There are people scalping the government for a crap ton of money and they picked my measley $900 to review for accuracy? Way to go IRS.

Two of us in our department at our hospital have the same codes and dates. She didn’t know about transcripts until I was bi+c#ing about it at work and she checked hers.

Strange statistically that 2 people in a VERY small rural town who both work at the hospital in the same department who filed at least 3 weeks apart, got the same codes.

No letter, the rep told me the only thing the letter would say is that my return was selected for verification and that it can take up to 60 days to complete their research and that they would let me know if they require anything further from me.

They are told to tell us 120 days but the notice says 60 and the rep I spoke with said that is the more accurate time frame and that if everything is correct, it should be less than 60 days.

Your letter should be mailed on the 4th, so you will be officially “notified” of the review and that it will take UP TO 60 days to complete. They suggest you go back over your return and make sure all numbers are correct and if so, just wait it out.

You won’t update until they complete their review, and its the federal government, so I’d be prepared for the whole 60 days.

Just called, got a great lady, looked up my info and verified that I was selected randomly to validate income and credits. Told I will receive a letter around March 18th that gives a 60 day time frame for which they will investigate and verify the accuracy of my return.

Just to update.
No other wierd codes, 0.00 amount on 570, no notices or letters in account or mailed thus far. One dependent, no EIC or ACTC. Was originally 2/5, then 2/12 then 2/19 then 2/26 then back to 2/19. Updated transcripts filled in 2/7 with 570 and 3/5 date.
WMR still on delay message.
