This is second hand knowledge as I have not physically seen the proof, but I just came back from dropping my youngest off at school and some parents were talking. One of them is a tax preparer and thr other two are clients of hers. She told one of them that she had already received verification from her bank of a direct deposit for this Wednesday as her fee was being paid out of it. She told the other that she had not seen anything yet but expected to see another on Wednesday for Friday. Both were early filers.

Just spoke with a young lady. She said that message is standard and if they need info they will send a letter which I know it’s true because that’s how they have done it in the past. She allow 30-45 days to process but it usually only takes 7-10. Hopes this helps someone.

I went and looked back at last years forum and irs started doing returns on the 20th, this year on the 19th- they accepted early returns both years. First DD’s were for Friday January 30 and they were given on Wednesday 28th. Makes me think we should see something we’d the 27 and get our money on fri the 29- Atleast some of us should. I was an early filer last year and got my money on the 30. Filed this year 1/11, got accepted on 1/14, here’s to hoping for the 29

So when I first checked my status it asked me to call GA Tax Center, which I did. They asked me my name and address and said that was all they needed. The next day it asked me to call them again except go to option 3, I did that as well. They asked me my name, number, tax year, and how much I am supposed to get back. Then she told me to expect my refund within 30 days. I’ve seen a lot of people talk about the “option 3” on here so I wanted to let everyone know my experience with it. Has anyone actually went through the same process and received their refund yet?

I believe everything is running a little slow because they did have a huge snow storm in dc and irs is in dc government offices are closed only essential workers are to report to work and it’s been like that since Friday now I’m not saying irs is shut down or closed all I’m saying is that this might have an affect on taxes but nothing major to report to the nation probably a Lil slow let’s see what happens after 8am or 9 am in some places if not today hopefully this week period

I’m hoping for something today since it is a Monday and I filed on a Friday afternoon, but this is the longest it’s ever been for irs acceptance and I’ve used HRB for 5+ years. You guys come on here for information and when someone gives it to you, you belittle them, and call them names… Call them liars… Everyone won’t get their refund on the same day even if you filed on the same day, so how do you know they are lying to even call them that? Most people who get their refund wont even bother to come back here and tell people they got it.. yes all different deposit dates, not just on “fridays”.

last year i filed/accepted thurs 2/5, transcripts on tues 2/10.
approved bar on wed 2/11 with ddd of 2/13.
deposit on 2/13 into bank of america.

this year i filed/accepted thur 1/21
feel sure transcripts tomorrow and then wmr will update wed
should see ddd of friday 1/29 with the wed update

*also, i’ve been tracking our refund for 5 years now… it’s never off for us… file before friday, accepted, approved with wed update/ddd of friday, deposit on friday
– used rush card for 3 years, boa for 1 year, and wf this year

First, I truely want to thank everyone for the great laughs from alot of the different posts. I have never seen so many misinformed and trolling posts in my life.

Second, I work for one of the four processing centers for the IRS. I am at the one based in Covington, Kentucky. We did not open and start processing ANY returns until the 19th.

Now for those wondering, yes we did accept returns between the 12th and 13th. These were test runs for our systems. It allowed us to make sure that we were ready for the floodgates to be opened. People, please realize that there are 1000s upon 1000s of people and companies that are eFiling. We had to make sure we were ready. Now I was one of those who got lucky to be included in the test batch. No we don’t get special treatment. Even though we were accepted it didn’t truely get checked until the 19th.

WMR tool usually does not update until after 8am. We do system updates at night in Sunday. That’s why its unavailable. DD should start dropping shortly. We are not behind. We are not closed. If you got accepted in the test batch we are hoping to have the funds to you by the 29th of January at the latest. Just breath, unless we found something wrong or fraudulent, its coming. I need it too. I need a new car…lol.

I am pretty sure there wasn’t an update until 1/28 last year and then we had DDD of 1/30 the other thing I remember it was like luck of the draw, some early filers got it and others did not then their were people who file thru 1/23 (as I can remember at least) who got it. I think last year we could order transcripts the night before the DDD roled out. Anyone else recall? Hopefully it winds up like that this yr as well guys :)

I thought you could only use PP prepaid if you have a bank account linked? I was going to have my refund sent to my PP account but after calling customer service they informed me you have to have a bank account linked. I opted to have my fiancee associate me with his active checking account in order to receive my RAC.

Hi Amber, LAST YEAR: I filed on Sunday early AM 1/25/2015 | was Accepted 1/25/2015 |On Thursday 1/29/2015 WMR changed to Approved with a DD Date of 2/4/2015 | on Friday 1/30/2015 refund was deposited on my Netspend Card around 2PM

Last year I filed with TT on Jan 22nd. Got accepted with both on Jan 22nd. Received my DDD for state on the 27th and my DDD federal on the 29th. Always with a bank.
