I filed and was accepted on the 23rd and was wondering why i’m still on a “routine review” message..apparently my return went thru the 1st routine review and was bumped into a SECOND “routine” review ..apparently this is very common (yea right) and my return was placed at the 2nd manual review on Feb 8th..now here’s my favorite part, they review in order by date they received and update weekly to the next batch and they are currently reviewing in returns they received on Jan 25th! so if they take one week to go over one day it looks like they will get to mine in a few months..thanks PA. Has anyone had this happen to them before?

Stephanie I would say you are in the lucky group and now you just have to be patient :) There are still many of us who filed before you that are still in the “waiting for routine review” and have not seen any movement at all.. every year when it says 4-6 weeks it usually takes a week or so, yours is at least on its way and I would just continue to check every morning :)

I filed on the 23rd accepted the 24th and my message is STILL” currently under routine review” Is ANYONE who filed this early still under the same message? It appears that most have switched to the 8-10 or 4-6 weeks message.

Filed the 23rd and have never received the “waiting on routine review” message in any other years. Has anyone received that in past years and it processed right through or does this REALLY mean I am going to join the ” I have been placed in review and will have to wait for weeks and months to get my return” club?
