March 8, 2021 at 11:01 am in reply to: Your tax return is still being processed. A refund date will be provided…” #4466610My bars are gone also. On 3/5 I did not have tt152, but as of 3/6 tt152 is back. Did this happen to anyone else and is it a good sign?
Finally got through to a live person. I was told it could take up to 10 weeks to correct and issue my refund
Just checked and still N/A with no updates on transcripts. Waiting is the worst.
Accepted 2/12. Just checked and still no updates on transcripts.
971 is a notice issued, possibly letting you know that they adjusted your return.
The IRS will not calculate the Recovery Rebate Credit for people but if you make a mistake on the Line 30 amount, the IRS will calculate the correct amount of the Recovery Rebate Credit, make the correction to your tax return and continue processing your return. If a correction is needed, there may be a slight delay in processing your return and the IRS will send you a notice explaining any change made.
-irs.govThey posted an update on the irs website stating that they would adjust your return and it may cause a slight delay. I also claimed on accident. 2nd payment went to a closed bank acct and I still haven’t received it. Apparently they mailed it out 2/2.
So I think we are all in the same boat on the NA. But did anyone else notice a 971 code after the first stimulus in 2020? I know that means notice sent, but I don’t recall receiving any notices.
@pearl
I noticed the same code on my transcripts. I spoke with someone at IRS today and they told me it was a notice concerning the first EIP and that no action was required. My 971 date was 4/27/20. Hope this helps.Last year I was a weekly. Got my refund on a Wednesday. WMR updated the Saturday before.
I’m in the same boat w same credits. I also went through the same situation as you last year and it was scary af. Was hoping for a less dramatic tax season this year, but it doesn’t look like that’s gonna happen. Hopefully we will see something Friday.
