Super worried. I have this issue with my “bd” every other year and he is in contempt and unable to file. Now, every year, I have to beat him to the punch. Submitted last night at 8pm and still not accepted. Just hoping he hasn’t beat me to the punch. When I look at Efile, it says the IRS received it this morning at 11:45am; however, still says “pending”..

IF you ARE a PATH, you will Def know babe😔. Instead of seeing BARS or seeing ” is being processed ” instead you will see the huge big ol’ “PATH ACT MESSAGE” and it usually doesn’t pop up until day 7..I guess because it usually takes 7 days for them to process our returns before we get a ddd, so after day 7 some ppl will either have 2 orange bars with a ddd, while others will have the PATH ACT message😫

Hey APRIL, I filed on the 18th got approved for 8,775, and did a tax advance same day for only 2k. My preparer sent it off this morning and it was accepted immediately. I never send it until The 1st day of filing (23rd) because I’m always scared to send it off early (test batch) cuz I hear ppl get super delayed if u dnt happen to get selected for test batch.

I got the same error. If they aren’t going to publish it until Jan 31st then why are they telling us to file our taxes today Jan 23rd?! Seems silly. The form should be ready by today, the first date of filing?!

I’m using H&R for the first time this year to save a bunch of money, I usually do it in person. However I was filing taxes online and ran into the same error. This is what they told me.

The IRS hasn’t released the form to them yet but somehow it works off and on. They told me that it will be released on the 1/31, so to expect it then.

This was directly from H&R so I don’t know what to think. Ill update if it get in before then.

@Jenjen00 I was looking for a company that offered free services but whenever it say free I end up having to file my federal every year. I think I was gone go with FreetaxUSA but changed my mind as my refund was higher with HNRBLOCK. So, far my tax return is not showing up on the IRS website, so maybe I need to wait 24-48 hours. I will check the IRS website again on tomorrow.

I filed with Freetaxusa for the first time. I input my info into TT & HR and all had the same amounts for the most part. I went with freetaxusa because federal was free and state was $15. I have credits, so won’t get my federal til path lifts but hoping state within 2 weeks.

I thought my return would be lower due to all the changes that went into effect, but after I filed I saw that I was getting 5k more this year than last year. Last year I got a little over 2k, but this year it’s over 7k. I have one dependent, and claimed Child tax, EIC and education credits. I only made around 28k from my job but also paid over 3k in federal taxes.

I know that this is a new service provided by CashApp–I think it uses the standalone tax platform formerly provided by CreditKarma Tax services, I’m assuming because CK now uses TurboTax exclusively to file. So a lot of unknowns on what to expect, for me. Anybody have any info or experience with CashAppTax to share? Thanks!

First time posting on this forum. I submitted my taxes on 1/22/23 and used HNR Block as I did last year. I claimed several credits such as Child tax credit, EIC, Education Credits. I’m hoping that everything goes smoothly this year for all of us as last year was awful. I had to amend my taxes due to stimulus and forgot to claim the other portion of the stimulus which was around $1500. So, I amended and had to wait about 5 months to get my money.

Is it possible for somebody in the test batch who also has PATH credits to get their refund early, also? Before mid-February? As it seems every year, there are always a small amount of people who claim they have received their PATH refunds a bit earlier. My first year in test batch–probably because it is also my smallest refund in years.

I went with Cashapp cuz they offer free filing AND audit protection (which I always get and pay $159 plus SBTPG fees for). So I am getting nearly same refund amount and the only extra fee being taken out is the one from SBTPG. AND I apparently made the test batch–another first–as I flled 1/19/2023, was accepted almost immediately, and as of 1/22/2023, am already at one orange bar!

TurboTax and CreditKarma angered me this year as I was offered the RAL again and would have gratefully accepted except for the fact that my CK account I created to get last year’s RAL and refund was eventually closed after the funds were spent, and CK will not reopen. No other way to receive the RAL except thru CK account. So for the first time in 12 years, I am not using TurboTax.

Ours (MFJ) went up 20%, not counting what we received from stimulus ly. It would be more with that included. Our income did go up 15%, so that accounts for a good chunk of it. We do get the CTC, but no additional credits (that matter anyway).

So my return was rejected with E-File stating that I needed a Pin. I did the retrieve my pin tool with IDME went so far as to upload my Birth Certificate, Passport, W2, and a selfie, was in a “waiting room” to be video conferenced in to verify everything, and then was told to sign in again. My account was then suspended when I tried to sign in and I sent in a ticket and they said it was suspended indefinitely for suspicious activity.

NOW WHAT?? How to I retrieve my pin?

So this year our return drastically went down. None of the Covid times credits applied to us but even with two dependents and the credits my return went down a LOT. I’m trying to figure out what exactly is causing the changes. We did not get the large CTC last year as my dependents are older. The change to the childcare credit doesn’t apply either. I’m honestly baffled that it dropped by half. Did I miss some huge changes in EIC or something?
