@ashtondimmick, Mine didnt have bars but said “your return is still being processed” Tax Topic 152. It never changed until the tax advocate.got the IRS to release it. My as of date kept changing from March 9th to March 16th to April 13th to April 27th and Finally May 6th and it was deposited today. From what people are saying its better to see the words “its being proceesed” rather than “its still being processed”

Hang up and call another person. As long as its been 4 weeks and the IRS cant resolve your issue in a timely manner they will step in! I had to send in proof of my wages to the tax advocate. The IRS is waaay behind on mail due to the government shutdown in December
Nevermind. My bars came back and confirmed what the tax advocate said. I have a DDD of April 17th! I guess the site was down earlier. Im not sure why you would be just getting a letter. If you have bars now, what does it say? I know pretty much everyone that got a letter had their bars disappear like me. Mine just came back and they disappeared around Feb 15th I think.
Anyone used the wheres my refund tool today? I got my 846 and the tax advocate says its gonna be deposited Friday but when I use wheres my refund it says my info is wrong. Maybe its because I used a tax advocate.
570 means a hold and 971 means you are going to receive a letter on April 27th. Then it may be 60 days from then. I got my letter on March 16th. I got a tax advocate and had to send in letters from my employers proving my wages. They just released it today! Apparently they are holding most refunds with EIC or child tax credits. I always get mine back in February! This has been ridiculous! Good luck on yours!
There is also a code 290 before my 846 code. It says tax assessed 0.00. It says May 4th.

My tax advocate called! I now have a DDD of April 17th and my as of date is May 4th. It changed this morning. She also said my stimulus check will be here tomorrow! Good luck to everyone! Tax advocates are the best!

Still no change! My unemployment is screwed up too! This is ridiculous! I better see a stimulus check this week!
I checked my account and the last 3 years my as of date was 19 days after my refund was issued. Sice mine is April 27th now does that mean my refund was issued April 8th but they havent told me yet? Who knows!

Got accepted Feb 4th. Then bars disappeared and got 570 then eventually 971. Got my cp05 letter March 18th that said do nothing. IRS said they were verifying my wages and just wait. I got a tax advocate 3 weeks ago. I had to get letters from both employers proving income and employment. The tax advocate called yesterday and said I should know something next week. My as of date changed this week to April 13th so I am hoping for an update this weekend!
