      I had a ddd of 2/5 and was caught up in the technical glitch like so many others so my refund was delayed. Well as of early this morning my deposit hit my bank account. Not sure if the paper check thing is real, maybe only affecting a small number of people but I can definitely say there are those who got their direct deposits this morning. Good luck everyone!

          Is everyone going to try and get their $40.00 dollars back for the hell we have been through the last few days? I’m thinking about emailing and seeing how far I get with turbo tax about it…

          I’m game! I’m not optimistic about the outcome but I’ll certainly try.

              I would be SICK if my DDD was on 2/5 and still haven’t gotten it yet SMH these tax prep websites need to fix that issue expeditiously!! I seen sooo many other people going thru this same issue last year.. I’m choosing free file lol or paying fees upfront… I hate dealing with 3rd party companies bcuz they could give 2 Fs about our money

              Yeah I’ve learned my lesson this year. In previous years I’ve never experienced this. I’ve always had fees taken out and received my refund on the morning of my ddd. Luckily for me, I didn’t need the money for bills but it’s still very annoying to go through this. Between all the emails to sbtpg and checking their site and my bank’s site for days, they should probably pay that $40 processing fee to ME. lol

              I feel very bad for those who depended on their refund for bills. It’s horrible the position sbtpg has put people in.

                Nothing in my wells Fargo.

                Santa Barbara Bank closed my ticket without offering any type of assistance. There is progress but this is ridiculous. I totally learned my lesson. Will never use TurboTax or pay fees from my refund again.

                Same here. Nothing in bank yet but I’m not expecting anything until Monday. Optically, it looks bad how they closed our tickets. My tickets were all closed with this message: “We were unable to process your request with the information provided. If you feel this is in error, please respond back to the original email to reopen the ticket.”

                Such BS as I gave them all of my info and they were able to pull up my accounts with that info. They could have used another reason for closing like “Closed due to issue being resolved” or something.

                My question: If I continue using Turbo Tax but pay for my own fees, does my refund still have to go through SBTPG? If so, then I may need to find another tax filing company too.

                  So, where are you guys seeing your bank information? They said they sent my money yesterday to my Netspend card and I’ve yet to receive a damn thing. As far as I know, Netspend doesn’t hold the money, they’ll release it immediately. I don’t know what’s going on

                  It would be on the bottom of the page on sbtpg. It’s very visible so it you can’t find it, it’s probably not there. (On desktop/laptop, not sure about mobile)

                      Mine just updated to say this, “02/07/2020 ACH Direct Deposit Please allow 1-2 business days for this deposit to reach your account”

                      Yessss!!!! If I’m lucky it will be there tomorrow but I’ll be cool if it doesn’t hit til Monday. It’s just nice to see the light at the end of the tunnel finally!

                                Okay so, mine has updated to an extent. Now I can view what fees/deductions are going to be taken out and the final amount I will receive. No date listed yet for my return, but I am no longer getting the “we don’t have your return” message.

                                  They will grab this year. I’ve never heard of a one year grace period. When I owed, they took it from my refund immediately.

                                      Most people from 2/5 is waiting thats was my refund date.

                                      It seems a fair bit of us are but if you go through this thread and others you’ll see a TON who got theirs on the 5th and some on the 4th. Even on FB. For a while there, I thought I was the only one who didn’t get it until more of you starting showing up here.

                                        No sorry for any confusion. Like @razor said my ddd on transcript updated to 2/12 this morning but I used TT so I am just curious if this is happening to everyone who had fees deducted, or if there were some people who got theirs on time.

                                        No most people with DDD of 2/5 got it on time and some even got it a day early on 2/4. We’re the group who are being played with by sbtpg for some reason. I keep asking sbtpg why others got their refunds on time and why we haven’t and they refuse to answer me. I even told them the IRS already deposited our money in their accounts on 2/5 according to the IRS but sbtpg is ignoring me and refuses to communicate with me.

