Hard to say for sure. Normally, yes but this year has been different. I was able to order my transcripts two weeks ago and I’m finally getting my refund next Wednesday. The only way to know for sure is check the account transcript to see if the 846 code is there.
Still no updates for me. Filed 2/8 and only codes on my transcript are 150 and 806. I have no credits so I don’t really know what the hold up is. I have called twice and both times, they just say that it is still processing and to keep checking WMR.
I filed on 2/8 and still dont have a DDD. No letters, no hold codes. No credits. Dont really know what the hold up is. Called yesterday but was told to just keep checking WMR and it is just still being processed. Blah!
February 26, 2017 at 4:50 pm in reply to: Missing Bars & Refund Amt Only 4 Days After Filing/Being Accepted… #4186744The errors could be anything really. Missing forms, maybe even a new address could have set off the error. Most big updates are Wed and Sat mornings then smaller updates on the other days. Im a weekly so I know I will only update on Saturday mornings. Daily people can update pretty much anyday.
February 26, 2017 at 4:29 pm in reply to: Missing Bars & Refund Amt Only 4 Days After Filing/Being Accepted… #4186733From what Ive seen, the still processing message comes because of an error which can be for many different reasons. Basically, the computer will work out the errors but if it cant then it needs to be manually reviewed and then a letter will get sent out if needed. Once everything is good to go again, then this message will update to the generic “we have received your return and it is being processed.” Then usually a DDD will come with the next update.
Since your WMR updated to this message on a Friday, it means you are probably a daily so this process could go rather quick for you unless you do need wait for a letter.

Ashley,
You should see an update overnight with a DDD of March 1st. Fingers crossed.
Filed 2/8 and FINALLY able to order my return transcript. I can’t actually see it so I might have them faxed to me. I had NO credits so there shouldn’t be any type of hold or freeze. Hoping we all see a DD tomorrow!!
Hey atleast some of you have a bar.. I haven’t had a bar since two days after I was accepted on the 8th. Ugh. Hopefully we all update on Saturday.
I’m thinking the account transcripts just keep updating like that until the return transcript is done. So next week (if you don’t get a DDD this week) it will say March 27th.
I’m not calling until after the 21 days, I don’t want them to give me any reason to send me mail. I haven’t received anything and won’t call them to see IF they mailed anything. It seems like to me that people that are calling are saying that they are told that they need to ID verify and are told that a letter has already been mailed which I doubt is the care the most of the time. “OH you haven’t received a letter? Well gosh, I will just send one today then! Nope, not me. Not doing it.
February 22, 2017 at 2:20 pm in reply to: WMR didn't update for me last night BUT PROGRESS IS HAPPENING! Filed 2/15 #4184025Actually I read that wrong, I thought you said you could see your return transcript. If it is just the account transcript, then it might be a week yet before you see DDD. But who knows, IRS is wacky this year.

Nothing here either. Filed and accepted on the 8th. Had one bar for like two days and then the still being processed message. I have been able to order my account transcript since last Friday but nothing on my return transcript. I am a weekly so I’m really hoping to see my return transcript available on Friday and then a DDD for March 1st.
A 1099-R is for a retirement distribution. It is not self-employment. There is an IRS penalty for taking distributions early unless the money was to pay certain things, like a house or medical bills. The IRS penalty is 10% on top of the taxes taken out.
