      I updated my DD information on portal with the info to my Chime account Wednesday morning 15 minutes after Payment portal went live. Updated yesterday saying I am getting a check mailed on April 24th. What was the point of this stupid portal anyways?

        SCOTT Yes you can get an advance if you are self-employed. I just filed a Schedule C on January 14th and was accepted on January 27th around noon. Santa Barbara showed that my refund advance was dispersed that day and I confirmed funds were available on the card around noon today. I do not know if they were available yesterday or not.

          TLDR; Self employed CAN receive the Refund Advance. both TurboTax and GreedDot have incompetent customer service agents, and I HAVE RECEIVED my REFUND ADVANCE on my Turbo Tax prepaid card!!

          If anyone needs any advice on how to get a LIVE customer service agent on the phone with either TurboTax and/or Green Dot lmk by starting a thread that says “Help getting a LIVE agent on the phone”