                                          I don’t have anything either. Only deposit today was me and hubby’s paychecks. At least I can go out and get our new phones today despite not having our refunds yet. I’m borrowing from my self. I’m so angry with SBTPG. The reps must have been told to stop talking to us because now anytime I get a new rep via email and explain to them that I’m one of those DDD 2/5 people they give me a canned response and then they refuse to contact me further even though I ask them questions.

                                          4 reps have done this to me so I think their bosses are telling them to give us the canned reply and to not engage with us any more.

                                            @Michelle I and numerous others had a 2/4 date of deposit. We did not receive our deposits until late last night or this morning depending on our bank deadlines.some banks only lost till 5 pm others wait till the following day .so sbtpg has gotten slammed from first round and shortly after the site was non functioning

                                            sk: If I recall correctly, you were all DDD of 2/5 and some of you when checking sbtpg saw the date of 2/4 as the date sbtpg received your money. Then you started seeing your routing numbers showing up.

                                            In our cases, sbtpg is saying they still don’t have our money (we’re all ddd 2/5 too) but the WMR is showing us 3 bars with the statement that the IRS sent the money on 2/5 to the banks.

                                            If I’m correct, then we’re sort of experiencing a different issue than you. I do get your point though that they’re backed up and that may be why we’re being delayed but I’m worried about how LONG that delay will be. If it took you 24 hours to get your money after sbtpg updated saying they got your money, then on that same timeline, if sbtpg updates our accounts tomorrow saying they got our money, we won’t see it in our banks until Saturday or Monday. Remember, we’re all ddd of 2/5.

                                              The site has been down since early yesterday I’m thinking they are going to leave it down. The 2-4 deposits did not come out till late last night or this morn.some people with the turbo tax rapid refund from a week ago still don’t have access to there money

                                              It was down for me for part of the day but it’s back up now and has been for a few hours now. We’re talking about SBTPG right?

                                                James: I agree. They better get ours out before people with DDD 2/10 start expecting theirs. If not, they’re going to be slammed with even MORE people – those with 2/5 and those with 2/10 for their money. They have until Monday! :D

The rep who called me earlier told me it can take UP TO 48 hours to receive the money . Tomorrow makes those 48 hours. Going to call them bright and early.

                                                        Okay, I just called the offset number (800-304-3107), and I don’t have any offsets so SBTPG needs to give me my damned money.

                                                        As I theorize, there is something going on with SBTPG as this delay is affecting too many of us at the same time for it to be something like offsets.

                                                        Btw, the SBTPG reps have stopped replying to me after they told me to wait 5 BUSINESS days until I contact them again. They’re hiding something, you guys.

                                                          I found this: The IRS provides a toll-free number, (800) 304-3107, to call for information about tax offsets. You can call this number, go through the automated prompts, and see if you have any offsets pending on your social security number.

                                                              This happened to me in 2015, I recommend you contact treasury not the IRS to make sure they actually sent your refund, I had a DDD and showed refund issued on transcript, next day it never came or went to SBTPG. Contacted treasury they stated it was never sent and the IRS cancelled my refund because of a offset I had that they forgot to put on it.

                                                              Call treasury first

                                                              Then if you can check transcripts, your WMR will update to code 1121

                                                              Thanks for the advice! I have no offsets and I think a fair amount of people have already confirmed they also don’t have offsets. The other issue is that this is affecting a whole lot of us. Tons of FB posts about it and even some people on the Turbo Tax community. If the treasury failed to send SBTPG our money that’s going to affect dozens if not more of us.

                                                                Looks like SBTPG has given up on me. I keep asking them to explain how others got theirs yesterday and also asking why they aren’t adhering to their own policy on their FAQ about getting our returns the same day it would have come to us if the IRS sent it directly to our bank account.

                                                                  Are you emailing back and forth with someone or talking with someone on the phone. If on the phone, what number did you use? I cant get an actual person on the automated line. I’m in the same boat? IRS website updated to show they sent it yesterday, this damn bank says they haven’t received it. I emailed them and their last email said they were going to escalate my inquiry, but I call BS and want to talk to an actual person lol.

