I actually filed and received a text that I was accepted on 1/19 but when I called the IRS on 2/12 I was very rudely informed that my return was not accepted until 2/1. I was told to call back on 2/22 if I hadn’t received my refund. I was a good girl and patiently waited. Of course I didn’t receive my refund so I called and was told that all refunds were delayed by 2 weeks so give them until 3/7 to process the refund. Well today I lose all bars on wmr so I called them back. I got a very rude lady that told me that I was informed that I would be receiving a letter requesting I fax in a form 1095A when I called on 2/12. I can assure you I was never told that and the subject was never mentioned at all. She tells me that a letter was mailed out on 2/19 with further instructions. Then I tried to ask her what all would be needed so I could have it ready and she she yells into the phone WAIT FOR THE LETTER then hangs up on me. So I’m waiting for a letter to come in the mail so I can fax this form and wait….. I was told by the second rep I got when I called back was that it takes up to 2 weeks to scan the papers in after received then they take another 6 weeks to process it. Looks like I won’t be getting my return until April/May for the first time ever :(
