@brittlane08 You are not alone. I am having same situation.
I have PATH credits and was accepted already.
Filed 1/10 with TT Married Joint
I have EITC and ACTC
Accepted and one bar 2/10
Sorry to hear that you got no update yet. It is coming tho. They can’t hold it forever. I hope you get it soon. Best of luck to you.
So after 2 months, I finally got a DDD for 3/16. Yay. Now we just wait for the deposit. Hopefully all the other early filers get some good news soon if they have not already.
As of this morning we were finally able to order our return transcripts. Maybe that means that we will get an update this weekend. One can only hope. So ready for this nightmare to be over.
@carmen
From now on we are going to have someone do our taxes. Paying a little bit is better than waiting 2 months. Today was our 2 months since being accepted.
The frustration is there for sure. But what can we do? I’ll post if I get an update or not as well. Hopefully we do. I’m tired of waiting.
I have called the IRS several times. No answers. Just the same BS over and over again. That 6-8 weeks crap that everyone had gotten told. TA is telling me the same thing when I can get a hold of him. This is complete BS. I’m so tired of waiting. We shouldn’t have to wait at all. It’s our money. We work for it and they take it. Then when it comes time to give it back, they don’t want to.
So, Are there any early filers still waiting? I files thru TT on 1/7 accepted 1/11. They didn’t start processing until 1/19. Bars and tax topic gone end of Jan with “Your return is still being processed. A refund date will be provided when available.” Now as of 3/10 mine still says the same, but my husbands says “We received your return and it is being processed.” Anyone know anything about it? Is that good? Does it mean nothing? We have had a TA since 2/16 and he has been very little help. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thank you.
@Anita
My husband has had to deal with back cs. It only takes up to a week extra usually. Everyone is different tho. That is just our experience.@texasgirl
Yes that is what happened a few years back. If it is back taxes that you owe, the offset hotline will not tell you. The hotline is non irs debts only.@CarolinaMomma
You need to call the IRS. That happened to us and it was because they were holding the money for back taxes. Not saying that is what it is, but you should call to find out.@Crystol
I’ve got the same problem. You are not alone. They told me same thing.@Texasgirl
I filed Jan 7th. Called today. No ID verification needed. Just still being processed.@jess
https://www.irs.gov/Individuals/Get-Transcript
by mail is the only way now.
Click the “Get transcript by mail”
Fill in info.
Numbers and letters only in address box. No periods, dashes, slashes, ect…@angel garza
That offset will set your return back, but not much. This is the first year that my husband doesn’t have an offset. His offset for back cs usually set us back a little. Last year it was a month from acceptance.@CarlyGirl84
I feel you on the bill thing. Everything keeps going up except the paycheck. It’s horrible. And it’s easy to get behind. Not so easy to catch up.@vivian
Thank you.@vivian
We think they just don’t want to shell it out. LOL! This is the first year that my husband has been caught up on CS.@vivian
I call all the time. Nothing. I called IRS today and was told the 6-8 weeks thing. I doubt that highly tho.So I still can not get my transcripts. No bars. No tax topic. Nothing. I filed on Jan 7th thru TT. Accepted Jan 11th. Anyone else? I’m just wondering if I am alone?
@bryndakat
The exact same thing is going on with us except we filed on 1-7 and accepted 1-11. Same job all year, we have 2 dependents. And I too called and got the same response. It is like they just don’t want to give some people their money. If there was a legitimate problem, they would see it and would have to tell you about it. I requested a Tax Advocate due to my family needing the money. Hopefully it moves soon. Good luck to you.@texasgirl
Thank you for your input. You have truly helped to put our minds at ease with all the responses you have been giving. Also knowing that we are not the only ones going thru this, helps as well. If we get any updates I will post them.I called this morning and was told that there was an ID problem and it would be delayed another 6-8 weeks. My husband called a different number and was told that there was no ID problem, but we were delayed. Still told 6-8 weeks. This is so frustrating.
I meant to ask this previously. What is the difference between daily and weekly? I think I am a my husband and I are weekly because the last 2 digits are 05. Thanks.
My husband and I filed joint through Turbo Tax and were accepted on January 11th. Bars and Tax Topic disappeared after about a week or so. Now it is February 6th and still nothing. We have both tried calling to no avail. I have been reading this forum for days now and I am not seeing anyone still waiting that was accepted on the 11th. But also am seeing a lot of people that got a DDD within a week or two. Anyone else still waiting that was accepted around the 11th? Starting to panic a little that something might be wrong.
