@bk if you got the offset letter today, then you should have your paper check on monday or tuesday

@Nicholas yes they will automatically take it. They dont wait for permission. Lol you will get the letter telli g you a few days after you were supposed to get dd.
@showmethemoney thank you! I hope you got yours as well!!!@coco so from what others have went through. If takes about 5 dayd for them to uodate you after you have sent in addtl papersork. If your status doesnt change by tuesday you shoild def call back and try to push them to finish it.

@vee… Mine was issued on the 31st..and the state got me for an offset too. I just got my paper check today. So yours should be in their tomorrow or.monday at the latest.

I called the letter on my notice and she said its just a timing issue. She said it should come any day now.. Ill continue to check mail with fingers crossed! Lol

I didnt think i owed tthe state either. Could be as silly as a ticket that was unpaid. But everyone has gotten their dd in 5 days…unless the state has intercepted for a payment like in my case. Now im waiting for a paper check that was issued on the 31st.

@showmethemoney. Yes I always get dd. My state was issued on 1/31. I was expecting my dd last night and it didnt happen. So i called ftb and they said i had an offset sith dmv. So that automatically puts me in the paper check club. Trust me i dont want to be in this club! So now ill be frantically checking the mail everyday!
@noluckyet i just got off the phone with them 30 minutes ago. I cant beleive they are doin it over dmv bullshit. Im sure they took yours too..sorry…im not happy either. My dumbass already spent the money that was coming and now i screwed myself. I shouldnt have..but i did. I just with there was a way to know when the damn check will show. There is no way it takes 2 flippin weeks to mail..grrr!
@showmethemoney you are probably waiting for a paper check as well. Seems like those of us still waiting are having same issues. I just called tax boasrd and they just decided to tell me mine is coming by mail. Due to an offset i didnt evwn know i had. Mine was issued the 31st so who knkws when it will actually come. They told me 2 weeks..but usually doesnt take that long…

Well i figured out why i didnt get my dd. Dmv took some money for a broke down car that i didnt pay the tags on. So im waitong for the remainer of my refund to come via mail. Fun stuff! Lol

@nicole85. Everyone says about 5 days. Mine was issued on 1/31 and i still dont have it. I have a prepaod card and i wouldve thought it would be deposited by now..but no such luck.

My issued date is 1/31..and still no dd for me..im crossing my fingers for monday! Im also hoping it posts to my acct later today as i have green dot, and they are know to do that. Congrats to everyone with deposits!

@dynasty sounds like your in the same boat i just got out of. Go through the past few days comments. You will have to call daily.Be persistent and it will happen! Just keep calling back! Also make surr your calling the # that 420 posted. They can do more for you than the main number. But..you will see it took me almost 5 days..and one person finally got most of.mine done and the person i talked to the next day was able to finish and push it through. So dont lose hope. Just keep calling and it will happen!
@wishingonastar yes it does keep you busy! But it was such a relief when i finally got some movement. Im not stressed at all, now that im just waitong for the dd. We k ow we have to wait on fed..but i wasnt gonna wait on state. Lol and neither should you. If you dont call, they wont do shit! Lol just keep at it..even though its frustrating! You will get yours, just have a little hope and patience!
@wishingonastar.. Just keep calling ..you will eventually get the right rep! It took 2 diff reps to start n finish mine…but they were the most helpful out of the 9 i talked to. Dont wait til monday..keep pushing- it will happen! I’m proof..lol..im waiting for mine to hit my acct now! I like this waiting game better..than the wtf’s goin on game! Lol good luck!!

@420.. I really hope CA isnt planni g on doing this shit every year! I had to do a verify last year..but that was so simple and only took 1 rep..lol but it seems tbis year thdy are goi g after the people whos fili g status has changed much in the past few years. She told me this morning that almost half will have the 1 month hold as theyre trying to prevent fraud. My only thing is…theres got to be a better way! But as long as they dont do the path bullshit for state then i guess it isnt too bad..just frustrating!
Darkzone keep trying. Dont.let it get to you! It took me 4 days. Yesterday i finally got the right person. She started mine..and the lady i spoke with today was able to finish mine. But….it took me going through 9 diff reps in 4 days. Keep at it..you will get the right person.
@dee sometimes it takes 48 hours to update. But it does update over night.

