I was looked into further lastbyear it wasnt an audit but it did delay my refund 4-5 months and i had to send in multiple thibgs such as birth certificates lease bills etc. However when i checked WMR there were no bars BUT there was a message saying something along the lines of we need more info we have sent you a letter in the mail. There was also a number to call. With that being said if your bars have disappeared and no message saying something is wrong is displayed i wouldn’t worry much about it. And the IRS NEVER calls they only send letters so if somebody does call saying they are from IRS hang up because it’s a scam… Good luck everybody!

Here’s my timeline:

My bar disappeared too tonight (at midnight). But got a DDD through the offset hotline since I have an offset.

1/7 Filed
1/11 TT says accepted
1/13 WMR first bar
During this week, unable to order either transcripts; offset hotline provides info on agency doing the offset (but nothing more).
1/29
Able to order both transcripts (efund and account) early this afternoon.
And when I called the IRS offset hotline this evening (as I have am offset), recording gave me my offset amount and also DDD of 2/3 (no update on WMR, still one bar).
1/30
After midnight, my one bar disappeared and instead have message “We are still processing your return”.
But with the IRS offset hotline, got my DDD of 2/3 like I mentioned above (WMR may update at 3-6am?) Thanks Elisa for the offset tip.
Just now, 2ND BAR DDD 2/3.

Because I filed early in the test batch phase with TurboTax with an acceptance date on Jan.12th. So in your opinion you don’t think that I am being audited? So from what I have been researching the past 30 mins from forums such as this from those in previous years with the message reading “your tax return is being processed, a refund date will be provided when available” NOW this is not a sure fact. Read where one accountant said “do not worry if you think you are being audited, you will know’ a lot of other people saying they think they were being audited… I am not completely sure with this.. I don’t know if we are being reviewed because of mathematical error or ID verification. But if anyone has any insight on this particular topic, please clarify for us so we do not have to keep asking you guys.

If you are getting g your refund deposited into a regular acct you will see your refund between Wed and Fri. If it’s deposited to a Netspend or some other pre paid acct it will be between Mon and Wed.

was able to order both account and refund transcripts yesterday,
woke up this morning to check @ 4:00am and 2 BARS!!!!

DDD is to be sent to the bank by Feb 3rd so it may come before who knows!
all i know is i wont be back on this site till next year unless something goes wrong lol c ya next year!

I haven’t had any updated info until now! I filed with tt 1/6 was accepted 1/11 and finally after impatiently waiting I was approved this morning with a ddd of 2/3! Thank you Jesus! Wheres my refund updated last night for me, filed and was accepted on 1/22/2016. Now I’m at the 2nd bar on WMR, with a Scheduled release date of 2/3/2016. It seems like the IRS is on track so far. I had a simple tax return with 2 defendants. I filed every year so that could of helped process mines so quick. I hope this little bit of info helps and guide everyone on this frustrating issue.

@ Robert, tax topic 152 is just direct deposit info out of the IRS manual, and is always on WMR. I’ve read on quite a few sites that the orange bars will disappear sometimes when there is excessive traffic.

@ Robert, yes, you would know by now if you were flagged. I was in the same boat, I could not request online so I had to do it over the phone, at first it would only take my old address, but I couldn’t order them. Then a couple days ago it wouldn’t take either address, until yesterday, then it would only take my new address and it allowed me to order. I recently heard an address change in the past year causes a slight delay. Keep trying to order those transcripts.

Just checked! I filed and was accepted 01/14/16. DDD is FINALLY set to 2/3/16. I ordered transcripts (boh account and return) yesterday (1/29/16) evening with ease! Glad to know its on the way!

2 bars I meanI filed on the 11th and was accepted o.n the 12th, just got ddd for Feb 3rd. If IRS is requesting more info, it typically means there was a typo or some other error that was flagged on the return

First year I really dove into it this deep but as far as I can tell the ability to order return transcripts is the best indication your DDD is on its way.

Everything else seems irrelevant. Emails from TT, SBBT showing amount expected and all of the other nonsense really told me nothing.

I assume if your only able to order account transcripts you will likely be able to order return Monday at some point and see your DDD by Tuesday as long as there are no issues. Just my opinion.

No one has been given an approval but the IRS will start depositing money starting on Wednesday from Wednesday to Friday and I got that information from a source who works for the IRS
