Feb 26 WMR changed from “still processing and date will be provided when available” to we have received your tax return and it is being processed”.
Feb 27 All transcripts available to view
Feb 28 Got DDD for March 4

@rahman madison If it does not recognize your current address, they have not updated it in their system yet. You can do a change of address online I believe, or call.

Thank you Bart for all of your help. I will be donating to your grandfather’s account once I get the money deposited. It has been rough. Now I can relax and FINALLY get the things my baby girl will need once she is born next month.

Yes is has been very irritating this tax season. I have NEVER had to wait this long to get a refund. Me and hubby are VERY careful with giving out information, so I don’t really believe the ID Fraud stuff either. It just does not make any sense. Then they claim our ID Fraud happened in 2012 and 2013…….Really? Why are we just now finding out about it?
I watched the news yesterday morning and they claim the IRS has already given out 1 billion something dollars in refunds so far. I wonder how much of that was fraud……
@Jen Hi a few of us asked this yesterday and woke up to having transcripts available. Exact same thing as you, yesterday our wmr went back to the generic message (1 bar) “we have received your tax return and it is being processed”. We are all expecting a DDD Sat morning (a few hours from now).

Feb 18 Tax advocate sent notification to IRS to go ahead and process that it was indeed me and my husband who submitted the tax return.
Feb 20 Able to order account transcript (return transcript N/A)
Feb 23 called IPSU since we could not access transcripts online. Rep asked identity questions, confirmed ID theft said return was accepted 2/2 and got put in IPSU on 2/5 (This actually sounds accurate since 2/6 we lost bars).
Feb 26 WMR changed to your tax return has has been received and is processed like it did when we first submitted the tax return. It has dropped the “A refund date will be provided when available”.
My question is: Is this normal and do you think it is FINALLY being processed? My return still says N/A. If it is being processed why is it taking so long if the account return is showing up (can’t view it, can only order it). Do you think it is being processed by a computer or a person?

Just a mini update:
Two days after my tax advocate giving the irs the go ahead to process my return I see the account transcript is available, no return yet though. Problem is I can’t see it because I always get an error 122 technical difficulties.
Bart do you know why some people get that error? I have tried different browsers and no luck. I was able to download wage transcript a few days ago, not I get error 122 with that too. As well as old transcripts.
I’m just happy to see the account transcript on there, but now curious as to what it says.
Good Morning everyone. I just wanted to give a brief recap and update.
Filed a joint return Jan 30 and was accepted the same day. Feb 6 husband lost bars, and tax topic 152 but still had amount. Feb 16 I finally lost my bar and tax topic as well. I could log in to see my transcript but they all said N/A. Hubby could not log in due to IPSU message.
Well my tax advocate called today and let me know there had been a stop on our return. She started asking if we have had any identity theft issues in the past, or if someone has tried to file using me or my husband’s ss#. I told her no, not that I know of. Well anyway she verified some personal info, and then verified certain lines of the tax return. She said that since everything was matching up she would let them know they could continue processing our return. She said we would give them 1 week to do so and that it could take up to 3 weeks after that notification to actually see our money deposited into our account. She said she would call me by March 11, but if she got any information before then she would let me know.
So hopefully we will get our money soon. I sure hope so. I’m due March 30th with a high risk pregnancy so this can’t come quick enough.
I will update as soon as I know more.

Me and my husband filed jointly (as we have for the past 9 years) on Jan 30 and were accepted shortly after at 5:30 a.m. On Feb 7 my husband lost his bars as well as topic 152 (refund amount is still there). However under my social I still have 1 bar, topic 152, refund amount, and 21 day generic message. (BTW if you have not guessed, my husband is listed first on the return).
When I log in to view transcripts everything has N/A except wage but I don’t expect that to be updated under mine since I’m a SAHM. My husband is unable to view the transcripts under his info because of the ISPU message.
Just hoping to get your insight on what you think could be the hold up. We have NEVER had to wait this long for our refund. We are expecting a new baby next month, and everything (baby stuff) was depending on this refund. I just feel so depressed. Please give me some insight as no one will from IRS will tell us anything as it has not been 21 days yet.

