Thank you for the information.
You would think that if someone has claimed the same children for the past 3 years with verifiable SSN’s and everything, that there wouldn’t be an issue. Oh well. I have patience.
What is an additional child tax credit? I’ve been getting the same CTC for each child for the past 3 years. Nothing has changed. 1000 per child.
I also was accepted on 1/23. But, upon checking this morning, my bars are removed and I get the Path Act / EIC message:
“According to the Protecting Americans from Tax Hikes (PATH) Act, the IRS cannot issue refunds before February 15 for tax returns that claim the Earned Income Tax Credit or the Additional Child Tax Credit. This applies to the entire refund, even the portion not associated with these credits.
Check Where’s My Refund after February 15 for your personalized refund status. It’s updated once a day and remains the best way to check the status of your refund.”So apparently anyone expecting a refund can get delayed, not just those who claimed EIC and AC.
Bummer, because I thought Path Act only pertained to EIC and AC credits.
I used Turbo Tax, NON EIC, file don 1/20, just got accepted.
Bart, what does it mean when people get this when trying to access their transcript?
We cannot process your transcript request. Please contact the Identity Protection Specialized Unit (IPSU) at 800-908-4490.
I got this last year as well when trying to access my transcript. I didn’t have a delay in my refund.
Also, what are the chances that those who filed and were accepted on 1/28 will get a DDD next week if they don’t have any hiccups?
Thanks!
