Has anyone that is still waiting had to wait this long before? Does anyone know what happens once we have to file again?

Any updates for you?I had received a letter that states wait till 12/20 but that’s in 2 days. Keep checking the mail for another bogus sit and wait letter. Don’t want to call and request a TA because that will add even more time to my wait. This is insane. But like one of you said I would be happy to get both year’s return at once. But one can only wish and hope.
Does anyone know how it works for us that have not received our return, come this new tax year? I’m being negative but I have a feeling we will wait longer since they will be busy with the new returns😣 do we just refile for 2019?
@Nate79…..I received a letter stating 12/20 and had hope to get that money then since its almost the new year. but now that your saying they told you another 45days, for sure that money is not coming. This is not acceptable and really insane. a full year has passed and still nothing. so now IRS you will have to pay last year and next year all at once!
I’m still here fucken waiting on this stupid money. now I’m sick and have to have surgery and was hoping this money can help out for Christmas but who has hope on that money ever coming!!!!

I’m still here since 01/28, have waited through 1 60day review 1 60day referral wait time. I didn’t bother to call and I got a notice mid August asking for my paystubs. my as of date updated to an august date and 420 code. got another letter in the mail last week stating that IRS had received my paper work and I should hear back until 12/20 with completion. similar to Nate’s except I have to wait until Christmas. so the wait continues. I don’t bother to check the website hopefully I will get my refund before I have to file again. I honestly think that when other get a TA they try and push their stuff in to get done quicker and it delays the rest of us waiting. So I will remain on the back burner. I have gone exempt this year and don’t care to file next year.
Update: hadn’t checked my transcripts or the wheres my refund for months now. I have lost track of dates but I did call in and a “referral” had been placed and I know that my 60days were up on 07/26 for this so called referral. I checked today and my as of date changed to 08/16/19 and I now have a 420 transaction code since 07/26. I did receive a packet mid August that asked for my paystubs. I don’t know if that was my audit or if I will get more paper work requested. The papers they sent me stated if I didn’t send in what they asked that they would update my return after 30days. I guess wait some more.
Still here waiting along with all of you. No updates. Maybe we will get our money for Christmas. or until next years filling.
I filed Jan 28th and still waiting here no updates on any type of letters. My referral time frame of 60days was up on 07/26 and nothing has happened no letters no update. I’m thinking we are all getting pushed to the end of the year because the government is out of money. this is true bull shit.
@scotty: wow 2 weeks off for the IRS and us still here fucken waiting. they better put their work on fast track and get us our damn money. WMR still stuck on the same bullshit. waiting here since 01/28…Jesus help all of us.
it seems like everyone is led to believe they need to amend! The funny part is we wait half a year to be told or led to believe we need to amend just to give them more and more time. I had a referral placed for me which they told me another 60days which are up this Friday the 26th. Nothing has changed only thing I have received is a letter stating I called them to inquire about my return. This is absolutely some bullshit. I hope IRS reps read this! if it was your paycheck being held I’m sure you would raise hell too. mind you we are just here waiting and waiting…..
Still here with you guys….filed 01/28 no updates only 60day letter and referral which was stated would take another 60days and nothing has changed. Sadly waiting forever!
I don’t bother to check my transcripts anymore, I just check this forum and see what’s going on with everyone. lost hope that I will see my refund. All my kids birthdays and my birthday have past, now back to school and single mom here has to make miracles happen. Hope everyone has a good day, let us make the best of it without our money!

as some of you said im just waiting, I don’t even bother checking…most of you said July1st for DDD I had my fingers crossed since that is my bday….the first came and left I had hopes for the 3rd which is today and yet nothing once again…next year my partner can claim my kids on his return as his tax return was one of the last to be filed and he has already gone through his return….no issues there…so fuck the IRS and I will no longer sit and wait next year!

Any updates for you?looks like there is not many of us left :( hoping not to be the last one standing.
From what I have read on the IRS website is that if you are not sure if you need to amend that you should wait until the IRS tells you to so. if you are on a “60 day” review that you should not amend as this will cause your return to be delayed even more. I think if you have a TA and are told to amend that is the best way to go about it because they know that you are amending and are expecting the corrected return. I also read that if you amend while under review that this cause also cause an audit. So regardless the wait time will be there regardless.

How do you know all of this? what if you have code 570 on your transcripts?
I’m still here waiting filed 01/28. No update whats so ever. I feel like I will be the only one left. still no answers or additional letters just the dumb referral to who knows what department holding my breath for another 60days because I hardly doubt that they will do anything. Sad very sad.
I didn’t want to check because I already knew NO F@CKEN update!!! if the IRS agents do read this forum tell your bosses they can keep the damn money!!!! like someone posted on here yes they are doing this bullshit to the ones who have no money to fight this! no answers all but wait and wait some more so that you can continue to feed yourselves….im done!

So the IRS is keeping our refunds to earn more interest and continue to employ these call center people that are no help!!!! Has anyone requested to speak with a supervisor and actually gotten to speak with one?
Filed Jan 28th accepted the same day and still waiting after my 60days were over on 05/7. my wages are now showing on the site for a week now. I called on Tuesday and come to find out I have been forgotten no updates whats so ever. Mrs.”Pitman” from IRS stated that she will send a referral to the review department to see what the hold up is but I have to wait another 60days. I said “and then what” she said you have to wait if we don’t reply you have to call us back!!!! WTF…I said so I have to call you to remind you to do your job? so basically call you back in 60days to tell you wake up and give me my money? This is bullshit!!!! does anyone know where we can file a formal complaint?
My as of date is 3/11 and that has not changed or the 570 code either. my 60days were up on 05/07 and finally called to hear the same bull another 60days as they will forward my information to the review department to see why its still being held! I’m so over this!!!!