Does anyone know what it means if you no longer have topic 152? I’m asking because most of you are saying you still have it, but I don’t.
No update for me either. Transcript still says N/A. I’m starting to think I wouldn’t be able to see them even if they were available because I can’t view the older ones. I get an error 122 code.
I wonder why some people have the amount missing and some don’t. Or why some still have topic 152 and others don’t.
I think I’m a weekly so I prolly wont get any type of update until Friday maybe Saturday morning if I will get one.
Someone on TurboTax forum who’s bars went missing just got a ddd today for 2/17. So I’m a little hopeful. :-/……just q little LOL
@ Pikkin I agree with Jo, that does not even make sense. Why would a breach with a credit card affect your tax return? Furthermore what the hell could they be reviewing for up to 8 weeks that would satisfy them that it isn’t ID theft? It sounds like you are the only one who used your social security number to file this year, if not she would have said something (I would hope). Even if they thought someone else submitted your return wouldn’t you just have to send in your information to verify your identity?
I’m sorry but that sounds like a BS answer. You probably are not even under review…..why the hell was she looking at 2012? You were asking about this year. Another thing, if you WERE under review I would think the tax advocate would have let you know considering they can see what’s going on with your taxes.
I’m hoping to see some type of progress on Friday or Saturday. Monday is a holiday, so I guess no one will be getting any on that day.
I’ve never been resequenced either. It’s lil they haven’t put us in another queue yet because February filers ate seeing updates everyday, yet we are seldom seeing any.
I wonder why some have the refund amount gone and some don’t. Anyone know what it means to have the refund amount still there, and gone?
Spikevironata Thank you for clarifying. I don’t understand why they just wont just tell us we are resequenced. That would make people more understanding of the situation. I guess the government just loves to make people panic.
Why don’t they just halt return submissions until they process the ones they already have? I guess that’s just too logical though.
OMG this is crazy! How is this happening to so many people? If they can’t or won’t verify income until May – July then what the hell could they be reviewing?
If they takes over 45 days do we get interest on our refund?
@Dawn I think once they mail the check it will actually tell you the exact date that they send it out. I’ve heard that they only mail them on Fridays but can’t say for sure.
@Dawn Don’t worry about seeing the tracker say “sent”. In the past mine never updated to sent until about a week later. Good Luck! Your money will probably post tomorrow morning depending on your bank.
@Rasten I filed and was accepted on Jan 30 at around 5:30a.m……. Wow you have me nervous now. She did say they would be able to expedite the refund and get the amount of the eviction to me.
She asked me how I got their number and stuff too…..Maybe I don’t sound believable. I really hate lying.LOL
@Rasten okay I tried it again. The lady seemed to have looked up my return for me but didn’t tell me what wad going on. I’m thinking its nothing negative because I would think she would’ve mentioned it ( review etc). She knew exactly which forms we filed, and gave me a case number. Gosh I hate lying.
So do you think perhaps its just we’ve been put on the back burner and have yet to be processed? I told her I saw a message about ID theft and she didn’t confirm that was the reason.
I tried calling a tax advocate yesterday and I had no luck. He wouldn’t look up anything for me since it has not been 21 days yet. Should I lie and make up an earlier accepted date? Would they be able to see the day that I filed?
Example: Saying I filed Jan 13 and tt said I was accepted Jan 15. Haha

I hope we get some good news tomorrow as well. I’m trying to stay positive. I’ve been getting on my husbands nerves about it.LOL
@Nsee It looks like we are having the EXACT same issue. When I log in I get one bar, tax topic 152 and refund amount. But when I log in with my husband’s info his bars are gone and giving the same message as your husbands. He still has the refund amount though, if that means anything. It is frustrating and depressing at the same time. Hopefully we get a DDD by Wednesday at least. I think I’m gonna dread filing taxes from now on, refund or not.
Hi everyone. I filed 1/30 and was accepted 1/30 around 5:30 a.m. I as of today still have 1 bar, but now under my husband’s info he has no bars. His name is listed first on the return. Although he has no bars, he still has the refund amount listed. I will be 8 months pregnant come Monday and this is very frustrating as we were expecting to get all of the baby things at one time with our refund, as well as get a new vehicle and catch up on some bills. We have never experienced losing bars before. I hope there is a change by Tuesday or I will seriously cry. I will keep you all updated. :(