                                                                          @Michelle yes, I think they do and after reading about the ACH transfers I believe there is a reason they are holding it. Maybe it gains interest the bank gets to keep? I’m not that good with money matters so that’s just a guess.

                                                                          Others were surmising the same thing about sbtpg holding the money for interest which is shady as heck so shame on them if that’s true. That’s why they charge us $40 in fees to process our refunds.

                                                                            After sending 3 tickets to them today via their site, I just got a response from them asking for my info so they can pull up my account. I’m fully expecting to hear the same script you guys have. Also, I have a feeling their “escalations” are just to buy some time. That’s a well-known tactic in call centers and I should know, I used to work in them for over a decade.

                                                                                  Just an idea for those still in the boat: If you don’t see your money by end of business Monday, you may want to look into contact the IRS. We’re all small potatoes but if the IRS gets involved they will be able to actually do something about this bank. I’m hoping we’ll all get our money by Friday night and maybe even into Monday (at this rate) but just in case it gets more serious, remember we have the mighty IRS on our side.

                                                                                    Just received an email back from SBTPG and it advised me that I needed to read the message on the IRS website that says it could take 5 days for me to receive my refund.

                                                                                    That bank is infuriating!! Whomever is running that bank needs to be fired. Wonder if they have a new CEO or something this year because this has never happened before in all of the years I’ve used TT and SBTPG.

                                                                                      Same here! There’s also another site that has some super scary stories from others about that bank. I just hope they give me everything I’m owed minus the fees I agreed to because there some people claiming the bank took out hundreds more than they were supposed to. One person claimed they never got ANY of their money. :(

Why did some people get their deposits yesterday, which was their DDD, and we didn’t. What is the difference? Because on this thread I read we were all in the same boat, TT filling with fees being taken out.

                                                                                        I have an email thread with them as well and the last thing they told me was that they were escalating my case. I plan to harass them via email all day long. I think if enough of us do that they will have no choice but to take action.

Just wanted to put that out there to show they aren’t even adhering to their own policy of starting the disbursement when the IRS gives them the notification of a pending payment. If they had started the process, all of us would have seen something happen on our accounts and we certainly would have gotten our money with the others yesterday since that’s when the IRS is saying they sent the money.

                                                                                          “How does the Refund Transfer work?
                                                                                          Usually 1 to 2 days before a refund is scheduled to arrive, the IRS sends a pre-notification of the refund amount to TPG. The IRS does not deposit the money at this time, but it is only a notification that the refund is on its way. We set up the disbursement upon receiving that pre-notification so that the money reaches the taxpayer on the same day it would have if the money was deposited directly from the the IRS into the taxpayer’s bank account.”

                                                                                                So I spoke to the SBTPG and they representative told me they have not received my refund money and that they need to escalate my case. Meanwhile the iRS is telling that they sent it since yesterday and they IRS representative went as far as giving me the routing number it had been deposited to (096017418) which I googled and is a GREEN DOT routing number…which is also SBTPG. This is absolutely ridiculous! And if there are this many of us having this issue then there MUST BE something wrong on their end. I sent them an email that if I did not get IMMEDIATE response as to where my money was I was going to pursue legal action. Which I fully intend to do.

                                                                                                Needless to say I’m never using them again to file my taxes.

                                                                                                They own Green Dot but that’s still concerning since they’re not admitting to even having your money even though you have a routing number where it was deposited. If I don’t see my refund in my bank account by tomorrow I’m really going to be livid. IRS is giving it until Monday based on their WMR message so I guess even they can’t do much for us until then.

I have talked to all agencies and my money has been sent to SBTPG and they are saying it hasn’t been. I can even find anywhere to log on to their website now. I will never use them again!! There has to be some way to get some help.

                                                                                                    Seems they’ve taken down their login page for taxpayers. It’s all very suspicious.

