I read that you aren’t required to pay it back unless the person is deceased. They are actually advising people who may be over the threshold this year to hold off on filing taxes so they can still qualify for it based on 2019 returns.
Just got my DD about an hour ago came from Turbo Tax.
Nothing for me yet. Traditional bank….. received both emails from TT and I had fees removed from my refund. I have hope that it’s coming and it’s just my bank taking forever to process it. Maybe I’ll see it tonight or tomorrow morning. Thanks!
Just wanted to let everyone know, I still have status #2 on getmypayment and I received my stimulus via tt card this morning at 10 o’clock. The negative balance was deducted from my stimulus payment. It’s coming, hang in there.
Did you file with Turbo Tax?
I’m guessing SBTPG means those who filed 2019 taxes with dd because 2020 taxes have not been filed. Am I right or am I reading this wrong? Why everything has to be so confusing just say we are sending y’all money😩😩
I think you’re correct.
Part 2
Clients who received their disbursement on a cashier’s check can claim their EIP2 on their 2020 return using the Rebate Recovery Credit as directed by the IRS. We are confident that this is the best solution for getting money into the hands of so many American taxpayers who depend on these funds.
From Santa Barbara Bank:
Fortunately, TPG was able to pivot quickly and we are now issuing payments directly to taxpayers who have an established bank account (UBA) on file with us. This means that taxpayers who chose to have their 2020 tax refund disbursed by direct deposit to an existing bank account or funded to a Green Dot card product (including the TurboCard, Walmart MoneyCard), will have their EIP2 payment directed to that account as early as Monday January 11th.
I checked with my bank and nothing is pending. I filed with TT and had fees taken out. Transcript says refund sent 1/4 but was sent to TT bank. I have a regular bank and can’t see incoming deposits pending but I did call my bank and they did see it. Last name is C.
So it looks like TT people are starting to see stimulus checks that were originally deposited to the TT bank? If so, post what your status on WMP says. It’ll help other people.
Thanks @Lin and everyone else relaying what they have discussed with IRS
@Lin Irs didn’t know about the email that TT sent out? Did they say they plan to resissue our checks?
Well I updated to STILL PROCESSING and my bars completely disappeared
