This is the section I am looking for. I filed married separately and put the allocation on my husband’s return. I contacted IRS today and they said they’ve sent back my return incomplete.
I filed 2/4, and have received nothing. I filed through Tax Act, and was accepted immediately. I check the transcripts, and finally shows our wages for 2013, but that is about it. It still has no record of our return. I check the WMR periodically, and still has no record of our tax return. This is the first year I filed a IS form. My husband is a self-employed truck driver, and so thought maybe that is why it’s taking so long. I have no idea. I called a few weeks ago, and the woman said she could find no record, but yet our return was accepted on 2/5. Very strange…
I e-filed IS tax return through TaxAct, and was accepted 2/5. I just went on to get my transcript, and there is no record that I filed a 2013 tax return. I am assuming that means it hasn’t been processed yet. My husband is self-employed, and receives a 1099. I wonder if that is why it’s taking longer.