                                                                                                      I agree. I’m not ever using SBTPG again. I’m kicking myself as I had the money available to pay the fee but I decided to just let them take it from my refund. Now I’ve learned my lesson. TT charged me the $40 to do/file my taxes (which is fine) but then SBTPG charged another $40 to process my refund by taking out the fees. So SBTPG got $40 from me and in return I get the run-around about my money and they haven’t even sent it to my bank yet even though my ddd was yesterday.

                                                                                                      They will never get another dime out of me and I’ll tell everyone I know to avoid them at all costs. Just not worth it.

                                                                                                                        Same situation here. My DDD was yesterday. WMR shows refund sent today. SBTGP shows they have NOT received. Used TT with fees taken out like every year, this had never happened before. I submitted a ticket with support because it is impossible to get a live person. If anybody knows how to do that please post here. I am also on mobile site, will check on desktop when I get into the office, but yesterday that did not help.

WMR actually updated to all 3 bars today so I got optimistic but upon checking my bank there’s nothing. Then I checked SBTGP and they’re still reporting that they don’t have my money from the IRS. This is getting ridiculous. I’m so mad right now. Glad to know I’m not alone, though.

                                                                                                                            I know, right! Even people on FB who were in our situation all got their refunds earlier tonight. It’s so frustrating.

                                                                                                                                    Yes Lucy, however I didnt read if your WMR had updated? If so, was it for 2/5? In that case, it just might not update at all but funds were probably sent. My WMR hasn’t updated to “Funds sent” but SBG has recieved the funds from the IRS and have updated. Sometimes that just happens.
                                                                                                                                    If WMR hasn’t updated, you won’t get yours until next week most likely.

                                                                                                                                    I was told a lot of people get their money before WMR updates. It’s the Sbtpg and their bank that matters now.

                                                                                                                                      According to sbtpg they don’t even have my refund from the IRS yet so there’s no date. On IRS it says DDD is 2/5.

I wasn’t expecting a refund until late Feb so I don’t know if I should get my hopes up or not. Lol. I got excited to see a DDD for 02/05.

                                                                                                                                            @ Nicole look at turbo tax rapid refund forum very early on green dot and this bank has had issues SBTPG and green dot are sister co. and all along they have had serious issues.Im sure it will show up by tom.

                                                                                                                                            I peeked into that rapid refund thread and wow. Also, I checked the sbtpg page on Facebook and it’s gotten a ton of complaints from people. At this point, I wouldn’t be surprised if I don’t get access to the money until late tomorrow or early Friday. SBTPG seems to be a very poorly run bank.

                                                                                                                                                i spoke with a IRS rep and if we received a date before feb 27, she said it’s because we are apart of their test run. She said to give it a a little more time than normal with the test runs. As in it could drop tonight or tomorrow. Refunds aren’t supposed to be issued til early March

That explanation makes sense and now I can understand why it’s hit or miss when/if we get our refunds today. Some started getting them late last night while others have been getting them throughout the day. Hopefully I’ll see mine tonight or tomorrow but I won’t start really sweating until Friday. lol

All of the other years (been banking with the same bank and filing with TT every year) I was able to access my refund the morning of the DDD. This is the first time I’ve seen this happen this way. Others have noticed the same thing.

                                                                                                                                                    Where do you guys see the account number and routing numbers at? What page is that on? I used TT, it’s giving me a DDD as 2/11 and WMR says today 2/5

                                                                                                                                                    Not everyone is seeing it. I’m only getting the message that sbtpg still doesn’t have my refund from the IRS. I believe those that are seeing their account numbers are the ones where sbtpg has received their money from the IRS and are in the process of transferring it to their banks. What’s sad is that we all have the same DDD of 2/5 but only some people are seeing their bank account numbers.

No $ yet, used TT and had them deduct funds. WMR doesnt say sent and now I’ve checked it too many times lol. Anyone else?

WMR won’t update until you’ve already received your money most likely so don’t go by that. I’ve been refreshing my bank and sbtg over and over though. lol
