Hello everyone it’s been a while since I been over here lol not sure if this is the right thread but has anyone that e-fled with TurboTax had any problems with them getting accepted? Neither my federal nor my state (CA) have been accepted and I filed 5 days ago wtf ?

Turbo Tax paid with federal refund direct deposited on 1/29I wouldn’t worry about it @mixedme you’ll likely see an update on WMR tomorrow or the next day. If you get an unable to retrieve message from FTB it means they are updating it.
@mixedme the EDD (employment development department) is slow on receiving and reporting last quarter withholding. I just faxed my last paycheck of the year and my W2 to them.
If anyone decides to send documents, make sure you call and ask what your account number is and put the number, first and last name, and why you are faxing documents (ie to verify final quarter withholding, to ID verify, or whatever your needs are)@Djanet Smith here is the fax number to send your documents. A lot easier than waiting on the mail.

Called every day since then. Was told today it’s processed but WMR says “cant retrieve”
2/05 LostI feel like bugs bunny today. I’ve called so many times that it takes them 10 mins to sort through the notes to come back with “it updated yesterday to processed” I’m over here chewing my carrot like mkay okey dokey you betcha how about a refund date? Anyone? Crickets….
I think WMR is updating or down. I tried multiple times. I’m seeing a lot of you with the same problem.

@Bea try calling the number and pressing 2. Those are the peeps that can tell you what they need.FTB updates in real time.
@Bee no I’ve only had 2 check marks. That’s why I had to call again because dude told me yesterday it would update on FTB but it never did. I know that they are separate departments so I might try calling the main number and see what they have to say but I don’t want to be labeled a nuisance caller and resequenced to the bottom of the stack. WAIT FOR IT. UGH.

Accepted 1/27I have officially called so many times that I spoke to the same guy that told me yesterday that my refund was processed and to expect a refund in 14 days and he tells me today that he needs to apologize for giving me incorrect information and that it takes 2 to 4 weeks from the time they received it and that it’s not approved so I’m back to square 1. Can’t keep calling because they have a list of how many times I called. It’s a small amount of money but I’m trying to buy plane tickets to Maui FFS. Lol
I’m on hold again. This is just a sport now. Let’s call and see who will push the approved button. @Lola Fulona I got my fingers crossed. This time I pressed 2 and she didn’t know WTF was going on so I’m calling back to press 1 again. Lol
@Marcy they ask for SS full name address and phone number. For the last 3 years I’ve had to verify withholding with my W2 and last paycheck stub of the year so I anticipated that and faxed them in. That also gives me a reason to call so it doesn’t just seem like I’m jonesing for money lol.
Anyway just got off the phone. Again. The guy yesterday said it was approved and I’d see a refund in 14 days. This lady says it’s approved but still processing and could take 4 weeks but that’s “what she tells everyone”. So I’m confused. If it’s approved why is it still processing OMG. Also, the First Lady hung up on me when I was in hold. I think I’m getting the runaround. Might have to call again lolFTB WMR updates in real time. I’ve called with 2 bars had it pushed through, checked it and it said 3 bars immediately.

My problem every year is that my return shows incorrect withholding from the final quarter of the year. I’ve had success with faxing the final paycheck stub of the year and my w2 to
916-843-6036 Fax number. When I called today after faxing that info they pushed it through. My employer is slow to update info with the employment development department (EDD) so if you’re trying this for the first time call (916) 845-3118 Push 2 and ask them to check over your return for any errors and if you don’t have luck with that call back and push 1. @Marcy I spoke to a guy today. He says that my return looks good and that it’s just waiting to be processed. I know I owe on Kate fees to the library which could be why it’s taking longer. Cali still owes me money though which he said the would DD after taking what I owe. He said wait 2 weeks. Could happen today though and FTB Where’s my refund is real time so just keep checking I guess.

The last 2 years I had incorrect withholding amount reported and when I called they pushed it through. This year they are telling me it can take 2 months to process and another month to get refunds. I’m going to try to call again.
Anyone still have the 1 month message? Or had the one month message and got refund approved? Accepted 1/27 says processing allow 1 month, when I called she said process time is 12 WEEKS….
I called today about the wait 30 day message and was told normal processing time for California returns is 12 WEEKS UGH

When I looked up my husband’s (primary filer) I got the same message but when I looked up mine I got the processing wait 30 day message. Just a thought.Kathy 800-852-5711 is the general number wit time is 40 mins right now. My old secret number is not working this year.

State says they update once a day. I’ve seen the update time appears to be around 10pm.
@CAmom what tax preparer did you use? I’ve seen some messages that Jackson Hewitt didn’t send them right. I used TurboTax and for two years in a row they sent it without the proper withholding aka a software glitch they never fixed. If I were you I’d call 916-845-7088 right at 7am and say you’re calling to verify some information which you had to do last year too. See what they say. Be overly polite, they are cranky sometimes.
Um, yeah… I don’t want to scare anyone but if you call 800-852-5711 the Cali WMR phone line it says processing time right now is 3-4 months.

Anyhoos no update for me. Filed 1/21 accepted 1/23 stuck in processing now with please allow 1 month message. My federal was accepted 1/21 with a DDD of 1/30, still waiting on that too.@Tammy I just typed a lengthy reply all about my ocd but of course it got deleted. Wait for it? LOlolololol omg. Like can they just give me the bad news already or update me already..

I just got an email from TT that my form 8453 was ready and to log in to complete my taxes.im already accepted. She said the form was for my 401k credit on Cali return. I’m thinking this might be the hold up. When I look at my downloaded return it currently shows the form from 2017. She told me it will update on 1/28 or 1/29 after the IRS officially opens but not sure I believe that. It’s a form for our files not something I have to mail in but seeing the wrong date on the form of my current return has me wondering.

I got that form message too but just got a regular job. I also was surprised that I got mine accepted. I’m starting to think this is going to be the usual message for everyone. I’m seeing a pattern and no one else has said they got a different message. I guess it might be the shutdown and if after 30 days I don’t have it I’ll start to worry.
