Now my as of date say June 24th.
Someone filed a fraudulent return with my son’s SSN. Had to do an amended return with proof he was in college and ID pin number by paper since initial return was rejected electronically. USPS said it was received by IRS on April 15. Called May 15 because wasn’t showing in the system. IRS rep said they had bins of unopened mail. Mine still is not showing up in the system today. This has been a very stressful tax season. I wish you guys way better luck than I’m sadly having.
Also today my message changed from “still being processed” to “being processed” today on wmr.
My as of date still say the 3rd of June. I got a letter for verifying the return did that June 3rd, then a congratulations page came up saying I can check wmr in 2-3 weeks and my refund can take 9 weeks.
Finally got the 846 scheduled for 6-18. Pay attention to your “as of” date. Mine changed on Friday and my wage transcripts also updated that day with all my earnings reported. Wasn’t sure if that meant anything but assuming it did since I got the 846 today.

Called today, after finally receiving a call back she kept reading me the same standard prompts, until I finally asked a question to get somewhere. I asked if she could tell me if my return made it to the errors department or if it has even been looked at yet. What she could tell me was no case was opened against it and it has not been sent to the errors department so I guess that’s something…..

Been stuck absolutely no movement on transcripts says no return filed. Had referral put in and told to wait until June 6th to call back. Still no notices and no movement. Wtf is going on????
Hello, I want to share, I filled my taxes 1/17/24, I got them back 2/27/24, in April, I learned I did the return incorrectly, we are supposed to get back what we made legally. I learned, then I filled form 4852, along with a 1040-Series form, my deductions for the child credits and my w-2 I gotten around 4/17/24 I mailed them in (you cannot do this form online in any tax system). On 5/30 I got a letter of verifying my RETURN letter 5017C. I used the letter to do it online. When I check WMR the amount updated but not approved yet. It stated it can take from 4-9 weeks to get it back. But normally I should see an update on my transcript by the 17th, I will keep you updated. You know how ppl always say we suppose to get back the amount we made which may be the AGI or more from that year. Thats all ima say.
I received a letter yesterday 6/4/24 saying I have to wait another 60 days. That’s August!

I filed in January, should have had my refund in February, and now it might be August or later!
Well they pay interest so here’s to that! Maybe I’ll get it in time for next years refund!
Called the irs on May 2nd, was told yes I’m past the injured spouse timeframe and all looks ready to be sent. I’m still at a 570 code. They sent a ticket for review and I was told to allow up to 30 days for them to release the funds or allow a reply from whoever is working on it. Called Thursday, 2 days before the 30 day mark….. still waiting. Was told to call back monday/Tuesday for next step if it’s still not sent…. surprise…. im still at a 570 code.

I’ve been waiting since 2/2/24. 570/971 on 3/4 and 3/18. Today my wages and income transcript finally updated, does this mean I’m closer?
I have 570/971 TC with same future date set for 06/10/24. What’s the difference of the numeric 570/971 or 971/570? What type of notice should I be expecting?
@ladyowhright how much interest did they pay?
I was told it would be 8% interest for every day from the 21 days? Was that accurate?

FINALLY!! filed 1/29 accepted 1/29 570 3-4 971 3-11 and 846 5-30.
Filed February 14th, it is now May 24th and still sitting at code 570. I called IRS and all they told me was that it is still in processing.

Apparently there is a system glitch that the IRS is aware of and attempting to fix. I was told to wait 10-weeks from the ‘review request’ date (as explained by a Tax Advocate this morning).
I submitted 2/12, Monday 5/20 it’s been 14-weeks…my ‘review request’ with the Tax Advocates was 4/23 so I’d be waiting until 7/2 for that 10-weeks…unreal.
On the positive side (if there is any), apparently the IRS will pay interest on unpaid tax returns after the 4/15 deadline at a 8% rate.
If you want additional information outside of this website type in ‘IRS system glitch 2024’ into Google and there’s a number of Reddit strings that provide additional information.

See 3 letters from IRS in Informed delivery that have been sitting with pre-shipment dates of 5/20/2024 unknown delivery – owed 121. for 2008? and 381 for 2016 paid both on the 13th before the letters, (both are still pending – but cleared my bank), now 2016 has a credit balance of 1.16, so 3 letters are probably the two years they said I owed and the credit bal of 1.16

I checked my transcript this morning dd 05/22 and it shows pending in my bank. Good luck to everybody else. And again my 120 day wait would’ve been on June 5th.
i got 846 for 5/22 this morning
had 570 code since february no movement. emailed congresswoman beginning of may they emailed me back next day for privacy release form they emailed me again a week later to tell me they pushed it thru to Tax advocate . tax advocate told me it’s has 7 days to process my tax return that was on friday of last week. today i woke u to ddd of 5/22.

4/17-congress responded asked for 30days, opened case w TAS.5/10 TAS responded: need to amend income W2s for ride sharing/ delivery driving (Uber, gopuff) to 1099s instead of w2s. Indicated to allow 90 days, however for simple come varification such as this possibly quicker to check status of amended return in 3wks.

I reached out to them via their website on April 23rd and they said it take 48 hours for them to respond but they didn’t respond til 2 days ago.

Still Waiting and No Movement. filed 1/29 accepted 1/29 code 570 3/4 code 970 3/11 as of date 2/19. Cp05 for 60 days on 3/11 and nothing STILL
I filed back in Feb. Just now getting my return, I had fees taken out by sbtpg and I have Chime. Me and my husband did a joint return, I put myself as primary and it’s going in my account. I shouldn’t have any issues as long as my info matches correct?
Finally received an email back from the congressman office saying, ” After discussing with the taxpayer advocate, there’s no action required on your part. The hold on your tax was due to an income verification matter, which has been resolved. They should provide an update on when your taxes will be released, possibly by June 5th or earlier.” I checked and my as of date changed fron March 4th to May 27th. So here’s hoping.

I’m hoping its because i faxed over W2s, 1099Rs, and my last 2 paystubs for myself and the hubby to the tax advocate. Maybe that means they got me back in the processing queue… maybe not. But its hopeful
My as of date has been 2/19 since Feb. between 5/10 and 5/11 it updated to 6/03.
Filed the week before. Accepted on 1/29. on 2/19 was the date it updated to 570/971 for 3/11Here is to hoping I dont have to wait another 30 day ugh