To everyone that called and got theirs released. Did you uodate right away or over night on ftb-wmr..im azking because the last rep said she was trying to review and work on mine. She also didnt beed any addtl info from me. I offered to fax it! Lol Im doing everything I can to try n get some movement. Im itching to call again..haha..but i may wait til tomorrow morn..im hoping the last one i talked to really is working on mine. She seemed like she cared..i was on hd for over 20 min..she kept coming back every few min to let me k ow she was still reviewing and working it..and then at end of call she said she would continue.. Im hopi g she can do it..
@wishingonastar.. No it wont effect your fed return. Your already clear on your fed return as you have the PATH message. Also like i siad to others..at least you have an answer as to why cali is doing this to you..i have no clue! Lol
At least you guys have some typr of answer! Although we all want our refunds right now! Lol.. Everyone i have talked to said there is nothing i can do to help my case. No letters..nothing! She had me on hold a while and said she doesnt see any errors. But she did say she would continue to work my case after we got off the phone.but could still take 12 weeks. Im really at a loss of whats going on..
Well for my 8th call in 3 days i got to talk to someone who wanted to help a little more. I was on hold for 20 minutes while she was reviewung my case. She said its not my fault but she will continue to review and try to work my case but could still take the 12 weeks. I guess im givin up for now. It will come whdn it comes. And if not i will get a tax advocate.

@420 yes i plan on trying again tomorrow! Im not gonna give up..even though i want to! I swear its always something with cali. I think the last 3 years its always some weird bullshit. Id be more ok with it, if it was something i did. Ive been doing my own taxes for 12 years and the only issues Ive ever had..are issues with state.

She put me on hold and tried to push it thru and came back and said it wont go through😭 that i have to wait for a certain dept to look into it. Grrr i dont work and havent for a couple years and my husband has had the same job for 5 years. I just dont get it..I was pretty upset earlier, but now im to the point of.. Oh well..what can i do…😥
@420 i wish it was a ticket ir a waterbill! I live in the country at the same address for almost 6 years..and on a well..so no water bill..haha! Havent been pulled over in years either! I even called ftb tax advocate todau and she said she cant even see why this is happening. But she did say its happening to lots and lots of people already. Im gonna keep callin every couple of days. The number you gave me..the girl really tried to help. But she couldnt get it to go thru her system. She said a special dept had to do it. Im wondering if someone else tried to file using my info or some crazy shit. I hope not, and Im hoping this is an issue they can resolve soon..or at least explain to me whats going on. Thats what upsets me the most.. I have no clue WHY! Id be.more patient if i knew! Ill update you, if I hear anymore.

And she said its they type of review that she cant touch. .also said no point in me calling back until april 15th. I really dont get it. She said its not an audit but a review with no explanation as to why.

There have been quite a few people that have gotten thier refunds from cali already. Im not sure who you have talked to but your info is opposite of what i was told. Cali is actually moving very fast this year. Lots have file and got thier dd in a week. Others are waiting longer. Every ones returns are different. All sorts of reasons why some will go quicker than others. Hell im in full review. Lol but there is no reason to be rude to other and call them a liar. I hope everyone that filed early gets thier deposits soon without any issues!!

I know were all calling on Monday! It will be my 4th call!! Hahaha .. Im gonna see if theres anytbing i can do to speed mine up. But last rep i talked to said it was just a waiting game..and i had nothing to verify. Simply said im in full manual review. So hopefully everythings good with mine and they decide to process it next week!Im hopin all 3 of us just get our damn deposits by next friday..so we dont have to stress! I know Victoria and i both had to verify last year and i had to fac them a paper they sent me to sign..but that was because i owed a 100 bucks for unemployment over payment grom a fee years back.

Sdiego.. Congrats!!! After talking to 3 reps at ftb..i found out im in full review! So its a waiting game for me.
So i was wrong i didnt file eitc for state only federal. But i did call ftb amd they said we may have an extra paper to sign and return befor my refund is released. But she said she isnt sure. So not much help. Lol. I do remember them sending me an additional paper last year to sign. Hope i dont have to..but we shall see. Ill update if i find out more..
So if they are making us prove our kids are in school and ss cards are correct…when will i be notified to send that info..????
Well guys that call was pointless..she just gave me the 10 day spill..i supposedly will have my deposit within 10 business days from the 25th when i was approved..was hopi g they would tell me more

Cali is definitely taking lo ger this year than usual. I kniw my deposit is taking longer because of the letter i received asking me to verify it was me.but id love to kniw when they are actually goi g ro release our deposits..hope we all get good news very very soon
@shelle i got a message similar to that stating my return needed extra processing time when it was still processing..and a couple days later stating it was processing please allow up to 3 mo ths..and a few days later it said your refund has been approved for release of funds, as of jan 25.. you will receive your dd in next 10 business days..and then i got that letter today…but i never got the same exact message as you..but not necessarily a bad thing.. Maybe you should give them a call mo day morning to be sure everythings ok..they open at 7am…. Between federal and state they are really putting us through the ringer this year
