Has anyone filed early but NOT been accepted? I filed on Jan 14, 2016 but haven’t been accepted yet, this is my first year filing early.

I filed on the 1/13/16 and got accepted on 1/14/16 but my tax prepare told me that they will start to processing and Approved them after the 19th so keeping our finger cross and also told me that for the DDD they will depositing on 02/05/16 but if u have Credit Union they will do the deposit on Wed. 02/03/16 and that happened to me last year too my DDD was on 1/30/15 and i got my DD on the 1/28/15 2 days before so maybe it could be on Feb 3rd this year. So lets stay calm and wait for the 1st DDD to post on the WMR site!!!!

I filed on the 12th and accepted on the 12th. Still on first bar. Filed with TT. Seems like it is taking a little longer to be approved.

I filed using tax act on 1/8/16 and then I received an email with the message my return was rejected with this message;
Rule Number: FW2-502
Rule Number Description: The Employer Identification Number (EIN) entered on Form W-2, Copy 1, does not match the IRS e-file database. Click on Federal, Wages and Salaries, Wage income reported on Form W-2. Click Review next to the W-2 you need to correct. If the EIN entered matches what is on your paper W-2, you will need to contact your employer for the correct EIN.

I filed via Turbo Tax On the 13th 2016 and was accepted the next day. It was about 18-24 hours later. TT gave me a Direct Deposit Date of January 19th – February 8th. I am sure that is just a regular timeline, since the IRS isn’t actually processing returns until the 19th I think. I’ve never filed this early before, so I am waiting and hoping for good news.

We filed ours on January 9th and it got accepted on January 12th says we will receive ours January 19th-February 08th…I mean the IRS says there not accepting until the 19th of January…so I’m wondering if they will be approved the 19th…so confusing

Filed 1/12 accepted 1/12. Had some error the next day, ‘topic 152’ (I think), but that quickly went away, and now I have been at 1 bar @ WMR for past couple of days. I sure hope there is some truth to the 1/19-1/22 DD dates! :D

I filed with Jackson Hewitt for the first time with them on 1/11. I got an email the next day on 1/12 that my federal was accepted by IRS and today got an email from Jackson Hewitt that my state was accepted. I am able to go into JH website and see all my information to pending and accepted. Just the waiting game now.

This will be my first year using an IP Pin (not to be confused with a regular PIN for e file). Last year I filed, not knowing I needed one and it was a mess. Thankfully I used the Taxpayer Advocate service to move it along and got my refund in April.

This year, I have yet to receive my letter with my new IP PIN. I was going to retrieve it online, but the system is down for maintenance :(

I usually use free tax USA however, this year I used Liberty Tax and I have regretted it since. I call and ask questions and no one ever know the answers. I was lied to by the manager and head boss of that location. They just don’t seem that trust worthy to me. Any thoughts on them?

I had on offset last year as well. I settled my debt with the creditor and was taken out of default and off the offset list. When I called the 800 number it was still saying that I had an offset, so I called the Dept. of Treasury and spoke with a gentleman and he told me that I was no longer an active offset. He said that the phone system hadn’t been updated.

Just checked my statement from last year. I filed early but was a weekly instead of daily and got my refund 2/4 deposited in my account and that was also my ddd. So this year I will likely be the same and looking for a ddd of 2/3

Has anyone heard about the IRS W-2 verification testing? I have always filed before I got my W-2 because I knew exactly what would be on it. I have no idea if mine this year will have this id number. Also Taxslayer doesn’t ask for it. I hope these don’t screw up returns and refunds.

I file early every year and gets accepted early every year also and never had any issues but I always get my return usually the first group after the IRS officially starts processing which is the 19th. Bet we will see deposits Jan 29th and on. Just a guess.

I was trying to remember that last year they said first deposit date would be 5th but actually got mine on January 30th. Has that been the case most years? Is it earlier then they anticipate if there’s no problems with your return?
