Filed 1/29, accepted same day. The next day I received a message stating it can take 1 month to process. I called (916) 845-7088 to ask if I needed to complete id verification, or if the one month to process was standard. She put me on hold, and when she came back she advised me that I needed to fax proof for my dependant (my natural born son). She requested a copy of his birth certificate, both of our social security cards, and a letter from his doctor or school to prove his address is the same as mine. She assured me that once this information was received, my tax return would be processed. I got very lucky on the first try and received a very nice agent who was very willing to help. I would suggest calling because it doesn’t hurt.
